How about making MD a 6 year degree that you can get admission into right after Grade 12? A med school entrant with his 4.0 CGPA in sociology or music in undergrad will not necessarily make a great doctor. Maybe make summer vacations only 2 months long while in medical school? For those students who prefer 4 month summer vacations, offer the option of taking summer vacations in alternate years. Don't force medical students to drink out of a fire hydrant of information in the first two years of MD as it is counterproductive to learning.
