Its not stress its the straight cut gears acting like a turbine vs the modern gear boxes that eliminate the noise by making it more curved and better for the engine

Are the curved gears actually better for the engine? I know the curved gears put more stress on the transmission but I would have thought the stress would have been more on the driveshaft versus the engine@@martuines1287
I think the car has CRAZY aero. Check out the way he takes that turn at 2:57. So much speed and he passed a Porsche at the same time. Has to have some sort of ridiculous aero, like wings, spoilers, flat floor, diffuser, also good slick tires.
this car has zero spoilers. it's a proper touring car from the BTTC in 90's. All the other cars are just tuner cars, Porsche or Ferrari it doesnt matter

@@MisterAAnderson No, straight cut is only the gears themselves, a sequential gearbox as the name implies goes through all of the gears one by one in order, as the name implies, not the same as a traditional stick where you can select gears directly.
The video's not doing it justice. With the sound insulation gone, you'll be lucky to even hear even a little of it on low revs, the engine noise is going to drown most of it out.
