The DLC for Elden Ring is finally here! And you know what? This game is too easy! Time to crank it up a notch by playing Shadow of the Erdtree on NG+7! Time to see what if the land of shadows can pose a REAL threat. This build is a continuation of the same build used in our previous video "Can Beating Every Boss Through NG+7 Get You To MAX STATS?"

The Devs really were like: "Okay, so you think that you 'need' A LOT of Dex for spells to be usable? Nah, here you go: Beloved Stardust Talisman. Oh, you keep running out of FP? Here you go: Blessed Blue Dew Talisman. You want a spell that's more powerful than the majority of weapons? Fine, Impenetrable Thorns." And to top it all off, they didn't even add a Grave Warden Duelist Spirit Ash.
It's like they're trying to spite you, Phil lol.
The stardust talisman is a trap. -30% absorbtion is not worth ~0.15s shorter casting startup unless you're doing RL1 and you're getting oneshot anyway.

What is this hard mode shit? PC have a difficulty setting? Is it a mod? I keep hearing it
@@eovniel "hard mode" is simply what some people call ng+7. After you complete the game once you get the option to go into new game+ and for every cycle you do up to +7 the bosses get more health and do more damage. There is no actual difficulty slider
@@saltefan5925 dont get hit, diminishing returns on resistance is a thing so that 30% really isnt a lot, and what if you arent a caster that uses dex? what if you wanna use strength? that talisman saves you a potential 60 points to put into another stat that isnt dex.

The chakram enemy actually can drop that weapon. It's technically a "backhand blade" but it's effectively a chakram.
Wait they can? Didn’t know they could cus you can get that weapon as a pickup in one of the smithing stone places
It actually dropped for me on the *first* try, like five minutes into the DLC. When my friend who was playing it with me revealed that wasn't a guaranteed drop, I took it as a sign that I had to use the weapon.
It was fun.

I feel a modder might easily make the crystallian chakrams now - just make them backhand blades that can be thrown (like the smith script chakram) and are paired. Voilá, perfectly fits the moves of the boss. Weaponskill would be the special fancy spin they do :D

17:50 Your hands stay vulnerable when jumping, which is why you can get knocked down while jumping. Certain weapons have your hands lower when jumping making you get hit by those attacks. This is what we call - peak game design.

I would highly recommend going through the backlog of other videos if you like these so much. I spent 1 or 2 weekends just binging them, maybe you'll find where some of the jokes came from.
I started at ng+7, but that was because 2 years ago, I didn't think we'd get an DLC. It's rough, but I'm getting through it, alright. So far, I'm diggin' it.

Facts
Gonna be honest, never prepared a character for the dlc and went through using my ng+16 (though it doesn't scale past 7) character while at rune level 409. While I had a lot of levels and weapons to use, the dlc kicked my ass. Those blessings were a life saver.

The terraria stylist is the OG magic hair growth enthusiast as far as I'm concerned.
Fun Fact: A +12 Cerulean Flask recovers 220 FP so there's no reason to level Mind beyond 38 since you have 221 max FP with that amount of Mind (unless you want to have more FP than you can recover with a single Flask).
Dont level vigor past what the flask will recover - unless you wanna have more hp then the flask can recover in one gulp.

There is a slight bit of a difference between a resource you use whenever YOU want and the resource that decreases when enemies hit you and DIE WHEN ITS EMPTY
You will practicly never use 100% of your FP, for example when you still have like 5 FP but cant cast any spell or incantation the flask is wasted for some FP. So leveling Mind to 40-42 or smth should be better right?

In the base game you can explore to level up, in the DLC you have to explore to level up.

I loved this DLC so much, nothing gave me more joy than to find an obscure little side path or dungeon that suddenly spits me out in a new area or a place I spotted earlier from a cliff. Best fromsoft map since DS1.

I picked up the milady and haven't put it down, I love it! The fact that the one-handed R2>R1>R2>R1>etc is an infinite true combo is insane, but besides that its just nice to use a new weapon with a fresh new moveset that I get to learn. I love your content, and I can't wait to see part two!

I've been on NG+8 since before the dlc and I kept telling myself the bosses wouldn't hurt that bad. I was wrong. They hurt very bad. Scared to fight the final boss. :D
