Seeing Tony Sirico age the way he did broke my heart , because believe you me he was a piece of steel! A Man’s Man . But we have our time when the clock ticks out …. Vinny looks great God bless him . I think the reason Chazz and his podcast are so special because he reflects the Italian American culture that has been lost over the years. The way we talk to each other, the food we eat, how we love our family and friends, and even most still going to church for holidays. Because Italian Americans didn’t pass down the language, it is less pronounced, but I still identify more with those values than I do with being an American or white.

My mothers father was born and raised til 8 years old in Italy, from Calabria….I wish there was a way to post a photo on here of him because he looks like he would be Vincent Pastore’s brother. They look almost identical it’s uncanny. The only difference is he had jet black hair and never greyed other than his gray sideburns until he died at 87 years old. I hung out with Pesci for 6 or 7 years right up till he made The Raging Bull. Hilarious guy. Great with the prank calls when he was in the restaurant in the afternoon (when he had nothing to do). SAY THE MIRACLE Repentance PRAYER daily and it will change your life! Dear Heavenly Father, I come to you now and humbly ask for your forgiveness. LORD, I confess that I'm a sinner and I've broken your Holy Law. I realize that the penalty for sin is death. I believe that JESUS CHRIST suffered and died on the Cross to take the punishment for ALL of my sins. I believe JESUS rose from the dead and I accept Him as my personal Savior. From this moment forward I give you my heart and trust you to be the LORD of my life. Please forgive ALL of my sins and send your Spirit to help me do your will. I Love You, Lord Jesus. I Praise You, Jesus. I Thank You, Jesus. I shall follow you every day of my life.
I thank you for your great love and accept your gift of eternal life, and I pray these things in JESUS name, Amen . Say this prayer faithfully, no matter what you feel, when you come to the point where you sincerely mean each word, with all your heart, something good spiritually will happen to you. You will experience Jesus, and HE will change your whole life in a very special way. You will see. A single saint fights back, and a thousand demons cry in agony. And you are that saint.
Jesus Will Never Leave Nor Forsake You
''Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land, and feed on His faithfulness. Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him and He shall bring it to pass.” Ps 37:3-5
Jesus Christ came into this world to reach those who feel that nobody cares. The Lord’s unfailing love surrounds the one who trusts in Him. The Lord Jesus Christ does care and He is reaching the lonely and the desperate, the confused and the hurt, the depressed and the disillusioned. Jesus Christ is reaching out to you.
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” Rom 5:8
As we turn away from our sin and turn to Christ we find forgiveness and freedom.
Jesus Christ is a Friend to the friendless.
He is a Helper to the helpless.
He gives freedom to the addicts.
    He loves the unloved.
    He accepts the outcasts.
    He changes the unchangeable.
    He forgives the unforgivable.

I used to live in Bay Ridge, Bklyn in the early 90s. One night my friend and I go to this restaurant/bar called the Greenhouse (on 4th Ave and 101 st) and we're at the bar when this very tall, kinda awkward older guy is very interested in my friend. I tell her "let's go to the bathroom and get rid of this guy, please!" Later he sees us again and chats up my friend. He tells her he's a writer and his name is Chaz. I whisper to my friend "let go, this guy's a loser and he'll never have 2 cents to his name!" YEP - an unknown Chaz Palmintieri was flirting with my friend and I told her we gotta leave. 😑 About 2 years later A Bronx Tale comes out and we're like 'wait a sec, he looks familiar....... " LOL.

A lot of BS in the wise guys don’t beg for stuff claim. In the right situation they sure as hell do. If they were that virtuous, you wouldn’t see so many of them in plea deals. There are a select few that would rather die then beg, but most definitely beg.

I’m Italian and I disagree with the statement “you had to be Jewish and from the North end.” I obviously don’t know for sure if there was discrimination or not, but Marlon Brando was a huge actor back in the day, why wouldn’t these plays and/or studios not want a good, talented Italian actor? I know Brando was not really Italian, but his “name” ended in a vowel….I just think maybe it was the talent level that was holding some Italians back, not the fact that they were greaseballs. If you were unable to change/withhold your NY accent then maybe that was also part of it….

Great show...I just subscribed. I loved Bronx Tale, it reminded me of my neighborhood growing up in Astoria Queens. I lived a 6 unit apartment house at 2338 Broadway that was the exact one as Deniro lived in, in the movie. Met Chaz briefly in Harrahs, A.C. as he came out of the showroom at the completion of his Bronx Tale play. He was very exhausted from the arduous performance but said hello to us in the lounge. A true gentleman , great actor, and proud Italian. Bravo Chaz.
