      Josh Thompson you are 100% correct. Speed and revs don't work, Brains and Tire pressure do work as he well displayed all be it with a little bit of flair. When will some of these learn to gain a good contact patch between tire and ground, FFS drag racers use this too for traction. Just my thoughts John, Australia.

      more like he was worried it wouldn't make it going forwards so reversed up. most 4wds go better in reverse on sand which is a good thing, if you get bogged going forwards you can always reverse out. unless you're a muppet that spins the wheels until it's buried to the frame lol.

    The reason you don't see most not dropping their tyre pressures is because they don't have a compressor to air back up again.....spend $60K on a car and scrimp on basic recovery gear.....I think it comes down to either inbreeding creating a dumber species of non-self reliant or the "Age of entitlement" mentality that someone else will solve my problem.

    That Prado's should run up there as if it's a hard road. Deflate the tyres properly and all will go smooth.

  • @CalaisRider
    @CalaisRider 4 года назад

    I can never understand why people run near normal tyre pressures. Sure, running 10-15psi will eventually separate the tyre carcase and tread, but if only on the beach it saves a lot of hassle (I always felt the safety was worth the risk). I've had a few tyres separate and bubble, but to my mind that's what spare tyres are for. Low pressures are at minimum 100-200% better at preventing bogging on soft sand. The second biggie is to drive like a hoon on the tricky stuff as "momentum" is your friend. Low range is useless.

      @SaltyBrains Exactly. See so many people that think power is the answer on sand when it's actually the problem. At least they are a constant source of amusement.

    Sorry I can be wrong here but not the tyre, suspension or anything on it looks to be suited for this terrain.

    I'll admit I don't do much 4wding,but there's got to be some common sense surely. Get that tyre pressure down, in that softer stuff low range, know your 4wd and know how to properly turn of traction control just for starters.
