It was lame. Way too preachy. I don't disagree with his overall message but he seemed to have forgotten he's still a comedian and a better comedian could have gotten the same message across whilst making us laugh the entire time.

I’d be willing to bet Jimmy Carr’s hecklers are planted. Usually the comedian’s cadence changes or you’ll at least see them processing what the heckler is saying. Jimmy’s responses sound exactly like a part of his act, and he always looks like he’s not even paying attention to the hecklers. Not to mention the way the hecklers react to his responses. They’re making the face of somebody listening, not somebody talking or trying to make a point.
No plants. He came up in British comedy clubs where heckler is almost part of it . That’s part of his show where he encourages heckling
@@DanielChardMagic Well that makes sense if it’s he encourages it and it’s a known part of his show. I could always tell something was different about the behaviors of his hecklers from the usual hecklers we see, who tend to be annoyed, disappointed, or drunk, and always have an attempted comeback to the comedian’s response. That’s why it feels “planty” if you don’t know
He's honed his craft on it. If you watch a lot of his stuff, he has a *lot* of preprepared responses, but you'll hear them re-used.
