As a fan of A Bronx Tale and OZ, this is awesome to watch.
This is really cool, you just don't see or hear American Italians anymore. There is a cool nostalgia attached to these old school NY Italians.
Yeah he's a happy go Lucky 🙂
you do in my house :)
Everybody in new york back in the day talked something like this...italian irish jewish et al.
Chazz Palminteri is a legend. This is like the coolest web show on RUclips. Great Italian American.
100% old school here born and raised south side of Chicago...
I love the old school stand up guys. They kept you honest and humble. Plenty of wisdom that can keep you from losing your head. You don’t test an old school stand up guy. Pay your respects and just listen.
Zito has witnessed it all! Pure Legend!
Real talk! My Dad boxed in the 50s. We got him sparring in his 50s with us youngsters. Nailed the big bully right on the button one time. Bully said no more. And we weren't laughing. Skills stay with you forever. Rip Pops
Two G.O.A.T.s having a great conversation. Anyone that takes out Jeane Claude Van Damme is gold.
Why ?
Chuck is one of few celebrities who takes the time to like and even reply to comments on Instagram. He’s a super nice guy, but I wouldn’t wanna get on his bad side 💯💪🏼
We Italian American are going on 4th, 5th or more generations here. I'm 55. I still carry Italian traditions....my nephews and nieces and REALLY my great nephews and nieces....there's no recognizable Italian heritage.
That's ok.
We're in America.
But I cried when the Tarantella wasn't played at my nephew's wedding :)
Chuck is awesome. Loved his work in Oz.
This guy Chuck never ages and C is a legend. both legends actually great stuff.
I think back then the fighter were much tougher and had more endurance than fighter now. Their mindset was that of Gladiators, every fight was survival and pride. I think they were better athletes. God bless Chuck's dad, true fighter !!!!!!
I could listen to Chuck zito talking for 5 hours podcast,man..I hope he'll live healthy for another 30 years
This is my 1st Chazz Palminteri Show of many more. Great show with Chuck. Looking forward to the next show.
Loved Bronx Tale and I'm a Big Hells Angels and Chuck fan
Chuck is one of my idols, never had a drink in my life, wish I could say that, working on it though
Met Chuck for the first time at a Yonkers custom car show. He had an awesome old Mercury.I looked at it from a distance.Didnt want to get too close to it.I wanted to live.🙂
Thank you guys for this great moment. God bless you from France
The one and only CHAZZ PALMINTERI! Awesome!
Chuck Zito was always one of my favorites in Oz. Chazz you were great in so many films. Great podcast!
Had the pleasure of meeting Chuck in White Plains a few years back. Real likable guy. Great interview. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Thanks, Chaz
These 2 great Men together are nothing to F with! Amazing interview. Keep bringing Chuck Z back please 🙏🏽 ❤
Great interview with Chuck and Chazz 😎
Love Chazz ! A true legend
Great 2nd Interview Chazz has with Chuck Ziti!!. The Guy is Awesome and a very Nice Guy!!. I wish I knew where He got the Sweatshirt He was wearing that Sylvester Stallone wore in Rocky IV!!! As someone who is half-Italian I would Love to Get One Myself!!. Another Great Interview by Chazz, and I hope He brings Chuck again for a 3rd Time as well!!😃👍👋🇮🇹
You can get it from the sly Stallone shop just search that I can't post the link here
I can listen all day to chuck great guy
Chuck was wrong about Ezzard Charles’s age, he was only 2 years older than Rocky Marciano, Rocky was born in 1923 and Ezzard was born in 1921
That's ok
@@mariegagliardi9084 Why's it ok?? Accuracy is important!
Ezzard was past his prime tho
@@Boxinggenius6 Ezzard was 32 for the first fight when Marciano was 30 and 33 for the 2nd fight when Rocky was 31, early 30s is a prime age for a boxer
@@Boxinggenius6 and also, just to add, Zito got it completely wrong by how off he was about Ezzard’s age, Ezzard was not an old man even by fighting standards
Love Zito on podcasts. His stories are great
My uncle used take me to all those old 81 movies. Men like Sonny and yes Chuck Zito inspired me to ride motorcycles. Thank you !
