I cannot tell you, how much I appreciate your work of letting us take part of your walks in this light way. Mostly caused by your B-Roll, drone flights, you pass the camera as if we still stand there (what means you have to act as if you continue going, but hurry back to pick your gear up again and again). It is transmitting a very close feeling of being there too. Amazing job, thanks for your effort!

"Quality Content". You do make me chuckle. I watched it all the same. I don't watch your videos for the photography (which is awesome), I watch them because you're entertaining, interesting, likable, inspiring. It's a great way of spending twenty minutes or so and I look forward to Wednesday evenings. Keep it up and thanks.

These types of video, I.e. no photography, are really as important and interesting as these times you get epic conditions and images. As a hobbyist I heap huge pressure on myself with a once a week close to home photography outing. It can get depressing after a few weeks of no images given these constraints. So thanks for sharing your photography lows and not just the highs.

It's definitely a lesson in making the best of the scene you have rather than lamenting the scene you don't have. When you can practically reach up and touch the clouds, there's definitely possibilities for a great photo. Clouds wrapping over a foothill mountain with mountain goats or sheep in the foreground can make a wonderful environmental portrait that captures a bit of the natural beauty of the UK.

It's the whole package that makes your videos so entertaining and watchable - the camping, the hiking, the cooking, the banter and the great photography - that means they're never a let down even if the weather doesn't play ball. I'm glad you still make the videos regardless. You inspire me to get out with my camera every week and just take what comes. Thanks Thomas

One thing I like about your videos is you are very honest about your experience. This is helpful for me in particular as I struggle through my landscape photography efforts, where having the mountain I’m trying to shoot from get socked in with clouds is almost an expectation! It’s relieving to know it happens to everyone.

When you pulled out that folding table and the folding chair - I have more or less the same setup. The table is quite old but still does the job and the chair is pretty sturdy and comfortable. The only thing that was missing for me was the fire pit, but this has changed now. Thanks for putting the link in the description. I will definitely try the tortilla folding trick. So for sure that was quality content. It's not only about photography, it is about all the bits and pieces that make a trip unique, no matter if you get an image or not. Thanks for sharing this.

Your content is engaging because you show both the successes and failures, however, its the journey of these outcomes which is the most enjoyable. The effort you go to, B-Roll, that allows us to be a fly on the wall as it were, is really appreciated. The reason for my comment today though is the way you make your wrap. Never seen that before and as my wife and I have wraps quite often for lunch we will give this method a go. Thanks for the tip. Take Care

Photography, hiking, and cooking. You have turned into a triple threat channel. Living in the Pacific Northwest of the USA, near Mt. Rainier, I know how fast weather can change in the mountains. Forecasts aren't always correct either. It is no fun getting caught in the rain when you aren't prepared.

I find it amazing that where you live and work, you're able to car park camp, so to speak, without any trouble at all. In a highly populated country to boot. Here in the USA I can't stand campgrounds. Too close to the neighbors, high cost. Have to reserve well in advance. It's just a chore and a half. Thanks for your vids Thomas. The food looks great, too.

Been up old man of coniston twice before, on both occasions we were clouded out and had rain. We used the old miners track which takes you past the old/remains of the mines up to a lake, and then on up to the summit. First time up we had a really heavy rain storm before setting off and sat in the car waiting for the worst to pass, which it did, then on the way up we were treated to a ‘rainbow wall’ across the valley, and further up I got a lovely pano with broken storm cloud and rainbows with multiple lakes in the pano. A few years later we returned and did it again and it was torrential high wind & rain conditions, but I got some atmospheric B&W’s around the old mining ruins in the rain/mist. Despite the conditions, it was a lovely walk both times, sadly, I still have not seen the view from the top, only cloud both times!

I don't generally go camping for photography specifically, more just because I like camping, but a couple of campsites I can think of where you can just walk out and up into the hills ... the campsite at Glenridding on Ulswater in the Lake District and several campsites in Edale in Derbyshire. I wouldn't go mid season or weekends if you want empty campsites but might be worth a look

I stayed in that campsite and walked the more direct route, was brutally steep but some very interesting leftover ironworks from what I assume was mining a long time ago. We planned to walk along the ridge to the next hill but just like here, the clouds dropped on us and then it started raining so we made a quick exit back to camp! :D
