Becoming a pro wrestler is hard work and dedication but once you commit your self is awesome trust me I did and I love my job as a pro wrestler it’s my passion and it’s something I love to do and William regal said it best
Im going in a wrestling school soon, I will give everything my body has to give, im going to take my personality and put it up to an 11 out of 10, I will practice and memorize everything that iv'e learned that day at the wrestling school, I will go to the gym giving everything I got to have the best shape as I can! I want you all to remember my name, because I will make a difference in the world of pro wrestling!
I'm in the same boat my man. Hope to see you in the ring one day. Remember the name Ethan Weatherwax. Once my parents let me do training, or if they don't and I wait until I'm an adult, I will commit myself and everything I have and everything I am to wrestling. Best of luck
One of the most technical pro-wrestlers of his era. He had the biggest suplex arsenal among all wrestlers and some great submissions (search for 'Regal Stretch'), always executed with raw power, explosion and perfect tecnique.
Its crazy to see how nice of a person he is, and then you see him in character, and he is the biggest ass you've ever seen. Very few "heels" i've ever liked, but Regal was one of them.
I've been training for 8 months now. What Regal said is spot on. I'm no stranger to hard work in the gym, but I've been pushed beyond my limits in prowrestling training. It takes a mental discipline like no other. You have to push through exhaustion and pain night in and night out. You'll change your diet and spend time away from your family. Tough if u have kids, which I do. I've watched trainees come and go, it's not easy, but the payoff of being in front of a crowd doing what you love and they're entertained by it is priceless.
blue it was just a 7 day wwe tryout came at the Performance Center I've been wrestling on the Indy's for about 3 years now they told me next time there in town in my area they will have me has a extra.
Miss KayKay probably means that they would have him “job” to another wrestler (Lose to put their Wrestler over) which is not a bad thing it’s very good and means you could be close to getting a real shot in the big leagues
I trained for 3 years before my first match. I started at 12 and trained every day. It's a lot of hard work but a lot of fun, and training can be boring and repetitive sometimes but it's worth sticking with it.
I started wrestling 2 months ago I wake up every morning and go to the gym for 2 hours i push my body to the limits when I was in the ring practicing move's I done one wrong and almost broke my arm my family wanted me to stop but that motivated me to try harder even if they don’t believe in me I do.
In Brazil the fight wrestling does not have much value and not even visibility, so much so that we only have 3 fighters that barely appear in NXT, I will do what I can to reach the top, even if it is in ROH or something like that, it would be an honor to somehow bring this culture for my country .
I honestly feel like punching myself in the face. I've been hooked to this business for years now, but I've never taken the idea of making a career out of this seriously. I've always had pretty low self-esteem and talked myself down by telling myself that I would never be good enough. This business is my life. I feel as if I've wasted my chance and it's too late for me to start trying. Now I deeply regret the stupid decisions I've made. My advice is: don't doubt yourself and get your ass to work.
It's not too late! I've seen tons of guys on independent wrestling shows with me that are in their 30s and 40s tear the house down and make a killing! You just have to find a reputable school and get at it. The hardest part of pro wrestling is starting out. Even if nobody else does, I believe in you!
I love this discussion in the comments. I'm in a slightly similar quandary because I would like to start wrestling, but I've been concerned if they would take a guy like me; in my later 20s, not particularly athletic, been a devoted fan for less then only 2 years, etc. Now that I know there are folks starting in their 40s and such.... I have hope. I can be Strong, I can be Charismatic. I have a chance, and so do you! Make your dreams come True!
@@mjtae 37 as well. Been trying at it for about 8 years now, but have my own personal demons and failings. But you keep going because of course you do because what else are you gonna do, not keep going? So you keep on. I've announced three trainee shows now, trusted with the responsibility even though they have to have a plan in place in case one of my seizures comes on. There are wrestlers out there with asthma, wrestlers with retarded IQs, wrestlers with very obvious autism (which also is myself), wrestlers with missing limbs, whatever the relative handicap is someone's out there doing it regardless. Feels like I have a place in the world. Feel valued, and that's all truly anyone wants in life isn't it. Best of luck to everyone here! Even if you're 60 if you're fit it won't matter and if you're not you can get fit and then you will be. I'm not fit. But I'll claw my way through something someone half my age and size does in half the time, and have a face full of red puff in order to show my determination, asking for no praise. And hold up the entire class for it and ask for no forgiveness. Because part of being older is knowing that stuff, knowing humility, knowing discipline, knowing how to deal with jealousy, ego, all that. That's an advantage just like being more physically capable is an advantage. And as for personality? That can shine at any point in your life. And the world of pro wrestling has given me chances nowhere else gave me. It has told me to show it what I've got where other persuits closed the door on me and gave me no option. We're all very far from ideal, we've all got our limits and we've all got problems we don't even need to have. But we've all got our qualities too, and we've all got our passions and our skills and specialties, for every habit you can't kick there's a talent that comes naturally, and just being put in the right situation alone can make you shine brighter than you ever thought you could. Don't give in. Everybody who's made it has heard a thousand times that they're never gonna make it. To me that's like praise. If you tell me I'm wasting my time, what I take from that is: I was worth even talking to in the first place. I was there to hear it when nobody else showed up. That by itself is a leap above most! Keep on. Keep reconsidering, keep reassessing, keep adjusting. And keep going. And specifically to do with age, honestly every year you keep surviving on this planet's a bloody achievement in the first place. So that's something to be proud of just for its own sake. I'm already older than I "should be" according to statistics. There's pride to be took from that, and pride's a very available driving force, good utility, reliable. Someday someone's gonna see a 300lbs bumble bee on their screens flying around the ring squashing everyone. And someday someone's gonna take that ridiculousness seriously. It's the human story: we are all ridiculous. Peak humanity is peak ability to take how ridiculous we are seriously, for fun, without forgetting we're ridiculous. In this way, pro wrestling's the truest persuit there ever was. :)
DDP started at the age of 35 ... I don't know how old you are, but DDP did quite alright for himself! He didn't even get in the business as a manager at all until 32 years old.
