I LOVE MY DOBERMAN! I owe him my life. (Twice!) You know, a funny and amazing thing that he does is “boop” me gently on the nose at night to check on me when I’m having nightmares. He somehow knows! It must be my breathing or something… idk. Whatever alerts my dog to the fact I’m having a nightmare does not wake my husband, so I don’t know how he knows… but he knows! Every time he does it, I thank him, then we both happily go back to sleep. He’s just amazing. He’s my personal trainer, therapist, alarm system, bodyguard, co pilot, shopping escort/buddy, and best friend. 😊

When I was just 9 years old my uncle gave me the very best life gift , a Black and Tan beautiful Doberman puppy. My life changed , the sense of responsibility is so important to a child or anyone. We showed him in the dog show circuit having won’t best of show more times than I can remember made me so proud.
Now on my 5th Doberman , Gods gift “Sebastian “ a Direct son of Lex Luthor.
We live on the beach in Punta Cana.. we run and swim every day at 6am when he wakes me up. He has a build in clock that never fail …lol up to the minute. Tourists stop me every day to take pictures etc… Doberman owners you can spot a mile away they just can’t help themselves full of love for the breed.

Daytona Beach, Spring Break 1972. A cold nose startled me while sunning on the beach. This poor dog was lost and in distress and asking for my help. We spent the better part of the day searching for her humans. She was so happy when we found them. “What kind of dog?” I asked. Doberman Pinscher was the reply. I adopted my first Dobie in 1980 and have had at least two ever since. Why and how she picked me on a crowded beach is still a mystery.
Besides I couldn’t afford to live in Hawaii or drive a Ferrari, so I adopted Dobies and a Tom Sellick moustache.
Love your channel, I have many Dobie stories to share. Warm Regards, Rob Levesque and Rocky

We are on our third dobi, and all I can say is there is no breed that is as in tune with their owners emotions as Dobermans are. Our current Doberman (Cooper) is very bonded to me (he loves his dad and kids too…but not in the same way). I agree that there is no way to describe the love you get and the love you feel for these dogs. My husband knows if it comes down between him and Cooper…the odds of Cooper being the last “man” standing is high.

I was lucky to have my first Doberman when he was only 3 weeks old. His mother didn't have enough milk to take care of him. That is him playing with the Chichi in the picture. I lost him of cancer on 9/11/15. He was the best dog ever. I have had Doberman's since. My male and female had two sets of nine puppies and most of them have been service dogs. My mom has one that is her service dog and one of mine is a diabetic service dog for me. She lets me know when my sugars are high and low. She has saved my life more times than I can count. She has never been to school for it which I find amazing. She never leaves my side. Love your channel and the breed.

Your videos are great; I appreciate your passion for the breed.
I’ve wanted a Doberman for 15+ years, but each time I was in a position to get one, another random-breed rescue (St.Bernard mix, Alaskan Malamute, Border Collie mix) took its place, each one becoming the best dog I’d had. We lost both our Malamute as well as our Border Collie within the last year, so perhaps it’s finally time!
I’ve had family & neighbors with Dobermans and have always been attracted to them; it’s great to see the positive representation you give them!

I've been dealing with depression and anxiety since I can remember. The past 2 years have been very rough. A very close friend swore to me a Doberman would be the best dog for me after my psychiatrist suggested to get a dog. I don't live in the USA and here dobermans are considered evil, but I didn't care. It was a long way to get my girl, but I finally have her and I can't help but smile while watching this video because everything is so true. I've had dogs before, but none like her. She's 4 months old, didn't have her since a baby, but thanks to your videos I've been able to teach her to sit, to shake, high five, down and wait. She is teaching me patience and a love I didn't feel was on me anymore. No more staying in bed depressed all day, because I have her now.

My wife passed away awhile back and I gave up on caring whether I was here or not. I had had a dobie in the past and wanted that bond again along with the companionship. I looked around for a good while, before I found a puppy. That was six years ago.He gave me a reason to keep going. There were times I got aggravated, but I wouldn't give him up for anything.

Please don't send him to the pound. They are a great breed and just need a little patience and it will pay you greatly. Good luck and God bless.

24 hr. shifts sometimes more as a fire medic. Wife had a stocker harassing her. He knew when I worked. Got two Euro Dobys. Fed them from two days old. Mom got sick and stopped feeding them. Every two hours feeding them with eye dropper. Both died in my arms with Lady Raptor Sarah at age 10, Sir Raptor James age12. Nothing has hurt more. Love your Channel!

Especially the comments on the cropped ears and tail. As European citizens we were a bit afraid we get negative comments about that. We had to import from another European country to get this cropped look. But the strange part, we get 99% compliments about it. And indeed the comments: "aaah we used to own a Dobermann" etc.
Our first doby, after owning lots of other breeds. This is something special. How they interact with children or strangers. Very very dependable dog. Love him

John, I think you perfectly summed up my feelings towards our Dobie. Even though Rusty is only 15 weeks (had him since 7) he is sincerely the best dog we have ever owned. We've waited for him for almost 7 years due to the timing of life, but he is worth the wait and your channel and website has helped significantly in both our expectations and understanding of how to be top-notch owners. Thank you for your guides and resources - it has been very encouraging. :)

My dobermans improved my life by every side and especially by the safety, physical and mental health. Now I wake up at 6-00 am (British time)(to go on walk with my dobermans) ,stay energetic and fresh and can stay up for 6 am to 1:30 Pm ( British time ). Don't fear of self defense from bullies. And I also win in dog shows (because I have British kennel club registered champion line dobermans - please don't contact me I don't sell and I live in England so it's also not possible for you to come ). My first 3 European dobermans won 23 dog shows continuously ,other 2 European dobermans both won 5 dog shows, 1 American doberman won a dog show I still have not put other 4 American dobermans in dog show but they will just take a little bit late( their training isn't completed).I wouldn't put the other 5 American mix European cross dobermans. (sorry to add the comment lately but I did watch 16 hours ago but busy add the comment )
    Thank You,
    For reading it.

Got our first dobi 5 months ago. (after watching I think ALL of your videos for months beforehand! LOL) BEST. DECISION. EVER. I expected SO many things with our European dobi (she is now 7 months old) but I NEVER expected her to be as affectionate as she is or as friendly & sweet to strangers on walks. She is automatically gentle with little kids. I also cannot believe how quickly you can train them. Like you said in one of your videos, they basically train themselves. Another unexpected thing is that she does NOT bark. She WHINES. LOL She has different pitches for different issues apparently. She is just all around amazing and easy compared to other big dogs I've had and the best night time bed snuggler between hubs and I. :) LOVE her and love how much she has made my life richer! I recommend everyone get one! haha

I grew up with 9 dogs. 4 Dobermans, 4 staffies, and a great Dane mixed breed that was our neighbors who had passed away. My mother always said I owe my life to the Doberman. When I was 3 or 4 I fell into a septic tank. We had alot of land n it was one of those old ones with the square cement lids. It had a crack n being a child I jumped on it and it broke. I don't actually remember much myself but what I know is that 2 of our Dobermans had actually pulled me out while a 3rd ran to get my mother. So as she told it our dobe sarge acted like lassie so she followed him and came up on all the dogs circling me barking and she watched one dog on each arm pulling me out. All of the dogs were stressed but the Dobermans had the intelligence to act. They are truly a very special breed. 💗 I always plan on adopting one myself but I continue to come across akitas scheduled for euthanasia.
