Banana Porridge:
1 cup (90g) Rolled oats
2 cups (480ml) Almond milk
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
Pinch Salt
1 banana, mashed + 1 for topping
1 tablespoon Honey + for topping
Walnuts for topping
Directions:
1. Put the oats in a saucepan, add pinch of salt and cinnamon. Pour in the milk.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until thickens or until you have the consistency you require.
3. Remove from heat, add mashed banana, honey/maple syrup (optional) and stir.
4. Transfer to a bowl, top with banana and walnuts or any other topping that you like and drizzle some honey or maple syrup (optional).
Chocolate Porridge:
1 cup (90g) Rolled oats
2 cups (480ml) Almond milk
2 tablespoons (15g) raw cocoa
Pinch Salt
1-2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup + for topping
Fruits of your choice for topping
Directions:
1. Put the oats in a saucepan, add pinch of salt and cocoa powder. Pour in the milk.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until thickens or until you have the consistency you require.
3. Remove from heat and honey or maple syrup (optional) and stir.
4. Transfer to a bowl, top with your fruits of your choice and drizzle some honey/maple syrup (optional).
Coconut Porridge:
1 cup (90g) Rolled oats
Pinch salt
2 cups (480ml) Coconut milk
1 tablespoon Coconut oil (optional)
2 tablespoons (12g) Desiccated coconut
1 banana, mashed
Maple syrup or honey for topping
Fruits of your choice for topping
Directions:
1. Put the oats in a saucepan, add pinch of salt. Pour in the milk.
2. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring frequently until thickens or until you have the consistency you require.
3. Remove from heat, add mashed banana, coconut oil, desiccated coconut and stir.
4. Transfer to a bowl, top with peach and drizzle some honey/maple syrup (optional).

I do this :
-1/4 oat milk(I recommend making your own with the Vegan Milker)
-2 smashed bananas,
-3 tablespoons of rolled oat ,
-a little bit of honey
and I eat it almost everyday it’s delicious✨

@@secretsinger8597 I know this comment is quite old, but maybe this tip would help you. I also never liked oatmeal until I blended the oats and then mixed them with oat milk and shortly warmed them up in the microwave (or on the stove). Makes it so much better!
Anyone else like me making porridge explicitly with water?
I know it tastes better with milk but the original Scottish recipe says it should be water. Also less kcal I reckon.

I do water first then when in my eyes it has the right consistency I’ll gradually add milk until its ready.

I tried it but with 1 cup cow milk 1 cup water and 1 cup oatmeal and I only had prickly pear so I added two and it tasted so delicious and I felt so full after breakfast which doesn’t usually happen and with only half the quantity. Thank you.

I think each amount she made serves two.. You are not gonna eats 90 gram of oats in one serving. Unless you are a 200 pound man who workes out everyday.

I top my regular porridge with grated apple plus some raspberries. Delicious!
oats,almond milk,sweetener monk fruit ,1 table spoon vanilla and 1 table spoon of peanut butter organic next half chops banana,raisins,wall nuts and let it cool a little and enjoy

Honey and maple syrup contain natural sugars and although they are not that healthy, it is a better alternative to sugar

@ marios zac sure Porridge is absolutely delicious & I enjoy these so often but I refrigerate not more than 3 days coz of Milk. Hope this helps :)
I put a tiny bit milk in my porridge because too much milk will remove its purpose for losing weight (if that's your goal) I also add organic Ethiopian honey instead of artificial honey. I add slices of strawberry, raspberry and banana. This makes for a much healthy and tastier bowl of porridge in my opinion.

replace syrup with yacon syrup or sugar free syrup,but still use alot less.
replace cocoa powder with cocao nibs.
and add some flaxseed,and some low GI fruit, if you choose.

Dark chocolate (75% or 80% Cocoa, not the sugary dark chocolates) with my porridge, almonds, banana and muesli.
