NASCAR really lost out when Carl Edwards called it quits! I would take him not only as a driver but a sportsman and a personality over every one of them out there today
4:04 Is that general admission lawn seating or is that a hill out of bounds off ISM property that they just got clever and decided to watch the race from?
Yes, it's raceway property and is general admission hillside seating (bring your own chair, of course). While watching the race, you can also watch the VIP's land/take off from the adjacent helipad.🍺
NASCAR Diecast Hub Umm, No. My question was one of general curiosity. I, in no way implied/suggested I disagree with cars touching or safe aggressive driving/drivers, nor did I even complain about it. I'm sorry your crush on Edwards and lack of reading comprehension led you to believe I did. Since you brought it up; I have problem with cars making general contact throughout the race. Seeing a group of cars going 115mph+, inches from each other is what makes the sport exciting to watch. But trying to crash/take out another driver, aside from being unsafe, is a cheap, honor-less, coward move. I do see how anyone can say it's not a chick-sh*t cowards way of winning; again, it's one thing for cars to bump while grouped together, it's a natural part of circumstances, but it's another thing to intentionally slam the side of your car into another, when it's a one on one race to the finish, in attempt to slow that driver down in order to win. It's like tripping another runner in a sprint. I just don't see how any driver can look himself in the mirror and call himself a winner, knowing that he didn't have the faster car and had to take some else out in order to win. It's about having the best mechanics to make the car, pit crew to make changes, crew chief to manage it all, and driver to push/control the car to it's full potential. If your team has the second fastest car during the last lap, it's a coward, cry baby move to go beyond bumping doors to slow the other car down. Again, there's nothing wrong with cars touching, only natural when you have that many cars going that fast around a "small" area (sh*t happens); but making it intentional in order to win is cowardly and borders cheating (regardless of what the rules are/aren't. It's pretty clear it's an unspoken rule and gentleman's understanding.) And yes, as a fan of motorsports, I fully enjoy F1 and Indy, but I respect the rules and aspects of each sport independently. I like both American Football and Soccer, but I don't complain about rules of one sport being/not being enforced in the other.
1:37 That's what we were all thinking... And what's with Biffle irrelevantly bitching every week? Least when Kyle does it, he's actually a factor in the race.
He used to be a pretty dang good driver, but ever since 2010 onward, he's gotten MUCH worse in performance. Half because of NASCAR's bullcrap rules and changes, and because of these drivers who are overall better.
+chevyPIKMIN181 I'd say since 2013. matt left, and carl leaving, and replacing them with Ricky and Bayne certainly doesn't help. but the biggest reason in my opinion, was after the 2014 season, Jack Ross's most reliable crew chief, and one of the best ever, Jimmy Fennig decided to retire. Those last few years with him atop the pit box, roush racing would have looked nearly as bad as they do now, if not for him
Saddest thing is: PIR is the only track I live near. And since Kevin dominates there, it's always such a huge disappointment when he wins. I go there, get all sunburnt, spend $20+ on food/drink and I can predict who the winner is gonna be.
in my opinion, you still have one of the most underappreciated racetracks. Harvick may win there a lot but the track has always provided great racing. And along with Darlington, the only tracks that didn't kill the racing when they repave it
+chevyPIKMIN181 Only track near me is New Hampshire, nowadays I only go to the september race because the july race sucks with the high temperatures and uncomfortably high New England humidity. Been going there since 2004.
TheKfactr "makes no sense"; we do on road courses; rain tires windshield wipers and lights in the rear window, on ovals would be stupid. You can't go 200+ mph in the rain, on top of that the rain makes it almost impossible to see when it's coming up from the tires and would be impossible to race on tracks like martinsville Bristol etc. also NASCAR is a contact sport unlike F1, F1 drivers aren't allowed to even touch each other (which makes for horrible racing) stock cars wouldn't be able to stay in control and the racing would be boring on ovals. Never gonna happen outside road courses
Ken Davenport and I bet you're the same kind of pansy ass who watches some BS racing like formula one 😂 if you knew a thing or two about NASCAR you'd know we race on ovals, road courses, and dirt. Oh wait you're not smart you wouldn't know whoops
Love that Edwards goes over to Harvick after the race and congratulates him. Class act.
That was my favorite part too. Good sports
it was a good final run and very classy of Edwards
Frank O'Connor they were both so nice to each other
Edwards is a pretty classy guy in general
commander JS he wasnt always. Remember him turning keselowski twice after dega?
Glad to see Carl and Kevin being able to do a little rubbin' and still be friends at the end. That's how nascar should be.
+Ryan Leonard Reminds me of Craven and Kurt Busch in 2003 at Darlington coming to the checkers.
+Adam Moreira ah man yeah i forgot about that one
Ryan Leonard Yeah. Then you got guys like Kyle Busch who are just total jerkoffs.
Ryan Leonard yybgyu
my name is also Ryan, Ryan!
The crowd when everyone gets the lead: *crowd went cricket mode*
The crowd when Dale Jr. gets the lead: *CROWD WENT LOUD AND CRAZY!*
Carl Edwards is a good guy. Nice to see him being polite to another driver.
That's more like it... shaking hands after some banging and getting beat to the line.
Man.. much respect for Edwards.
That what I said why I like Edwards, very professional and a gentleman
Good job Carl
Edwards is so chill. I was so sad he retired after this season.
Brian Scott is this years Trevor Bayne
Baynes getting better this year
NASCAR really lost out when Carl Edwards called it quits! I would take him not only as a driver but a sportsman and a personality over every one of them out there today
5:00 There they go, bumping each other through turns 3 and 4 and it is... !
That's what I call fighting for the lead!
Lol Allmendinger has that vibration every week
Idk why you had no fucking brakes
Greg Biffle Mr no brakes cough cough
Carl Edwards a good sport
2 weeks ago I didn't have brakes either. Went to the mechanic and 5 hours later. I did.
psychobeam99 if you don't mind getting your hands dirty it's a 2 hour job MAX

