It’s 3am and I can’t sleep. So glad I can’t sleep because I found you on youtube! I’m your new subscriber. I am absolutely, positively, totally in love with this creatively, fun, quirky borders. I’m going to make some using my gelli scraps. Thanks for sharing your creative inspiration.
Thanks Barbara, it is lovely to have you here with me, but I am sorry about your insomnia, thank goodness for RUclips! Have fun making these borders! 💗💗
Absolutely beautiful borders, Kari! Such yummy colours! I first saw Ilene McInnis make these about 5 years ago and was hooked! I’ve made hundreds since then. They really are such fun to make aren’t they and very addictive! Tfs. Hugs, Dee xxx
YES! I will be doing this! I LOVE these borders. I've been making my own "Holtzy-style" collage papers with stamps, and now I will also be having fun making beautiful, fun borders. Thank you, Kari!
Just painted several papers, some with words, some large music paper, and this will be the perfect way, new way for me, to put them to good use! Thanks!!! 💝🧵💝✂️💝🪡💝
These borders look absolutely gorgeous! What a great idea to use number stamps to build patterns! I am not a doodeling person but I can't wait to make some of those based on your inspiration. I think I can use my tearing rulers for fancy edges instead of hand cutting them. And it's the perfect use for left over gelli prints or otherwise painted papers as well as for all my acrylic paint and glitter markers. Thank you so much for sharing. ❤ from Germany
They are fabulous Kari!! I’m looking forward to try making some in the future. I’d be happy to send you a few sheets of music paper, if you like. Please let me know!
Once again, you've hit me at just the right time for some new inspiration! We have to be on the same wavelength somehow, Kari :) Because it seems that every time I get stuck for something to do, you just come right along with an amazing vid full of ideas of fun things to do! Yay! My Art Compadre! LOL Thank you, darling. I appreciate you!
LOL, my partner in crime, I am glad this hit at the right time. Thank you for your lovely comment, it did make me smile. Love and Bless to you too, have fun making some of these! 💗🙂💗xx
Great borders! Years back I made borders for classroom bulletin boards. I would save the plastic sheet that came in packaged bacon and make seasonal border stencils out of them. I would then fanfold the construction paper and cut up my designs. So much fun. BTW, the borders would be laminated and the fold lines would press out.
I LOVE this idea. And I love the formate of your presentation. You explain and speed it up.There are many tubers with great ideas. But they are Tedious to watch and listen to.💕🌴
I can never find paper that suits my color preferences, so I make my own. All the off cuts make fun borders- but you really got my creative juices flowing to use stiffer paper to make borders that Peale out of pages! Thank you so very much!
Oh Kari you're gonna need music paper in the next collage challenge! Unless you swap out something, hmm, wish I could send you some to get there in time, thought we all had music paper.
You are simply brilliant. You don't waste anything do you? I have just found you. And I love the way you take what's left from one idea and turn that into another border. But I don't have the fabulous stamps you have. Hmmmm I'm going to look at what I have and see if I'm able to use something sideways or upside down or whatever. You have inspired and old lady. I'm 73 and sometimes I have trouble finding something interesting to use. Thank you. I will subscribe and like this video.
Thank you so much Marlene, yes I like to use everything which is why I have quite the hoard. Yes, see what stamps you can repurpose - or use things from around the house, bottle lids, a cork, a sewing thread bobbin etc. I hope you can find some things to use! 💗💗
Oh my goodness , you are incredible! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Thank you so much for sharing! You are an awesome artist! Love, love, love!heart ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
These are fabulous. It will give me an opportunity to practice tangles in a functional way. And it will act as a warm-up exercise for drawing. Thanks so much.
Great idea, very inspiring! I think I'm going to try making some "vintage" looking ones, as most of my journals are in the more muted colors. How fun to make a bunch of them in different styles!
These are amazing! I can’t wait to pull out my supplies and get started. I have some pretty cool stamps that would look so good with this technique. Wonder what would happen if one used a bit of embossing on this as well? TYSM for sharing this inspirational video! You have so much talent.🤗
Am looking forward to playing with these ! I have book pages and music paper, etc. & am about to start on an artsy prayer journal. These would perfect!! And an alternative to cutting svg borders. Thanks for sharing!!
These are a great idea! I like the thought of having something creative to do and make without doing a journal page. Sometimes I feel creative but don't want to do a full page, I just want to lay down some colour and doodle without making a completed piece. Sometimes I just do random backgrounds or pull Gel Prints - but these are a brilliant idea, so many possibilities. Thank you!
wow! I'm so glad so glad I found your video. As soon as i'm done watching this video i'm going to go make some. ive subscribed and im looking forward to seeing more.
