Yeah... as someone looking at their first major snow with a move to Idaho and a little stressed about a 60 yard driveway, I was looking for something a little less "commitment" than a UTV with a snowplow out of the gate, and this thing looks like the ticket. When he started up Amazing Grace, it was a sign :)

Great video. I am back watching and getting ready for another winter season. Amazing grace was my beloved mother, who is no longer on this side of the vale, favorite song. Miss her greatly. Good thing you went with a two-stage instead of a three-stage snow blower. Most who own them sell them after one season. Your TB two stage performs exceptionally well in that deep snow. Love watching it perform. Have a safe and blessed winter.

It’s the best bang for your buck 420cc you can buy. I’m always seeing a ton on market place for under 600. The joystick is sick, I wanna see it under prolonged use though. We run a 359cc cub 3x which is like the little brother machine. Basically a MTD. Very impressed with their 420 cc it looks to be a monster

FINALLY snow thrower video with heavy snow removal! to many videos showing 2-6 inches of snow being thrown was impressed by your monster snowblower way more than I need but still. just recently retired from FEDEX after 38 yrs as a ASE certified master MECHANIC not a tech... moved up hereb to the snow belt & after 1 winter of shoveling snow I've decided to buy a snow blower quick question though is it a 4 cycle engine or 2 cycle (2 cycle you mix oil in the gasoline)?

This is a 4 cycle. Annual oil changes required :)

I bought a Troy-Bilt to replace an old John Deere. (Impeller Rod bent, and the part is no longer sold at John Deere.) Whoever at MTD decided to add the option of electric start, I thank them. It's been going strong for nearly 10 years. Only thing that broke was the adjustment lever for the chute, but it's not that big of a concern. Why I'm sharing this no idea. Just a love for Troy Bilt.

What I wouldn't give to not only have a nice smooth driveway to clear but also the room around it to just throw the snow as far away as possible. I have a long, narrow, gravel driveway with hardly any land on either side of it. I have to fight my blower over big rocks and loose gravel while aiming the snow so it only goes a few feet. Sucks. But I do love my 30" Troy-Bilt. It's been going for 13 years now with no trouble at all.

Great video! Your TB machine made quick work of all that snow. Love that joystick shoot control, hopefully it holds up in the long run. Also loved the music you played while blowing snow. Just ordered a new machine for this up-coming winter season. Won't get it until early fall. I decided to go with a Toro Power Max HD 1232 OHXE. Hopefully it holds up well, because I have a large area to snow blow. Blessings to all who bear the elements and get the job done.

7 years ago my cheap cousin laughed at me when I got a 26" 3 stage Cub Cadet for $1,300. He told me I'd be ok with a $300 machine like his(he buys one every 3 years). I've made at least all my money back here NYC charging people (except elderly) $20 to do their front of property (only 20-25 feet x @4feet) I just sold it last week for $900 to get the largest most expensive Cub Cadet 34" 3 Stage. So of the $3,048 I used the $900 from one I sold and this machine will pay for itself again. I have large lot and corner property and was time for upgrade.

I've owned two brand new Troy-Bilt snow blowers within the past 5 years and each one blew through rings after only two years of use. I thought the first one was just a case of one bad apple so sold it and bought another new one. Two years later it was smoking like an old car. I'm very diligent about servicing and keeping clean, fresh oil in the machines but it didn't help. No more Troy-Bilts for me.

It’s possible gas drips through the carb, when the blower is off and parked… that thins the oil lubrication… ( and ruins rings). my 14 yr old John Deere, with a massive gravel driveway, (200+ ft), since new, I’ve ALWAYS manually shut off my gas when my job is complete, so the carb and engine, basically runs out of gas…

The weird thing about this model if you look up the specifications.
IT SAYS IT ONLY THROWS THE SNOW UP TO 30 FT!! For a 420cc engine which is probably around 10 horsepower And for the size and money spent. That is just weird and unacceptable.
Even a Toro cheapest gas model throws the snow 40 to 45 ft.. I think they're 30-in model throws up to 50 ft or more..
    That's just very bizarre..
Shows you their design is not very efficient...