Great interview. Classic
Chuck Zito looks great
Awesome interview!!!
Yeah! The Old School Guys!
Chuck is one tough guy.
While working out I watched oz and a Bronx tale this morning talk about a coincidence. These guys are legends
No you didn't
My Dad grew up with Chuck Zito in New Rochelle!
Love Chuck
yes i love and respect chuck zito
Chuck is a legend! Everyone who interacted with him knows what a great person he is! 👍👍💪
True 👍
No he's not
@@garyny4073 We gotta hater here, folks. Chuck has done more in 3 years than you will do your entire life, Gary. I believe that makes him a legend.
@@stefanolorenzo2175 Doesn’t make him a hater because he doesn’t think Chuck’s a “ legend “. Chuck’s whole claim to fame is sucker punching a legless JVD.
@@gilson1982 Seriously. Zito also shamelessly attaches himself to anybody with fame.
#welldone I would love to see you two talk about Rappers and Hip-Hop industry tycoons who were privileged enough to be within your presences and which ones were most memorable....good and bad!!
This Podcast makes my day! Thanks so much
I met Chuck one time and told him he looked like my Grandpa (I’m Italian). He goes, “Yer Grandpa…” sarcastically and takes his fist and fake uppercuts my chin (he made contact with my chin).
Now to me, I was paying him a huge compliment to say he looked like my Grandpa (who’s now passed away), but he thought I was being a wise ass.
He realized I meant what I said and I wasn’t being a disrespectful punk. Just feeling his huge fat fist on my chin was enough for me to know, no way in hell do you want to get an uppercut from Zito. It’s lights out for real.
He’s a good dude, stood and talked with my 2 friends and I for about 15 minutes. This was at 2019 San Diego Comic Con.
Love Chuck a stand up mans man
Chuck is 70. Looks 55. Great genes. Also, never took a drink or any drugs in his life.
Great guest chazz 💯🍿
I like chuck but he doesn't know what he's talking about Cus D'Amato died in 1985 mike tyson won the heavy weight belt in 1986... Not only has he disrespected Rocky Marciano a few times in the past and now you disrespect Cus D'Amato saying he had nothing to do with Mike tyson winning..... come on chuck stop it already give these men their due
How can Chuck disrespect Rocky Marciano? That's just crazy!😮
Trust me chuck knows what he's talking about. It is a fact that tyson didn't win the belt when D'Amato was alive it is a FACT. And never once did he say he "had nothing to do with Mike tyson winning". Also how did he disrespect Marciano?
He never said Cus had nothing to do with it. He just stated the fact that Kevin Rooney and team took him to the championship.
The shameless promotion in the beginning of every show is amazing...Did Chazz drop that terrific intro? Still waiting on the wise and the wise guy 🤣
i agree
Whats shameless about earning a living?
🍀👍🍀😊🥊great segment,great guest🥊great memories.
NYC,Limelight,etc.😂
We will see you in San Antonio.. been years since I wanted to see the show.
Chuck Great ..Big fan .Met him at Chiller Theater Convention n.j. good guy ....
Two legends
Guys, that was so good. The best podcast I've ever seen.
42 years ago, Chuck was in Big Joe's Tatoo Parlor. I came in for my first. He had a conflict with a tow truck driver over his shirt. Still mad, he carved my tatoo into my arm.
Love when you 2 get together man definitely have a mutual friendship and respect
Fantastic, 2 Fantastic people,,Chucks story's are so fucking interesting, love to meet and listen to more
Chazz got the Yvonne Durelle story wrong. It was Archie Moore, not Carmen Basillio, who got off the floor 5 times to knock out Durelle, who was a top contender in his prime , Archie was about 48 years old at the time.
You’re right my mistake
I love how unless you’re a true boxing scribe so to speak, whoever talks about boxing history really doesn’t know jack shit at all was the same on the Joe Rogan Show
Chaz was legendary on Married with Children!
2 awesome guys, wish I could make it to the Paramount
Is Chuck wearing the Stallone Tracksuit???
