Sling only allows you to watch on one device at a time. You have to log off of one device and log onto the other device. Who has time for that? I have to log out of my TV before leaving the house so I can log onto my tablet or whatever device later on in the day.
PlayStation Vue! Had PlayStation Vue for a over year now, and I could not be happier. Not only is it superior to the other OTT services, I would argue it is the best TV/On Demand service on the market. If you are lucky enough to live in a city where all of your local channels are available and your local sports as well, then you can not beat Vue. I went from paying almost $250 a month for Comcast for 1 TV and DVR, to $65 a month, with access on all 4 of my TVs, plus my mobile devices. I won't be going back to traditional cable.
Kevyn Grams wow I couldn't stand it. Problems with the picture going black while using the guide. No last Channel recall, nevermind where's the DVR. You would think considering how big DirecTV they would not come out with a half ass product. After all they are not Reinventing the wheel.
Are you still saving money with these providers because it seems like everyone is increasing the fees. Whats the point then of cutting cord. I've been using PS Vue because I get it at a discounted rate. The only thing I really like about it is I can plug it in anywhere. And when I move, I do not have to deal with calling cable co.
Philo tv isn't bad either of you don't care for sports channels. DVR functions included. I tried sling tv but no DVR included ($5 more) . But it kept freezing my wifi router... Philo streams with no buffering or freezing up. $16 / month 37 channels. 7 day free trial.
I had sling when it first came out for about 9 months, it was very laggy and picture quality was often off, even with very fast home WiFi, and PlayStation Vue you need a PlayStation 4 right? Or does it work with a PS3?
I subscribe to PSVue as My primary Service and RUclips TV as My second service. I had Slinger TV but I dropped it for PSVue. I miss Viacom and A&E with BET! NO TVOne?
I like Viva Live Tv better, only 35 per month, hundreds of channels and I can watch on my phone anywhere or kids on the IPAD anywhere with which keeps them quiet on long trips. They also are adding the DVR feature plus they also have movies
So in reality, you're going to spend a significant amount of change mostly for channels you have no interest in and still have to watch ads, essentially just like cable & satellite TV. No thanks. For $8/month, Amazon Prime & Netflix are much better values - and NO ADS. Live TV just isn't much of an incentive except for news, and you can get that OTA or online for free.
This is old info and needs an update. Here in Houston local channels are not common in PS Vue and it’s over $50 to begin a basic package . Most are all sports and we hate sports . PS Vue is hardly the best. Biased much ?
I'm starting to lose a lot of respect for CNET. You guys used to do good accurate reviews, seems like that's gone away a long time ago. You kind of like covered over the pricing screen for PlayStation Vue, I wonder why. Could it because you know they're falsely advertisement the number of channels in their packages. That's been going on for at least 6 months since they lost the Viacom channels. I think you guys need to get back to the basics and do a complete review not just a bogus one.
why pay when you dont have to mobdro has alot of channels they are live they have news sports check it out and the best thing is its free. free flix hq you get tv and movies yes i said its also free. show box has movies and tv free and tea tree has movies and tv shows yes its free terriaum is another movies and tv also has amazon, hulu and youtube on it . oh yes its free also. just trying to help you out.

Kevyn Grams you should try Hulu live TV . I never had a stuttering problem like it does on Playstation Vue and sling TV .
Nitro TV. 3000 channels. Premium channels, sport packages, 24/7, latino channels, every freaking channel you can think of. $20 a month
When they say for PSV, that "recordings expire" does that mean you can only go a month back for "live tv" or stuff you physically record?
How do I get internet service ?
Set TV IS BEST
great video
I have Hulu. Better than all of them

Never heard of any these, Kodi....
i got kodi but still get direct tv now
ElChiruvian Thunderload what have you been living under a rock. Lol

What about FuboTV and Philo?
Playstation Vue looks nice. But Kodi has access to the whole world.
I had sling when it first came out for about 9 months, it was very laggy and picture quality was often off, even with very fast home WiFi, and PlayStation Vue you need a PlayStation 4 right? Or does it work with a PS3?
Vue works on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Roku, Amazon Fire devices, iOS devices, Android devices, and Web Browsers.
Monis Irfan just checked the pricing you might be very surprising to find how much more PlayStation Vue cost.
I subscribe to PSVue as My primary Service and RUclips TV as My second service. I had Slinger TV but I dropped it for PSVue. I miss Viacom and A&E with BET! NO TVOne?
Doesn't subscribing to both of them end up costing you about the same as just getting cable or satellite?
PlayStation Vue is on Android phones and tablets so you can go anywhere with it. idk about for iOS though
Devin Richardson it's on iOS as well, I use it all the time at work
one negative is only sling tv will give you vh1

NO CLOSED CAPTION ON THIS?????????
TV is dieing slowly. Since we can get our information fast with out paying and watch shows or movie whatever time we want.
Very overdue dude. Cheapest sling package just went up to 25 dollars not 20 anymore
I would say Vue is the best if you have a PS4 but they dropped Spike
Vivalive tv is the best 400 channels movies 35$ a month.
This is old info and needs an update. Here in Houston local channels are not common in PS Vue and it’s over $50 to begin a basic package . Most are all sports and we hate sports . PS Vue is hardly the best. Biased much ?
No there correctly called Skinny Bundles

Lol. Poor netflix. The one that started this war.
I have Netflix , boring contents just saying only better than Aussie Tv
This should be updated. Completely irrelevant atm

Thumbs down for not mentioning how many streams each service allows you and naming a service that requires a playstation in order to subscribe to it.
John Salazar you don't need PS at all. If u have Roku or Amazon boxs you can get it that way too
