Has there ever been a time in history that the Earth wasn't terrifying?

I’d take my chances on the surface. I’d live on a small island to distance myself from the predators and grow plants for food as well as leave the island from time to time to hunt with spears.

It took me a while to understand the title of the video. You should have written it down like this: "The Only Era When Water Was Safer Than Land" so everybody would have understood what you were talking about.

We have 3 "superpowers" compared to other animals.
1 our endurance, humans can run for days with enough training.
      2. Our hands, we can use our hands to remove pests from our body, we can also throw stuff further and more accurately than any other animal. Then, tool making of course.
      3. Intelligence is used for fire, tool making, and planning the future. It's important to note our hands bring out the full potential of our Intelligence. Without them, we wouldn't be able to build stuff so effectively.

Hello Insane Curiosity! Thank you so much for your videos. Question about something you said. When talking about the predators of the Permian, you say that they are not the ancestors of the cats, but of mammals. What does that mean, given that cats are mammals? Again, thanks for the videos. I always learn something.

"THE science" now refers to creating and accepting research only supporting a predetermined conclusion (the one placing the most money in investors bank accounts or in support of a given narrative) with any and all research refuting such findings immediately losing all funding and accreditation.

Absolutely. It's insane we think we know what was happening 300 million years ago when we can even agree on stuff that's happening right now. In 100 years most of the "science" of today will be seen as old timey quackery

    • @filiperosa7496

I think that is more complex than that, I don't know this field but that's not how science works. Yes, this can happen but there is no rule for anything that too many people are involved.
We can know the truth and companies can still lies anyway, depends on the field and the type of research.
Philosophy is not the same that Biology or Economy for example.
I understand the pessimistic view of science but we can know something as facts, we know for almost consensus fact that scientific the earth is round, a lot about gravity and we theorize a lot of things that can be tested but almost impossible to be 100% sure.
We also can go the rout of doubting everything and only knowing for sure the we exist.

@@filiperosa7496I would most certainly agree with you on this; however, one must seriously consider the integrity of science in this present day and age. The fact that such things are happening IS unacceptable.
We are particularly in an age where ideas are turned into unproven hypotheses, which are then modelled into theories, and become popularized before any sort of evidence comes forth. The best example I can give of this would be the catastrophic failure of String Theory, which then went on to be amended every time an experiment had disproven it, up until the point where it is now fading into obscurity.
Another thing we have to consider is Scientific fraud and questionable research practices which are currently plaguing science. Fraud in research is quite easily snuffed out, but questionable research practices should be considered significantly more dangerous as they often fly under the radar. Is it any wonder why evolutionary biology and ecology suffer from extremely high rates of misconduct? (Upwards of 40%) In this particular domain, presuppositions rule to the point where it can even hold an entire research area, such as when research into Junk DNA has been stopped due to presuppositions from biologists. You also have the issue of funding, the investors' interests, cryptic scientific literature, excluding important data, questionably amending results to match presuppositions and 'hacking' to producing significant results.
My darling is in her last year of achieving a PhD in developmental biology and I hail from the side of Physics, pretty much polar opposite research fields. We are able to discuss this issue in depth with one another, and there is actually a good amount of studies into these issues. Needless to say, all of these are completely unacceptable and there needs to be something pushing against it.

1:17 I hate when otherwise interesting and useful videos state as fact, a total hypothesis that has no way humans could verify this about the nature of the Earth spin in the past
It says valid as someone saying that they are religious books is how the universe and earth was formed. A statement that has no basis in evidence.
