Scott you have my prayers. My mom passed away at 81 back in April. It was expected and had a series of falls that took its toll in her last 3-4 years. She was healthy and active prior to that. 96 is a great run.

I agree with your comments to Scotty, Dakiraun, regarding the passing of his dear mother. Being a WNY native, as Scotty is, it makes me smile when he speaks of his early years here and how he came by his love for mechanics and developed his extraordinary gifts. He often mentioned visiting his Mom in Buffalo and her awesome gumption. I especially appreciate the photo of Scotty's late Mom that he shared in this video. No doubt that Scotty's mother was tremendously proud of him.... and she was very precious to him.

My grandfather lived to 95 and he was always positive about life. In fact, his funeral was a happy celebration because that's the way he wanted it to be.
He would jokingly look at the obituaries and see who he outlived.

No, Scotty loves Toyota so much that he removes all logos and puts a Toyota emblem on all his cars regardless of which company actually gave birth to it. That way they will last longer.
@@kayossmayhem Reminds me of the guy I knew some years back that had a 20 year old beat up Chevy truck that put a Mercedes logo on the front... with a bread tie. He said it made the car worth twice as much and run three times better. (Not joking)

I used to own a1986 Toyota Celica dual overhead cam front drive, it was a fun car, it was a mistake getting rid, the memories i had with that car when I was young WOW!!!!!!1
Scotty you gotta get with that Cerakote Ceramic trim restorer. It's fantastic. Used it on all the trim on my F150 last winter here in Indiana and it still looks fantastic today. Even lasted through carwashes lol. It's amazing stuff.

Don't use epoxy. Use 3M molding tape. It was made for this.

I remember the day my mum passed, I was driving a truck, semi, southbound into New Mexico , going somewhere for a company. My sister called me, I pulled into the weigh station in New Mexico at Colorado border. Told the officer this and cried. It sucks, yes, . God Bless! She did a great job, and your pop too!

Pro tip for keeping plastic protected.
Use ceramic coating on it.
Ceramic coating will UV protect the plastic, make it dirt resistant, and make it jet black.
It also won't just wash off, so make sure you clean the plastic well before you apply.

Here's a tip. Don't use a perfectly good screwdriver to mix epoxy...there are plenty of better tools to use that are made of wood or plastic and are throwaways .

@Scotty great news for my 94 Acura Integra cruise control. Mine quit working one day heading home from the beach. Spent $400 for an electronics shop to fix it and they fixed nothing. Told me it was the in dash switch which did nothing. Now I know where to look! Had the same problem on a 2003 Honda Pilot

The Back To Black used to do wonders for my 2007 Honda Fit's cowl!
I use it on my Jeep. Works fine, lasts a long time.
All he needed was a little laquer thinner. Didn't have to go through all that with a wheel, Jesus.
Just the other day I sanded and repainted those spots on my Corolla where the letters and logo fell off. Makes it look cleaner and more like an old Honda civic 😂

I'd rather use a 3M outdoor double sided tape on those things, its cleaner than using epoxy.
3M auto trim adhesive is REALLY GOOD.... I use it on yacht trims too.😎

@deetee3153 I don’t think Scotty will ever sell the Celica. He is just too attached to it. Scotty has featured the 93 Celica in many videos. He always brags about the reliability and simplicity of the car.Obviously the car is designed very well and is built for many years of dependable use.
Normal WD-40 is excellent to remove sticks goo, might even remove the thicker one from the Toyota logo in the back

Old cars are cool because they don't spy on you. Everything you do in a new car is recorded and shared with manufacturers, insurance, gov, and anyone else that's interested. They are unsecured computers on wheels. Tesla is probably the worst offender.
I also use the Mothers black & black also but it usually only last 6-8 months…
