      they have nothing in common with georgian winemaking traditions. there was no plastic 8000years ago when georgians were making wine. Clay kvevri to be used, as well as proper fermentation process…

    Is it lame, deer, ostrich whatever because you doing some super size stuff that I would never do but I enjoy watching it. Also you don’t only one drink wine, so I’m loving that because when I cook, I’m drinking wine from Detroit Michigan, and I am a African-American woman. Just to let you know.

      I make wine too. I use brewer's yeast. Kveik is much better, because it works on hi temperature. Or you can try US-05 that is very neutral.

      There is natural yeast present in grapes skin and in the air. How did you think ppl made wine in ancient times they didnt add yeast they let nature do its job. Unpasteurized grape juice will eventually turn into wine how did you think wine was discovered it was by accident. 10,000 years ago in Georgia ppl used to store grape juice under ground and when they came back to drink it was wine.

    • @solrac7986

      I know you are right, but they used to save grapes in clay barrel to eat later when all grapes on the harvest were gone. So when they ate all grapes, at the bottom of the clay barrel there were a liquid from the grapes. They drank and liked. And then they start to make juice from grapes making wine. @@mariarahim651

    I have some questions if you like to answer, these questions will help everyone
    1. If we can skip egg?
    2. Can be use dry yeast instead?
    3. What is the alcohol content in 21 days?
    4. will the alcohol content increase with increasing days like 5 months or more?

    • @BryanFazekas
      @BryanFazekas 7 месяцев назад

      1. Egg whites are used as a fining agent (makes the wine clear), especially in wines that are high in tannin. But they are not necessary.
      2. Any yeast can be used, although a yeast specific for wine making produces a better result. I use dry yeast that I rehydrate prior to inoculating a batch.
      3 & 4. The ABV (alcohol by volume) depends on the amount of sugar in the grapes. Yeast eats sugar and emits alcohol and CO2. Once the yeast runs out of sugar to eat, the production of alcohol stops.