Make sure you have a regular job or get an education somewhere else, so that in case you don't make it in wrestling, you have another place to go to make a living. Like what The Rock does, he balances both wrestling and Hollywood at the same time, although he mainly focuses on the movies because he doesn't have to beat himself up every night and risk putting himself in a wheelchair or losing his money or family. So you can do something like that.
I think you have a good observation. Not everyone is able to make wrestling a full-time job so having something else to fall back on is important. Keep pursuing wrestling if it's your passion and I think that there's a good chance you can make it your full source of income.
Did you... Did you just suggest becoming a Hollywood star as a fall back job to support a wrestling career? If this was trolling then sweet jesus that's some good shit
El Rey Rosales yeah but the chances of becoming a wrestler especially like a pro wrestler is really low usually around the 5-3% of people so it’s best to already have a plan
It's there for you if you want it. If you don't want it that's fine. If you're satisfied where you're at, be satisfied with that. But you could, if that's what you wanted. So whatever it is you truly want, go with that.
It’s always been my dream to become a WWE superstar...i am now 16 and want to start training to go to The indies, but I don’t know how or where...any tips for me would be so helpful plzz and thnx😊🙃
You know I’m only 15 but I’ll try to give you the best advise I can. I’d start by looking for the best pro wrestling schools online. Do everything in your power to do that then when you eventually find one try and find a job near the wrestling school so you have income to pay for it
And if you’re having trouble getting in shape try and get a personal trainer if you can to help you get in shape for wrestling. Idk if this’ll help but right now this is the best advise I can give you. Hope it helps
I'm 27 and I'm from Argentina. Quite old to start and far away from any reputable wrestling school. However a year and a half ago I started training in the gym, the hardest I've trained in my life, every week, every day. I've change my diet, I've gained muscle and lost a lot of fat. I've said my prayers and eat my vitamins. I've been saving money, got a better job and I'm about to graduate from University. All of this with the objetive of getting a job in another country so I can move, and get started on a wrestling school. I'm willing to leave my friends, my family and start a new life far away from home because maybe, if just maybe there's a little chance for me to live my childhood dream, all of this hard work would be worth it. Some days its pretty hard, some days the dream seems so far away that working seems not worth at all. But its those moments, when I'm exhausted, where I can't lift no more weight, when I'm about to stop at the threadmill that I see myself as a champion. I picture myself in my head as being a pro wrestling champion and holding my title in front of fans, when I think of that, weight isn't as heavy, running isn't exhaustive. Maybe, if just maybe there's a chance for me to fullfil my dream, then it's worth fighting for it
I truly wish that I could become a professional wrestler someday. However, I've never had any training in my life except mimicking what I saw, and my body is so pathetically weak and fragile to the point where I don't even know where to start when it comes to strengthening myself. I'm 20 years old right now, and since I've never had any amateur wrestling experience in school(there was absolutely nothing related to wrestling or sports besides basic PE during my time at school), is it too late for me to think about trying to become a wrestler?
Joe Hendry was 25 when he started training for wrestling and he's been quite successful. Don't think too hard about your age, just find a wrestling school and give it a try.
For the longest time I was aiming for WWE. Then for the longest time I was aiming for NXT because I honestly think it's a better show than Raw or Smackdown. But either way that's aiming at the top. Very, very recently I have switched to aim for announcing, since I love doing that and have a talent at it. It currently seems more realistic for me. Should an opportunity to be an active wrestler come my way however, I'll still wanna take that opportunity. Set your goals high and your satisfactions low, is my advice. I want to be the greatest superstar wrestler anyone's ever seen, who doesn't. But if I end up a low carder in a local promotion and that's the highest height I reach anywhere I go? Or if I'm never an active wrestler but I can contribute with my announcing and that side of it never reaches great excesses of fame or fortune? I'll be damn proud of that and that's so much more to do with your life than most people achieve or even try to achieve. If after you're gone, someone in the world was the better for you having existed, that's a life.
you also have to understand that you might have to throw your career away in order to make other, less entertaining faces, look better. can you handle that?
