A lot of people think that this show is too dark and gritty for children , I don’t agree with this , I was introduced to this story at a young age and have no regrets , it’s a great representation of how life sucks but still has good times not to mention it’s unique compared to the usual happy ending shows and films that we always get now a days The world is quiet here, volunteers.
I learned from this book more than anything anyone ever told me in my life: that life isn't found in its most joyful moments, but in the moments where everything you have ever loved is bound only by a string, threatening to tear at any moment... that darkness is the greatest revealer of hope, life, and the future. It made me learn to not fear the darkness in life, but understand it as a necessity for its function. Thank you Lemony Snicket for the story, because just for a few weeks, I was a Baudelaire orphan, and I felt closer to a real family than I had ever felt before in my life. Thank you for this masterpiece, it has really saved my life.
I liked the series ending because it shows a lot more of how it’s a bittersweet ending looking at all of them and not just the main 3 it’s realistic because it was so 50/50 but I like how the book was just a bittersweet ending for the kids we don’t know fully who died we’re not supposed to just assume they all died we don’t know realistically because the kids don’t see them again it’s just kinda how life is sometimes those questions don’t get answered
I think most people don’t like it because they might feel exposed as ignorant like Mr Poe. It gives them that feeling that they can’t be proven wrong. So when this came out and they saw themselves in the antagonists, they didn’t want to believe it. Or that’s what I think.
Hah I watched it like 12 times and each times and each time brothers said to stop cause it's weird, also I didn't cry, like, how do you cry while watching a movie or something,I never understood that,
I started watching these series because it was almost similar to harry potter, but this story deserves to be famous like harry potter , I learned the word orphan from here and many others. Theres a very intresting back story. Even my older sister likes it, we watched it together. The story is super wonderful though sad, if it would be possible who thinks there will be season 4? I do 😅 where we can know more about their younger sister, beatrice bauldelaire
Technically Beatrice Baudelaire The Second (Beatrice Baudelaire is their mom) wouldn't be their sister due to no blood relation (Dewey and Kit Snicket's child) nor in the adoptive sense because their mom didn't adopt her (Very fiery destruction ya know). Beatrice Baudelaire The Second is closest to a daughter to the Baudelaire Orphans, which is a device of the story to represent an end to a pattern. Many people, noble and not (Baudelaires, Olaf, Beatrice 2nd, Snowscouts including Carmelita, and so on), lost their parents because of VFD leaving them orphaned. But the Baudelaires took on the metaphorical torch of parenthood so that Kit's child can live a happy life with parents.
Yeah, the intro even says 'Look away look away' As they are trying to say that there will be deaths and unexpected adventures, which makes these series SUPER intresting
If you try to forget that ASOUE is just fiction, what you are seeing is just lies, then the story gets depressing and that's how it was meant to be, but unfortunately I was too scared to do just that, to feel that.
I still think after so many years that we deserve a side story about what happened to the Baudelaires and the Quagmires after when they grow up and get their parents' fortunes
Some kids like video games and other write stories And as one of those kids( I do actually like video games tho) this is the some of the stuff we write And some times people look at us and wonder why, or call us losers which we are not we write the stories that make some kids ideas
I loved that series, tbh I read it at a very young age, probably before I was supposed to. I was reading it when I was… I think i was 7 or 8 at the time.
The Mandela effect is when you remember something different than how it actually happened. I remember this scene but swear I remember count Olaf gently singing look away at the end.
I see a lot of people commenting on how accurate this series is to real life, and I honestly disagree. Sure life sucks, bit this was more of a dark take on life rather than a true representation of it. Life sucks, just not THAT much. The point (in my opinion at least) wasn't the fact that life always sucks, but rather that when life DOES suck, which in the Baudelaire's case was a lot, it's important to keep going, and that there's no point in breaking into tears when there's more important things to do. But that's just my opinion. Suck counter: 4
Honestly count olof and fernald were right there are no truly decent and nobel pepole every one is capebel of anything no one person is truly what we call good or bad if anything those who call someone good or bad are the bad ones cause you never are really aware of what someone is capable of doing
My favorite quote:
"If we wait until we are ready, we will be waiting for the rest of our lives"
I’ve applied this lesson to my own life
Same , I'm looking for an opportunity to use it tbh
Mine is probably “Time flies, like a winged lizard”

asuoe is the kind of series where you want more, but it doesnt need more books/episodes cause its already so good and sorta reached a perfect end
You can try All The Wrong Questions if you like ASOUE, it's about Lemony and some events way before ASOUE, and before the Schism.
