- Hi guys, there are some people who say intake install is just for chuuchuu noises, I definitely disagree. Not only does it add life to my car; I felt more power instantly (along with my intercooler + stage 1); if you want to get the most out of your tune. I recommend upgrading your intercooler and intake (makes a whole world of difference).

anyreason why you went with CTS Intake and not IE intake? since you already running on IE stage 1
No good reason other than it was on sale. :)
Quick heads up on this intake.. Keep checking it regularly.. A lot of times the filter just falls on the side.. The coupler / heat shield is not designed properly.
My recommendation would be to use a different filter or run no heat shield.

@@bunnyboosted6530 no worries I went with afe power filter with cts turbo intake pipe and made the hole bigger on the heat shield.. Now it's good
Yep repeatedly had this problem on my B9 S5. You could tell when the turbo spool sounded louder than normal. Going with a different intake on my RS5, but other than that, it was a decent intake.
I wonder how it sounds without the intercooler and stage 1??

Did you put a mic near the intake or is it that loud inside?
There was no external mic. The sun roof was cracked open a little so you can hear it from the outside ! Still very loud

Were you tuned with this intake ? Or any other mods ?? I want mine to sound like this but can’t tune cuz i have a warranty still
Yes I was stage 1. Check with Audi Make sure they don’t void your warranty over intake because they might if something goes wrong. Or just swap it out before you go to dealer.
Hey, i know you haven’t had problems with it falling off by randomly after about a couple weeks mine fell off when I checked on the hood and I put double sided tape on the inside of the filter itself before installing it again and tightening the clamps again. I’ve also heard people get new clamps that are heavy duty. I will see how it holds up now and check on it whenever I drive. Hopefully it doesn’t slip off. How often do you tighten the clamps?
After I had my mechanic tighten it my original clamps that came with the package it never fell off again. Make sure it’s fully seeded then tighten the clamps very hard, hard as you can. It shouldn’t fall off after that. Cause the vibration can loosen the clamp causing it to turn.
@@bunnyboosted6530 I’m gonna get one this week do you think it falling of is a big enough issue for me to buy a differnt one…… or do you think if I tell the mechanic installing it to ensure it’s tight I will be fine?

No issues just tighten and you’ll be fine 😃

I know that any tunes you do or upgrading something that causes the stock part to break will void the warranty plan. Thanks for watching :D
So a year on, do you still recommend this? I just bought my b9 and am curious if you have issues of it always falling off or anything else?
Just tighten it. No more problems for me. Never fell off.

Hmm when I bought the CTS it was on sale that’s pretty much the reason why. It is preference. It hasn’t given me any issues and worked just fine. Some people would prefer a nicer brand like APR or something but that’s out of my price range.
Ofcourse it's loud, is an open box, i just cut a hole on my stock airbox same results less heat k&n filter tho

You just have to tighten it really well. Mine stopped falling off. If you can get that shield to stabilize and not shake as much, it won’t fall from the vibration of the car.
