    Thank you so much for your tips and comparison! It helps me a lot as a young beginner baker since it's easy to understand ❤️ I decorated my cupcakes with Whipped Cream but I'm having trouble on keeping them from melting during decorating, also the texture aren't too clear as buttercream so I'm thinking on trying buttercream frosting for decoration. Yet most of my customers preferred the Whipped Cream taste more so I'm in dilemma 😂😂 You really help me a lot with the comparison between the two cream so I can discuss further with my mom on the suitable frosting for decoration! 😊 TQ Again for sharing ❤️

    for buttercream it's really not good to chew... feels very fatty in the mouth. Meanwhile, whipcream tastes like chewing ice cream. If you use good quality vanilla extract for the whipcream, it will make your cake on the high level, like eating cake and ice cream, perfect.

    • @AsiaCoffee

      There are a few things you can do to buttercream to reduce the sweetness! 1) Add salt to taste or 2) Add lemon juice to taste or 3) Reduce the amount of powdered sugar by substituting a portion of the powdered sugar with plain cornstarch. Thanks for watching! 💕

      I keep running into comments like this while seeking out new buttercream recipes to try. The past THREE times I've made it it's way too buttery and not sweet like the store bought cakes I've ordered with buttercream. What am I doing wrong😭

    • @AsiaCoffee
      @AsiaCoffee  Год назад

      Buttercream has real butter in it. It’s quite possible that the bakeries you’ve ordered cakes from in the past are not using buttercream containing real butter. They typically use 1) Buttercream made with vegetable shortening to keep it “shelf stable” or 2) Whipped icing. If you’re going for the more sweet/less buttery taste, I would recommend you try a icing/frosting recipe that doesn’t include butter. 💕
