I see other influencers who flat iron their hair AFTER the roller set and it never made sense to me to add even more heat with the flat iron after spending so much time with the roller set. Thank you Tanya. I am not about the double heat on my hair 😀so this method works excellent for my hair I have been doing it this way for years now and it comes out this way every time. The key is to ensure that the hair goes onto the roller smoothly and you are using the right products for your hair type as long as anyone does that they will get the same result. Another way to get the same result is to wrap the hair and tie it with a scarf and sit under the dryer for 5 minutes and get the same result.
I think some people don't want the double heat of blow drying and flat ironing so they rollerset and flat iron instead especially if you have a lot of new growth then air drying and flat ironing doesn't get the job done. I do think it's a little weird though, lol.
Your rollerset came out really well. I air dry after a relaxer for the first 8wks, 8-12wks blow dry on cool then regular heated blow dry for the remaining 12-16wks. During those last weeks before a relaxer I keep my hair stretched to lessen breakage and tangles. 💜

Yes whenever, you air dry your hair you will need a little added moisture and this is because your cuticles are still opened. The moisturizer will help smooth the cuticle layer thus giving the hair a More moisturized look. I love how your hair turned out. I relax my hair every 10 weeks and I blow dry my hair. I used to air dry but I realized that my hair doesn’t look as shiny as I like it without adding a lot of moisturizer. My hair is very thick and healthy according to my hair dresser. I don’t experience much breaking, shedding or split ends. So blowing it works for me😊

When I get out from the dryer I feel like my face has aged 20 years. So then I started covering my face with a towel to keep the heat away from my face. But I never did like the dryer, I gave mine away. It was so cute pink and white. But I couldn’t do it anymore.

I have been using it every week more for the sake of my scalp, so far it has been working I have no flakes and no itching. However, before this change I would only use it once per month.
