GmanLives did a good explanation on how this was resi inspired from inventory management and enemies responding when you leave the room, to the door and stair sounds when you travel to different areas. It wears its inspirations on its sleeve but it's not necessarily a Resident Evil reskin

You have to an actual 4 year old to think this game is scary. The scariest thing about this game is how tedious it is. And the the constant voices is so fucking annoying.
Good thing it's not trying to be, there's no grimdark evil deep tuber bait lore. It's a happy feel good story with resident evil elements and muppets chasing you in a friendly way. You even help them out and make friends.
