I love how honest Charlotte always is and she really thinks about the question and her answer. Such a genuine and wonderful person. And the new album is soooo good ❤️🔥
@@BelgianJasper That’s a very difficult question. I’m a Patron so I’ve known them all for a long time but Vigor and Valor is special to me and that 2024 version of Soft Revolution is amazing. What’s yours? 😊
I always like hearing from Charlotte. Intelligent and thoughtful. Her musical journey reminds me a bit of Rush -- not everything fits in a certain mold (metal, in this case), and you'll get more out of it if you just enjoy what she's doing without worrying about the genre or how it sounds next to earlier work.
@@BelgianJasper I listened a lot to the Patreon versions of the songs for a long time and basically loved them all, now I have to say that the album versions are so much better. My current favourites are "The Crying Room" (Timo's guitar solo is just great) and "Vigor + Valor" which was already one of my favourites as the Patreon variant. And the new "Soft Revolution" of course, which reminds me of the magic of the live renditions of that song, which are amongst my best concert memories ever.
00:08:00 Can attest, the live growls are amazing - even better than on the album or than I'd expect from the first time I heard Charlotte's beastly side. Loved it at Baroeg! And that held note - jeez.
@@BelgianJasper For me I'd say split between their great performance of The Exorcism* and the fact that they played Afkicken. But it was good stuff all around. *: The long held note and that knee drop before the final growl of the song; what a performance during that song by Charlotte, honestly (check Denise Hof's channel for a live video of it).
@@PVDH_magic Africken is SO GOOD! I'm in the U.S. and I hope I get to see Charlotte live here again. If not, I'll just have to time a visit to Europe just right!
Thanks for this interview with the unsinkable Charlotte! Also a patron of her Patreon and preemptively I’ll say that Praise is my favourite off the album but I feel the band elevated everything to the stratosphere!
@@BelgianJasper Oh my God, it’s absolutely G-Roots choir members working with her, in the Album Patron preview we saw every band member purely rocking out as it played, it’s very clear to say they loved making it as much as I loved hearing it 🤣💪🏻❤️🔥⛪️
Oooh, that was really good! So many points here and there, and it's assuring to have fans contribute in a greater way, otherwise we wouldn't get to hear all this during these times. Not just them, but also the creative team behind the scenes. But yeah, I was not aware that there was a bonus track on the vinyl. Visions of Atlantis has one on their latest album, too. I guess I should get a record player soon, haha. Anyway, thanks for sharing this! I'll be listening to the album soon.
@@BelgianJasper I haven't listened to all of the songs yet as I'm waiting for my physical copy to arrive. I've been a Patreon since Charlotte started it more than 4 years ago. I'm sure it will be awesome. 🥰
@@metal_maniac_68 everytime I interview her it's a great conversation, and I agree that the sign is very good 👍 feel free to check out the other interviews with Charlotte on my channel 🤘