Yes it is
Rocky 4 sweatshirt
@@philthompson7318 I thought so, Very cool how he's paying homage to Sly, thank you.
@@Rock4UNow Yea bro always loved that sweatshirt actually Adidas made it first
Love Chuck! Such a nice guy. Great episode.👍🏻💯
Chaz a legend❣
Is there any video of zito ever fighting!?...I never seen 1!!...only stories 🤔
YEP ALOT OF STORIES you bet
Former Hells Angels president. Nuff said
Extremely difficult to catch a man as fast as Mr. Zito on film. 🥊🥋⚡️🥋🥊👽🍀🗽
Good show
Chuck is great and I love his rocky 4 shirt, I want one bad
Chuck and chazz are awesome together
As Chuck said, Louis and Walcott were a good amount older than Marciano, but Ezzard Charles was only two years older than Marciano. I wonder whether Marciano's grandson has seen this interview. There are no shortcuts to getting good. Marciano deserved all of his his success and perfect record.. He worked harder than anybody, and that deserves the upmost respect.
Marciano beat alot of young guys on his way up to fight Walcott and Charles. Everyone forgets that. Look up Harry Matthews, guy had almost 100 fights and only lost 7. He beat Walcott and Charles. Young guy, lost to Marciano, along with Don Cockell and Roland Lastarza. Tough young fighters all...couldnt handle Marciano
@@billsmith5433 Harry was a terrific fighter, tough kid from an underrated boxing town Seattle. Harry also defeated Danny Nardico, Harley Breshears, Rex Layne & Ted Lowry. Ted Lowry actually beat Rocky but was robbed thanks judges giving Rocky a hometown discount.
Chuck Zito! I like this guy!
Speaking of Tasmanian Devil “ Bleed For This “ is a awesome movie
Did he just say there is no golden gloves tournament anymore? He is 100% mistaken. the Golden Gloves Tournament is still held annually. Guys who win their local and regional tournament go on to the nationals. He might be talking about NY, they discontinued their tournament in 2017
Yo! Good old Chuckie is sporting a “Rocky IV” sweatshirt. Keep punching!
Chuck Zito, is the F'ing MAN.
Chuck got beat up by Roberto Duran after putting his hands on him he must of been crazy not saying Chuck ain't tough but Roberto Duran is out of Chuck's league
love it
What ever happened to that bike with the sissy bar and 6' straight pipes from SOA ?
I enjoyed the conversation but I can see how Chazz tries to narrow down the show. Imagine the stories Chuck has to share!
Marciano was 25 when he started boxing. He did not fight Walcott at 26.
Chuck is a class guy and a gentleman.
My Rules
We need more Chuck on this show
2 legends man. Chuck and Chazz.🇮🇹✌🏼🇺🇸
Paisan. Please bring your one man show to The Cleveland Playhouse. All of US from Little Italy and the Mayfield/Chesterland areas will show up in force. Please.
Definitely, Cus, though deceased, was 100% responsible for Tyson’s success-100%.
Cus & his wife gave Tyson love- & received it in turn.
Tyson’s life was a toboggan slide, thereafter.
Tyson won the 1984 Golden Glove Nationals.
Tyson turned pro in 1985.
The most charismatic & wonderful, then living legend, Johnny Duke, of Hartford, asked me to join him glove all of the fighters in the 1982 National Golden Gloves in KC.
In 1981, NYC did not participate in the Nationals. Our fighter, out of Chicago, won 132 pound Nationals; lost to NYC in the Inter-City. “If you won the NYC Golden Gloves you got nothing more to prove.” That was true.
The NYC Golden Glove winners could beat the GG National Final winners.
Those NYC young men were tough & champions.
Cus was 100% responsible for Tyson being Champion.
Zito is clueless, especially about Rocky. It was Moore vs. Durelle. Louis fought at 198 early in his career. At maturity he was around 205. He was 213 when he fought Rocky. Charles was 33. Rocky was 31. Marciano was 28 when he beat Walcott, not 26. Rocky didn't have is first legit pro fight until he was 25. Louis was 37, not 40 when he fought Rocky. Willard did not outweigh Dempsey by 150 pounds. He was 6 6", not 6'8". Archie Moore's age was always a mystery. But he was officially listed at 39 when he fought Rocky.
