I will be using this video as a justification as to why I need to get a chocolate labrador.

I've been dressing this way in fall and winter for decades. Spent many years studying engineering at University of Michigan. Now I work in the chemical industry. On the side, I tutor students aspiring to build a career in STEM. Perhaps one day this will be my full time gig. That being said, when I was a much younger man, I was often mistaken for a professor. I really liked that. Good work, your channel will inspire men of any age to rethink there style and behavior.

Being mistaken for the professor as a student is a great compliment. I think my style of dressing has helped me a lot in my career and I hope other young men can enjoy the benefits of style that go beyond just the visuals. Thank you for your comment, Scott!

As a teacher, I dress this way during Late November through early March, with a brief hiatus for seasonal colors during December. I wasn’t aware my winter wardrobe had a name.
That is why I watch this channel on a semi regular basis even though I am older and fairly set in my style of dress. You are informative and present your material in a well researched and organized manner. I have learned a few things from your channel that has helped me communicate style more effectively when a student of mine broaches the topic during conversation at work.
I have have noticed that more younger gentlemen are beginning to embrace classic and more traditional styles of dress. I credit channels like yours for that and want to let you know that it is good to see. I enjoy your content and look forward to watching your content develop over the coming months.

Thank you for your comment! I am so glad you feel like my channel is part of this movement in helping young men dress better. I can see that this aesthetic is absolutely perfect for a teacher during the winter and it’s no surprise your students are asking you for style tips!

Sooo... I guess what I've been wearing for two decades now has a name xD
Tho I err more on the black + navy side rather than the earth tones, I do sport those occasionally and oft add a splash of red in accessories (scarf) to add some interest.

So the dark asthetic is basically tweed with a pair of boots. So mysterious.

I'm neigh "young" guy, so there's that what I may already KNOW some the stuff here.......
EMERALD GREEN? I would think more FOREST.
Many of the Dark Preppy offering stuff is bland, tho.
He says Blazer when means Sport Jacket.

    • @Highland_Paddy

A fisherman knit sweater was traditionally a more working class garment than Old Money or Preppy.

    • @Highland_Paddy

Some corduroy trousers are more dressy than others. Some are basically just five pocket jeans.

    • @Highland_Paddy
      @Highland_Paddy 8 месяцев назад +1

Boots are more Street Style, but I'll allow a little leeway since we're not doing strictly Preppy, I guess.

Calling a dog an accessory is so toxic and inappropriate, what happens to it when you decide to change style? Throw the poor dog away? It is becoming a problem in many countries where an animal is seen as a decoration, animal shelters are having a big crisis with irresponsible pet owners abandoning their dogs and to the lesser extent cats :<
It's a cool, informative video, don't get me wrong, but that part is a bit iffy
