Thanks for asking. I had some little qualms related to screen switching on DS and getting my save files to work on GBA. Luckily I got the save files to work after spending several hours just copying and pasting them into different folders. The DS screen swap works now but tbh it's not a device that I would recommend playing DS on, with just the 1 screen. Overall though I am happy with how the OS works. Now using Knulli.
@@mohrasher both. Setting up everything just the way you want it and making it look nice is part of the fun. Also having just gotten my 35xxh (like literally just unboxed it) the first experience with the OS doesn't feel as clean as a nice custom firmware. In fact it reminds me a lot of the stock experience on the original 35xx.
@@PS3ClassicGamesHD most cfw is superior in functionality as well though. Like I couldn't live without garlic on my 35xx. The way you can just turn it off whenever and it auto saves and instantly picks up where you left it. (And it actually powers down so you can leave it for days) That's nice creature comforts this stock os doesn't have. I'll probably install batocera on this though and then mostly use it for n64 and dreamcast since I already have the 35xx for ps1 and below (and a 405m for some ps2 and gamecube)
Love the videos man, ive got a question for ya. When it comes to games with multiple discs i notice after you scrape it shows in the games list as the same game twice even though i imagine its just disc 1 and 2, is there any way to fix this within betocera short of making m3u files or batching the disks together with psx2psp both of witch i dont really want to do unless i have to haha. also alot of common games didnt get scraped successfully, does it scrape based on file name? Ifso maybe i will need to take out the numbers before the game title in the file names as i had them numbered 1-100 or so to have them in a certain order but i will gladly take that out if it scrapes all of my games successfully lol just weird because some numbered ones got all info and some didn't
Thanks for watching. Yeah I have the same frustrations. I like to have a neat games library and it annoys me that some games are shown per disc. Some are even showing as multiple listings despite only 1 disc. I don't personally know a way around it but hopefully someone on here can help. Cheers
@IriFoxDan thank you for the reply! Well good to know it's not just me haha, I will accept that for the time being but I need to figure out why some of my very common roms aren't getting any info from screen scraper, I've heard it goes off of checksum or hash for identifying roms and not file name so I'm not sure what my issue is! Haha
Hi, I have a question, maybe you can help me, I installed the batocera v40 for my device (rg355xxh), everything works and I put the art book theme like you. For some reason, when I scroll through the menu at the bottom of the screen, I have the buttons that explain what each button does, but in your video it was not there, do you maybe know how to cancel it so that it shows this, since I want it to look like yours, it looks more aesthetic, in any case, a good video, I liked it very much Thank you👍🏻
@@amarramoul4027 H and RG35XX+ are literally the same thing but H uses the horizontal form factor. H is much more comfortable to use tbh. This one in the video is very cramped.
Thanks for watching. I will echo what the others have said below, have a look at the H model. I personally chose the one in the video as I specifically wanted a vertical handheld but if you are only getting one device, the H is a better all rounder.
Boot time on this device is abysmal no matter how you slice it, and the only system it seems to work flawless with is gba. Try running Mickey's Racing Adventure on it the very second you are in game past the intro and cut scenes pluto will start to guide you toward your first objective. You can see his sprite constantly losing pixels as he travels. I do this test on every system as even on PC this game does not emulate well.
Hard to beat onion/garlic when it comes to stuff like boot times and auto saving and everything. Like just turn it on or off whenever you want and it'll just continue where you left of in seconds. (And it actually turns off without draining battery) From what I understand garlic 2.0 works on this now but it's still lacking a lot of features.
How’s your experience with it now Fox? As of October 2024

Im a fan of the latest stock tbh. It just works. I have tried all other CFW and they all have major issues at the moment
It looks so ugly though
Functionality over visuals👍
@@zwenkwiel816 You gonna be playing games on it or spend your time looking at the UI?

muOS is the solution if you want a minimalist look with faster boot times. Once they release 64bit muOS I'll move from crapocera.
How’s your experience with it now as of October?
