Just as important as John Deere getting exposure of their new equipment is Emma promoting herself as a qualified spokesperson! Combine upgrades look great. Wish they would’ve added the feeder house exhaust fan also. Demonstrated a X9 last fall, the fan is a great feature.

That's a good idea with the weed recognition. I have the Picture This app for plant identification. So, why not automate the sprayer with it.

Hi Emma. Do you think JD will have enough new equipment in the field to actually use for planting spraying and harvesting for the coming year so we can see you or the harvesting crew you work with use this new technology. Will the Larsons have video up too.

My cat before I got him fixed should have been called "see and spray".
Does the sprayer have auto steering?
The problem with "see and spray" is you have no residual chemical in the soil if you use roundup or some other contact chemical. You still need to put down a general soil based residual chem for the weeds not yet emerged....So, two spraying trips required.
I would think most in row crop country would have the second system for broadcast added. That how the Fendt our co-op has is. Spray residual while doing see and spray at the same time, or combine late escape spraying with fungicide or foliar feed.
I am in row crop country, and never seen a sprayer that would do both jobs at once. Nothing is said in this write-up that the new Hagie can do both jobs of residual spraying 100% of the ground while at the same time

My money says it will not work properly.... When the wind is blowing it varies and if you spray when too windy same as this rig... Your spray will sometimes miss the target...A single 1 cm. wide weed partly under /behind a dirt lump out of camera view gets missed!!!.... In the wind... But under low to ZERO wind ??? May work...Otherwise... Use your other $ Million dollar sprayer....@@lynwessel2471

For me Drones have a better application of see and spray. Sees before and after process a map to the sprayer
For the cost you are right going to be thing of the future.... Drone cost will be lots but that sprayer ??? 1.?? million and some... My thinking that sprayer is going to need refining... Like the 2013 Escape parrelel parking... Does not work all the time fender bender if you rely on it!!

You are jealous of what John Deere can do
$$$$ How Much!!!! Cannot see how it would work with small scattered weeds that may be partly hidden to the camera. Would think it needs much refining for the extra $$$... You can clean fields with the right weather events timing rain etc. and good fertilizer program + RR crops and several passes with a sprayer.. But this???? More group 1 2 4 tolerant weeds that get only a 10% touch of spray... What works... Spray in a 15-20 KM wind or more in higher crops and cut your chemical from recommended is way better $$$ spent!! And this sprayer would need a wind speed & direction compensating adjustment to put any spray drift where it is needed to hit the weed weeds! But nice seeing it going through the motions....
welker farms had a great sprayer with the technology. only problem with new hagie sprayer has a john deere engine it.

Your agriculture equipment more advance comparison India
Better have a big wallet to replace the proprietary components, and good luck troubleshooting the locked down computer system. This sprayer will go in the scrap pile after a few years because it cost to maintain it will be prohibitive and they'll want you to move keep their newest model... Forced obsolescence. What really pisses me off is there probably using open source image recognition software that's embedded in their proprietary crap.

That is why many of farmers cannot work as prices are super low and equioment and repairs are abnormaly high.

Sprayer is pure junk, no air support, its a disgrace to see how the wind throws everything in the air !
Even old JD sprayers had TwinFluid systems, Hardi has air support as many others and JD makes them like it is 5000€ sprayer in 2024.
I always like to spray in some or a good amount of wind if no drift to other crops a problem... Your right it works so much better!