Why are these two so anti rocky i do not agree with anything chazz and chuck say about fighters left hooks///what about cooney and tommy morrison
Yoooo! That's rocky 3 Adidas sweat shirt. That's why he has rocky on it..
Chucky can say some funny and interesting stuff. OZ 4 ever.
Chazz, I love you my friend. Class. Chuck Zito legit Tough guy. Great show. 💙👊👋
I love Chuck. Here's an aging goomba that's still dangerous. A Hell's Angel Member that never smoked, drank, or did drugs. The Hell's Angels were some bad boys. I was in Sturgis, South Dakota, and I watched 4 Hell's Angels get into it with some rival bikers that had them outnumbered by 5 (there were 9 of the other bikers). The Hell's Angles did not back down when confronted. They fought like Vikings. The Hell's Angels got the worst end of the fray, but not by much. They were still standing holding their own when it was over. They were bloody and winded but still ready to fight on before the cops rushed in. The bar was a mess. Tables, chairs, and glass everywhere.
However, a couple of corrections. Marciano did fight a 38 Joe Walcott. Joe Louis was 37 when he fought the Rock in 1951. The Rock was the 3-1 underdog in both fights. Marciano started boxing late--he was nearly 25 during his first fight. Marciano weighed 182 when he fought Louis and Louis weighed 212. Ezzard Charles was 33 years old when he fought the Rock. The Mongoose--Archie Moore--was 41 in 1955. Don Cockell was the British champion and Marciano KOed him. He was 4 years younger than the Rock. It is true that Marciano beat fighters that were in age but they were the best of the best. Louis was rusty when he fought the Rock, and had not fought in over a year. Rocky was training every day and was in great shape. The fight was one-sided Louis was knocked out of the ring. Tyson was in his prime when he fought Larry Holmes in 1988 and Holmes was 38--a year older than Louis. When you compare the fight record of Marciano's he was 49-0-43 KOs. Still the best heavyweight record ever. Marciano was not the best boxer in history. He is the undefeated boxer with the best record in history. There will always be pros and cons. But you may consider about taking up an issue against Chuck Zito. Here is a guy that may be up in age but still can pack a punch.
That one Biker in that Bar scene wasn’t Rob Schneider? Interesting
Little Rock !!! Add Fort Smith & Fayetteville too ! Middleweight Harry Greb was greatest fighter-only one to beat Gene Tunney a heavyweight !
HARRY GREB IS FROM MY NEIGHBORHOOD AND AT 77YRS OF AGE I STILL LIVE SIX BLOCKS FROM HIS BLOCK my BELOVED DAD USED TO TELL ME HOW KIND GREB WAS TO THE KIDS WHO FOLLOWED HIM UP TO THE RESERVOIR WHERE HE RAN
Chuck would be a great guy to hangout with. He looks great for 69 years young. Chuck you need to have your own Podcast.
Chuck Zito is a stand up guy!
Love Chucky's "Rocky IV" Adidas sweatshirt. By the way Chuck couldnt box eggs. Axl and coked up Van Damme dont count
Chuck is ace (still looks the same as he did in Oz, 20 yeaŕs ago!😂). Knows his boxing, too. Top Man...

I pray there is never again a dumb person to ask who I am or if I know who I am I'm the one person with the Authority to challenge people during challenging times and you guys knew as well as I did the one day this would come just as they did
The fact hos father and men back then fought so much just shows how the guys today are primadonnas. Not to say there aren't great fighters and talented fighters but most don't have that will to fight day aftwr day. They fight once a year if that
I have more respect for Arturo Gatti, than chump Mayweather! And this is coming from a Mexican! 👍
Al La Barba!! ..........rip Mr Zito Sr
Another great episode 🙌🏻 love Chuck
Papa Dash was born in Sicily 1900 he bare knuckle boxed into his 50's
Read his biography twice. Good to see two faces from Larry David and Oz :)