Jr's commentary is funny lol
This is why Carl Edwards will always be a favorite!
Man why is Carl Edwards just the nicest guy ever
Best one so far
I thought banging into another car, such as what Edwards was doing on that final straight coming to the checkered, isn't allowed?
***** on top of changing every week, they also choose to enforce and not enforced said rules randomly as well as driver specific haha
i love the logical fans who cry foul about it one week, than celebrate the next haha
Pidgeot who said anything about crying foul?
Your Life Is A Great Story you've been watching too much pansy ass F1 😂

Yeah bowyer is today's Nickleback of NASCAR
Complete joke
+x8675309858x Please don't bring Nickelback in to this. Racing blows!
+Ken Davenport guess you don't get the joke
tfw Bowyer is a back marker. I knew HScott would be a step down but holy crap he's a complete non-factor
He had a loose wheel on lap 2.

Same with me, except at Texas and Johnson always wins

Why Does NASCAR not race in the rain when f1 races in the rain and it's open wheel it make no sense
They can, on road courses. And on an oval it would be boring to watch, they'd go no more than 60mph and a caution literally every lap.
and plus F1 drivers aren't as aggressive as NASCAR.
yeah f1 drivers cant be as aggressive as nascar drivers cause if they were they be fined lol
TheKfactr "makes no sense"; we do on road courses; rain tires windshield wipers and lights in the rear window, on ovals would be stupid. F1 rules are stupid, you can't even block people, you have to let them pass
100th comment lol
Watching cars go in 300 circles. Blah!
+Ken Davenport Can you believe we're forced to watch ths? Oh wait, we're not.... Quit being a little whiny brat and go watch tennis or something.
Ken Davenport and I bet you're the same kind of pansy ass who watches some BS racing like formula one 😂 if you knew a thing or two about NASCAR you'd know we race on ovals, road courses, and dirt. Oh wait you're not smart you wouldn't know whoops
Ken Davenport technically they are more elliptical than circular
