Thank you for adding a very nice perspective on Hong Kong. I live in Hong Kong, but do not have the opportunity to fly that often... Thank you for adding a very nice view of this beautiful city.
The third runway (referred to as the North runway) began operations in July 2022 and the original North runway then redesignated as the Centre runway was closed for reconfiguration until 2024. So it is technically not a newly built RWY, rather re-opend after marking the completion of the three RWY system
Thank to your nice video, the weather was great !!! FYI, runway 07C is NOT new runway, it was North runway (07L/25R) before the usage of the 3rd runway. "C" stands for Center; in 3 runway system, the current runways are: 07L / 25R (the 3rd runway) 07C / 25C (north runway in past) 07R / 25L (south runway in past)
@@FueltoNoiseGenerator I loved it the first time but it was only a stop when going to Singapore. My second time I had to wait in HK airport for 16 hours I was so tired from crossing the oceans that I slept right on the floor as others did. The airport had very few people and vendors were all closed. So machines made my drinks. It was an experience all in all a good one.
Thanks for a great view of the Tsing Yi Container port at 4'30"... from one of the busiest terminal in the world to now showing empty cargo stacking area to screen's upper right; fewer ships plus empty patches dotted around the rest of the terminal....
@@hohotaiwei Thanks for your comment! Glad you enjoyed the video! I was not aware of that development of the cargo terminal! Do you know why it’s downwinding?
Many new container terminals were built near-by in China. They have better direct connections with China's land transporting routes in land. I think HKG's days as a premier maritime trans-shipping port are fading ....
Fantastic video, so lucky to get such a clear day. The flight out of Hong Kong is much better with the new runway in operation, right over the city
Thanks a lot! Will always take the window seat on the right from now on ;)
@FueltoNoiseGenerator still good views on the left, looking over Shatin and the new territories
great stuff
Lucky you....sure was a great day for flying. Never seen such a clear view of HK.
True! Very rare - the stars must have aligned that day!

Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for sharing! Was a super unique experience as I was very lucky with weather and departure route.
Amazing...what a city.....Thanks for the video !
Thanks for the kind words! You are welcome! :) Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful view thanks for posting this video!👏
You are most welcome! Glad you enjoyed it
BEAUTIFUL - what a lucky day 😊
Absolutely! So many times out or into HKG with nothing but white-out..
This is one of first batch of VHHH runway 07C depart videos in youtube.
Thanks for that! I wasn’t aware. I‘ve added that to the title :)
Isn’t this the old 07L (which has just been renamed 07C), rather than the new runway?

You flew almost directly over my home. If you could, next time, ask the pilot to bear left a little. hahahaha.
Haha, will do ask them to bank a little more that I can film downwards! 😅

Noice!! ❤ HKG
Haha! Right! Nice + Noise = Noice! here more than ever! ;)
I can see the old kaitak airport runway😎
Yes! After the right turn towards the end at 5:38
The mountains were one of the first things I remember seeing after unbearding and it was surreal my first time in HK.
Glad you liked it hope you get the chance to visit many times!
