Straddle the first hole and keep to the right on the second hole. Interesting to see how different drivers approach the obstacle, some red line their vehicles and others idle through, great video though👍
We wanted to try your beaches and especially Fraser Island in our 4x4 converted 2005 "Sprinter" Van. Unfortunately Covid stopped our journey before it began. We were lucky that the vehicle was not already shipped before lockdown. Exploring eastern europe now and looking forward to Australia in the next years, hoping Covid 19 restrictions will disappear by time...
Planning a Fraser trip this year once the borders open up. Got snatch kit, recovery points, recovery tracks, deflator and compressor. Had some fun on the Coffs Coast down on the beach and up in the mountains and I'm ready to try out Fraser. Might see you up there, look out for the Green Triton recovering everybody hahaha
Mate tip for you. Use LOW range in this stuff. Much easier on you, your vehicle and the track. If you're towing again in/on all soft sand crossing use LOW range. Just trying to help you out as you seem new by your comment.
@@coreydark8795 I'm pretty new but I know when to use low range, most of these soft sandy bits would be low 2nd gear but gauge it as it comes. Too many people go balls out with high pressures and wonder why they get stuck 😂🙃

That P plater in the Pathy is the bloke who recovers most of the total strangers out there. He knows what he's doing, and sometimes just likes to show up for the camera.
Jackeroos are a good car, I had 2 and they go anywhere. I'm heading there next week in my Subi so will see how many holes there are for me to have fun with :)
Don't the newer rigs (less than 10-15 years old) come with traction control in Australia? While it is never as good as locking differentials, my experience is that it would have been good enough to get through at 7:52, 12:59, 20:19, etc.
My car doesn't have traction control, though I think people that do, turn it off for soft sand driving. Which is most of the island. Probably that little part of the island could use some traction control.
I have watched several similar videos from the same location and it is quite interesting how the sand conditions change. People who were making it with relative easy in this video would not have gotten the first thirty yards after the mud in some of the others.
The defender wins for doing it with the least effort, the jackaroo did well too on the second attempt and the pathfinder shows it’s all about the skill and not the gear as always.
Do you mean the green one with P plates that probably had more ground clearance and bigger tyres than most of the rest of them? Couple of the late model utes did really well with little to no wheelspin and the Defender as you said, hardly surprising given they are one of the most capable 4wd's going around. Pajero made it look really easy as well and looked to be stock.
If you actually watch these vids often you'll know Jesse, (Pathfinder) knows how to use his rig very well. He's the go to guy for recoveries at Inskip and that beast is very hard to stop. He's just playing, coz he can.
I would b interested in knowing, wot he has under the hood, as it seems to hv endless power, & there is no way, that it is a standard Nissan Pathfinder lol 😂😂🤣
Hi, just a quick question for the Australian guys. In South Africa all our bakkies/ "utility pick ups" come out factory fitted with rear lockers but seems like non or your vehicles have this or what, cont be that everyone don't know how to use it....
Most utes from about 2015 plus have a standard rear diff lock in top trim packages but won’t in the lowest trim package but I’m guessing most of these smooth brains just don’t know how to use them, especially prado and 200 series drivers.
It amazes me how many people do this on road tires.. They are good for sand but when its wet like this you may as well be on slicks.. 😅 Then you get the guys, (Normaly Patrol P Platers) that go full send at 110% 🤣, and tear up the track even more.. If they picked their line got a bit of momentum their trucks would probably walk through it..😉 Can't wait to try this at the end of August in my lifted, Locked Pajero Sport.😉 Insta / tik tok: @ 4x4_GoneWild

It's had a heavy rain on it, anyone can drive it after rain. The amateurs really show themselves in the dry stuff bit like the young clowns spinning up their wheels in the muddy bit for the camera.
Seriously people put your vehicles into low range. Too many on this video whom are in high range. Soft sand like this you want 4LO. And a few need to lower their tyres even moor. Too much right foot and wheel spin only wrecks the tracks making it harder on everyone else!

That green Patfinder is just eating up the mud and sand . What a beast. 👍💪

Lack of momentum destroys tracks, give it some boot before the climb so you dont spin wheels all the way up
