  • Hey my Lovelies,
    It's my first wash day post relaxer and I couldn't have been more excited to get that straight feeling out of my. My wash days are so important because I see them as a quick reset for my hair. My hair is dry- wash day will fix it; my hair feel limp- wash day will fix it.
    In this video, I walk you through my usual wash day routine, step by step, and share with you everything that I normally do on a wash day. The results? Air dried tresses 😊. I love to air dry my hair for thicker and fuller results.
    Wash days are so important on you relaxed hair journey. It forms part of your relaxed hair care regimen!
    I used the following products in my wash day routine:
    *Shampoo- Creme of Nature Argan Oil from Morocco Sulfate Free Moisture and Shine Shampoo
    *Conditioner- ORS Olive Oil Strengthen and Nourish Replenishing Conditioner
    *Deep conditioner- Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Hair Mask
    *Leave in- Shea Moisture Manuka Honey and Mafura Oil Intensive Hydration Leave-in Milk
    *Serum- John Frieda Frizz Control Original
    My hair turned out so soft that I ended up wearing curly styles for the week. Let me know if you would like to see how I achieved my curls from the thumbnail.
    Thanks for all of the support and love- love you guys!

    Hey huh, great video. My only advice is that you remove the shower cap to allow the steam to directly hit your hair. That's where the benefit comes in.

    Hi, I came across your channel and I must say, you have beautiful hair. I heard you say you put coconut oil in your hair. Do you wash ot out or leave it in and how often do you apply it?

    • @DenaJ

      Hey-thanks so much for your kind words.
      I don't use coconut oil as much these days. If/when I do use it, I would place it in my deep conditioner, as opposed to using it to seal my hair.

    Your hair is very beautiful and I liked your youtube channel. I am from Curacao, also from the Caribbean ☺☺. My hair doesn't feel soft when I apply the coconut oil as an sealant. I use it only as prepoo. I normally used argan and castor oil.

      Hey Sis❤️ Coconut is that oil that just messes with us all the time. I mix up my use of it often. Some days it makes my hair soft and shiny, other times, it tends to dry out my hair... Smh. But I can't get rid of it 🤦🏾‍♀️

      @@DenaJ ok, ok 🤣🤣. What's your opinion regarding olive oil?

    • @DenaJ
      @DenaJ  3 года назад +1

      Ahahaha. I don't use it as a sealant. .. I use it in my DCs... There was a video I saw on YT about which oils are best for DCs and which are best as sealants - ruclips.net/video/hLbAbrmwwak/видео.html Check it out... It gets super technical 😩 But the logic/science makes sense so I'm trying it out to see...

    I would love to try these brands but products in Trinidad 🇹🇹 are so expensive. The as I am leave in conditioner is $150 alone. Buying good products cost over $1000.

      I totally understand. They're pricey in Montserrat as well. *sigh

    Enjoyed the video! But I don't think steaming with a shower cap does anything different than using a blowdryer to steam. Potentially less effective actually.

    • @DenaJ
      @DenaJ  3 года назад +1

      I tried steaming without the cap, but didn't notice a drastic change though. But your point is taken and very valid.

      Hey Hun. It took me a while.. Lots of setbacks which means, lots of cutting. You can check out my Hair Journey video for a more detailed answer - ruclips.net/video/uLvYPDYpSQM/видео.html

    Why do you use a t-shirt... Rather than a towel when drying your hair?

    • @DenaJ
      @DenaJ  3 года назад +3

      The grains of the towel, or the fibres of a towel are more likely to snag at your hair.. The smooth cotton fabric of a t-shirt is a gentler alternative. But they have microfiber towels now which are becoming quite popular-those also work much better than a regular towel.
