      Reminds me of the 1991, Halloween blizzard in Minnesota. It snowed 31” in 12 hours. Took my neighbor and I 6 hours to do his driveway and mine, and that was with a Jacobsen 36” 8hp blower. This video brings back old memories. Great video-I think. 😆

      ya, really! it seems like 95% of othe snowblower videos on youtube these days are all MTV style music video productions. And it's not really music either, it's just cheap computer generated noise which is so annoying I have to hit the mute button on all of them. This video was quite refreshing and renewed my faith in the human species.

    I sometimes stop and think about how different people can be. The people in our community here in Norway mostly hire a snow clearing service and pay huge amounts for this "chore". I literally cannot imagine not doing it myself. It's one of the best parts of winter. Even when I'm sick with the flu, I always feel better afterwards. It's great excercise and keeping those cuts sharp is a matter of pride!

Note : That sky is about as blue as blue can get. Isn't it great how clear and crisp the air is after a huge snow storm? Here in north-central Minnesota (USA), we only get a huge snowfall about once every 15-20 years and it's more like 18" - 24". I only remember 1 in the past 35 years that hit over 25".

    • @ColdSaintNick
      @ColdSaintNick 9 дней назад

      @0n596 He said its in the description wolf garten it's based on a MTD design. Modern Tool & DIE company manufactured snow blowers for alot of different brands they all had some little changes between brands i guess to make it seem different for the brands that sold them. They had a very good design at a affordable price 90s to earlier 2000s was better quality they started to go cheaper as time went on like everybody else. But still a decent machine for the price. Just like Timpmludoon said video proved THAT.

    Bought this for my small back deck in the Eastern Sierra. ruclips.net/user/postUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN We get A LOT of HEAVY snow so I was a bit skeptical but it was worth it! After the first storm of the year this has exceeded expectations! It throws snow very well, even 10-12” + that said the more it piles up the harder it is to maneuver the machine. It is exceptionally light weight and overall exactly what I was looking for. If you have a large amount of snow and a lot of area to clear, you may consider something with a drive engine to help maneuverability, but for decks, second stories, roofs etc, you can’t beat the light weight to great snow throwing ratio. Side note, the chute rotator is a bit flimsy and it initially didn’t seem to work, after a few uses it seems to have loosened up.

    Good job! With these tools and weather conditions, it's not that hard, even enjoyable (if you don't do it often!). ChatGPT and I estimated the cleared area to be ~40 m long, ~2.5 m wide, and ~0.7 m deep. So, at a minimum, the total weight of snow you cleared that day is ~14,000 kg, as Chat estimated. Or even more!

    This is why I own a Kubota diesel tractor with a 54” front mount snowblower, here in Vermont. I even put a soft cab on it so I can stay nice and warm and don’t get covered with snow. I clear my own steep, gravel driveway and also two of my neighbors’ for a small fee, to offset the diesel fuel and the wear on my tractor. I’d have this job done in 10-15 minutes tops.
    PS - at least this guy knows how to play the game. Always blow with the prevailing wind.

      If I would have taken it easy on this driveway it probably would have taken me 5-6hrs as well. But I knew I would have to work in super low light in the end. That's why I wanted to get it done as quick as possible.
      This job definitely challenged both me and the machine. I'm super happy about the result here on RUclips as well, all the nice comments just give me more motivation to keep going 🤠

    Wow, what a good neighbor!!!! Between the neighbor to my north, and one across the street, we three keep the driveway of my widow neighbor to the south clear all winter long. But, we have NEVER encountered a challenge such as shown here. Her 30' X 40' driveway, plus 100' of sidewalk, with 12" of snow, takes maybe, twenty minutes to clear, or maybe thirty-five minutes for COPD me. After seeing this, I am humbled, but I am curious what the real elapsed time was for the whole job.

    Tolle Arbeit! Schön zu sehen wie gut sie das mit der Wolf Schneefräse erledigt haben. Ich bin sehr überzeugt von den Schneefräsen aus dem Hause Wolf bzw MTD! Die Schneefräsen machen gute Arbeit und bieten eine ordentliche Qualität und ein gutes Preis-Leistungs Verhältnis! Ich hatte jahrelang eine MTD M61, diese hat gute Arbeit geleistet und war stets zuverlässig! Nun habe ich mir eine große Schneefräse aus dem selben Hause gekauft, eine Wolf Ambition SF 76E! Mehr braucht man wirklich nicht! Ich kann nur müde lächeln über Leute die glauben sie müssten sich eine Honda Schneefräse für 4000€ kaufen! 😂😂😂

    • @chrisworkandmachines
      @chrisworkandmachines  Год назад +1

      Ja, die Schneefräse (die Kleinere) hat wirklich sehr gute Arbeit geleistet und hatte mich auch nie im Stich gelassen. Auch wenn es hier in den Kommentaren stellenweise heisst, dass die Fräse das nicht aushält hat sie wirklich keinerlei Anzeichen darauf gemacht.
      Die Kleine ist nun allerdings verkauft. Ich hoffe ich bereue die Entscheidung nicht - die jetzige ist natürlich ein gutes Stück schwerer. Da ich sie gebraucht gekauft habe, bin ich gespannt, wie sie läuft.
      Und nein... ich würde auch keine Schneefräse für so viel Geld kaufen!

    Put your side putters on. Drift cutters.and Angel in. cut the sheet burm. The snow will fall in and the worm can grab it. As long as the very top of the shoot is open it can get rid of it. A good snow blower you can bury with just 2 inch of the shoot sticking out and the side cutters visible.

    Wow, impessive job done! So efficient and smart way to do the job👍👍When I watch it I wished you a bigger blower with tracks, would have made the job a lot easier. But you got it done real well anyway💪🏻💪🏻A heavy tracked blower will not seek up when you hit compressed hard snow, but push straight thru. And also go full width. Anyway, I salute you👊🏻Really good camerajob as well👌

      @@chrisworkandmachines I agree totally! And myself I do really enjoy blowing snow a lot. Feels purposeful and almost like a good meditation. Focusing how to get the job done well. I do not have a huge property to work but do have a enough ground both at home and at my cabin in the mountains of Norway to work my machines. Check out my latest blower videos if you want. Both my machines are crazy good. The one at home not so expensive. Cheers!

      Could you explain 'tracks'? You mean as opposed to tires? because i had one with tracks (like a tank) and it kept slipping. now i have one with tires but it doesn't plow thru 24 inch snow. it just tips up.

    • @dagjohnsen
      @dagjohnsen Год назад

      @@vf3289 Hi, if you have very icy conditions wheels with studded chains are the best for grip. I use that at home where it is very icy. But other than that tracks give better traction and go straight thru deep snow or harder snow without the blower seeking to lift in front. So much less workload for the operator.
