I think the simplest explanation is that voter turnout is extremely low, therefore only abnormal members of electorate (abnormal because they actually vote) are exercising their political power, creating the issue where only a small percentage of the total population actually voted for their representatives in government. I'm watching this video, one day after Mr Trump's Inauguration. I remember, I was so happy when Mr Obama became President in 2008.
I prefer the Obama's time like president from 2008 to 2012, than his time like president from 2012 to 2016. During his first years like president, i had the impression that it was time of peace, freedom, and democracy in the world (this sentence is inspired by another RUclips commentary, which is I agree with). During the last two years (from 2014 to 2016), my opinion with Mr Obama's policy changed. I mean that i didn't agree with him every time.
In conclusion, I wanna say that Barack Obama was a Great President of the United States, and I'm very sad that he and his Democratic Party will not be in the White House anymore. And I wanna say that I am proud to be of the generation who is Fan of Obama !
