Love Nirvana, but it's just pathetic how so many post-grunge guitarists get lazy and don't even attempt to do anything different. Makes for a very boring rock scene. Maybe that's why the rock scene struggles to stay relevant.
Shen Jamyn he did heroin and made songs about it. The song dances around the subject, but never addresses it: probably so idiots can fill in the blanks and feel happy with their beliefs.
^This is called the iceberg effect, and it's not for idiots. It's purposefully ambiguous and open for interpretation, because it means something different to everyone.

I know the meaning has nothing to do with what I'm saying, but still lmao- I guess it's cause when I was crying one day and listened to this, it made me feel better. It's weird but it makes this song feel really special to me
One of my favorite nirvana songs and I'm still listening in 2021!
The Earth is Flat! I can't complain, because complaints are prayers for the devil!
It is hard when you have a child that feels this way....Doesn't even talk to ya and you don't even know what ya did?
if you dont know what you did then you werent paying attention God bless you
how's the kid nowadays?
Love Nirvana, but it's just pathetic how so many post-grunge guitarists get lazy and don't even attempt to do anything different. Makes for a very boring rock scene. Maybe that's why the rock scene struggles to stay relevant.
kurt loves his flat earth
Shen Jamyn he did heroin and made songs about it. The song dances around the subject, but never addresses it: probably so idiots can fill in the blanks and feel happy with their beliefs.
^This is called the iceberg effect, and it's not for idiots. It's purposefully ambiguous and open for interpretation, because it means something different to everyone.
Kurt knew that it would sound like gibberish to most, but, for those of us that "have the ears to hear" his message, we get it! "Plateau" is another one, because, they are also flat, lol
Dope lives on.
Shen Jamyn actually in the 90s there weren’t idiots who believed in this fucked up “flat earth” shit, ever since the birth of internet these idiots have somehow got a voice, and dickheads jump on the bandwagon
Long time Nirvana fan, but I had a long absence. I had the idea that I would really dig in to the lyrics and rediscover them. Then Kurt goes "These lyrics don't make any sense" and suddenly it all made sense.
Thanks Kurt
The finest day that i've ever had was when i learned to cry on command..
MrSulu🤓WhattaYaSayWeSetSail🛸ForTheDrunken🍶Dragon👨🎤
I understand him clearly. I''m on a plane, I can't complain....
So in the description it's wrong this is not the album on a plane this is the album nevermind
It's 2019, Nirvana never gets old.
So when you guys see the word 'plain' on the screen, do you immediately think 'peanut'?
This song is about flat Earth. plain
Really? God help us
i heard this song before flat earth .now i come back thinking about it and saw your coment
It's about heroin use
Bored and Generic Yup, the tapping of the vein and flickering of a lighter beforehand says it all. I personally believe in the Flat Earth Theory but I shot dope for 8 years. It's very obvious this is a drug/IVing type song!
Josh Yettou well it's cool that your not trying to shove that theory in everyone's face
Nirvana rules, so....I CANT COMPLAIN!!
Soaked In Bleech👌👌
I believe the person that disliked this did it because you messed up in the most obvious easiest and repeated part off the song:
I love myself better THAN you.... no "better THEN you", that doesn't make any sense
Better then? ha
I love myself better than you...,
best moment i ever had was when on a airplane i asked my brother how he is and says im on a plain i cant complain
This is about heroine, isn't it?
This sounds sightly simalar to "Dumb"
I don't know if anyone has proposed this but I always though this song was about the internal struggle of trying to justify dumping someone for being bad in bed.
*RIP Kurt*
Yes
I love myself better than u
*~Kurt D Cobain 1991*
it should be than you
I mean damn, can you really blame that baby for wanting to sue?
Like, hell, if I was in the cover of the greatest album to ever drop on the face of the Earth I'd probably want to have a cut of that earning too. Not even gonna lie.
flat earth
Got so high scratched til I bled. As a struggling heroin addict it’s harsh to not feel these lyric now at a time in my life where I’m in between trying to find the strength to push on or eat a bullet. Rip Kurt
same dude, same...
Right here with ya..
