So sad - we will not see them again over a bright blue sky or in the dead of a dark midnight sky again. However, these videos remind us of a great era in aviation!
I see the Queen of the Skies
is still the plane of choice for Air Force 1
It very sad to see what's happening to the 747 as the new models are like comparing b/W TV to colour.
Enjoyed this British Airways flight
I'm here for the engine roars!
Beautiful takeoff. Love those RR engines. Nice storm action too.
Wow what a view! Nothing like a 747 to fly on, fast becoming a rare beast.
i hope the 747 does not end like concorde did :( that was sad
Noel Philips oh hi Old Noel!
I miss this wing view..Queen of the Skies!
It's sad for sure.
i dont know why but in british airways 747 the engines sound better than any other airline that has a 747 fleet
Beautiful job thanks for taking and posting. Wish they would all buy 747-8s!
No sound 😥
listen to that sound during spool up ! RR 4 ever
The sound of those powerful Rolls Royce engines is a symphony that not everyone can understand and it enchants me...!
me too!!!! Love the roar!!
love the hum on the climb out!
RB-211's are one of the best engines ever produced, they had a rough start but became rock solid over the years, and sound fantastic.
yep!
Very Nice smoth takeoff 👁️🌹✌️
The engine roar sounded so cool! So heartbreaking bc they are rare now!
Very sad they're mostly gone. Flying the 747-8 later this year though. 😊
Rest in peace my beautiful girl...
So sad to hear and say.
Love British airways ❤️✈️🇬🇧
ya even me
What beautiful sounds!!!
I LOVE BRITISH AIRWAYS
Love the Rolls Royce spool up.
ya even me
Love the sound of those RB211s...
2:33 I can see a thunderstorm in the background approaching
Departure beautifully done 🛫
Fantastic takeoff!!!!
Simon Martins Martins thanks for your support
Ohhhh that seatbelt sign!!!!!!!!!!! @3:18
Very nice engine sound ❤️ and take off
Great flight ever.
You incredible Engines!!!
At one point, BA operated 57 Boeing 747s - more than any other airline before during or since.
The sounds are just... ooooh
Nice footage.
you cant beat the sweet song of a set of 4 RB211-524 Rollers
Amen
Yes! Best sound for falling asleep
Ah yes you can 👍these are great but the Trent XWBs and the 77W (GE90-115bs. The queen is gone and is now being replaced with the 777x (positive thing but also sad).
@@AlexanderPessuto the GEs and the XWBs don’t touch the RB211s!
Great sound of those RRs....heavy methinks
Yes they are!
I used the same runway but it was in the tiny E-170 from shuttle america. Never been in a heavy yet.
They need to bring back the 747
Yes they do
Nothing like a Speedbird 747=400 ...
The planes in the takeoff queue include a UA Express jet and an American Eagle plane, two United Airlines Boeing 767-300ERs, a WestJet 737, a United Airlines Boeing 777-200ER, a United Airlines Airbus A319-100, two more regional jets, and an American Airlines Boeing 737-700 or -800.
You have quite the eye. :)
Starting May 8th of 2018 British Airways will start sending their A380-800 to Chicago daily!
listen to that RR RB211-524B engine sound during spool up !!!!!! woooooow !
beutiful plane
amazing view
Thanks. More to come in the next couple weeks
Nice video. Chicago is such a busy airport.
Thanks. Yeah it was busy. Nice that the runway was right there though, not much taxiing.
@@TheFejfAviation I'm from the Bahamas and british airways operates the 777-200 to Nassau.
2:00 - Hey there's the other British Airways LHR-ORD roundtrip, the one that uses a Boeing 777-300ER.
Люди прекрасны,!?
The whole idea of a marshal or wing walker is to protect the aircraft from hitting anything and in bound
748👍 greetings from my friend..
I've noticed that BA 747s take longer to accelerate and use more runway to takeoff. I think it's because BA 747s use Rolls Royce RB211 engines which are a lot less powerful than the Pratt and Whitney engines that other 747s are equipped with.
+Qasim Mir The RB211 on the 747-400 has nearly identical thrust rating with the P&W and GE options which is around 58,000 lbs of static thrust. They're not less powerful at all.
Say what you will but Captain/1ST Officer/Flight Engineer EARN their Paycheck..
Was there much turbulence?
I will be flying on BA to Heathrow next year. I hope I get to fly on a 747!
elephant35e Hope so too. Get to fly on a Virgin 747 in August. Probably one of my last 747 flights.
TheFejf Oh, I remember posting this. Unfortunately, my plans got cancelled :(
hi can i post with credit in instagram ?
The RB's look so small compared to the GE's.
i can imagine the volume of air those jets suck in
Oh gosh the 747-300s engines really scare me it seems like they're are connected to the wing so lightly😑
Sorry I ment 747-400
TAKEOFF AT 4:30!!!!
Rolls-Royce engines are very noisy compared to other aircraft engines.
I been on a United 777-200ER and it has the P&W which stands for Pratt & Whitney engines and those engines are super loud. But then again it has 90,000 pounds of thrust each, I don't how much these engines have. It depends how powerful they are of course!
G-Man So Fly The Rolls-Royce engines on the Airbus 380 must be very powerful and are much quieter than the Boeing 747 engines.
FLY ALWAYS BRITISH AIRWAYS WITH ROLlS ROYCE.
Too bad the engine startup was edited out.
6:30 Doesn't it sound like electricity in a fish's nervous system

Tho one is for Michelle and all that are sending her the next videos too. It goes against my religion so u know now and then religion man made but it's the only word I can use for thouse that killed u wasent
sorry to shout but THUNDERSTORMS AREN'T GORGEOUS THERE TERREFIENG!!!
they are not terrifying anymore
don't like noisy, droning, buzzing engines!
