Very cool to see innovation to push the hobby farther. I know if i had one of these to fly at my local Metro Drone Park, I could excite 100 people rather the 1 or if lucky 2 that watch me fly. I plan on making signs for passing traffic to welcome them to ask me questions in the hopes to spawn a few to get in to it. I'm working on how to get together a spectators room with a tv in it with shaded sides, unfortunately, the receiving equipment I have is much to inferior to get the job done. Soon, though... I like what your doing and look forward to what comes next!

Arm airfoils would be a great lens or diffuser for LED's. They worked well for my SkyJib back then. Your design work is spot on and hopefully pulls others into the larger FPV platforms, keep it up guys. Rotor On CM crew!
They are our future weapons. That revs out hard. The rest is up to your brain to cope with that speed. I wonder how fast we can make them go before our brain cannot keep up. Love the build. I have round arms on mine and it goes fast too but I haven't done FPV yet
I think we're already at that point. I don't think a person exists who's flying any of these drones to their maximum potential. I don't see anyone reverse diving smokestacks while flyng upside down out of the bottom blind with 3d mode
Very impressive beast! Is there a reason you do not use diamond shaped carbon fiber arms as opposed to adding the TPU air foils to the existing square arms?
What about the trust losses if you mount the props and motors under the arms and have the air being pulled past the arms, vs pushed against it.. I made a 5” quad like with bottom motors and props, years ago, and I really liked the way it flew.
Looks nice and I like the ambition you guys put in to your frames. About the arms. What is the reason you went for square tubes instead of round tubes? I can imagine the round tubes are more aerodynamic compared to the square tubes. Making the extra TPU parts unnecessary and saving weight (round tubes are also stronger). Just curious about the design choises you made and the reason behind it. Keep up the good work!
@@KoreFpv We've been keying tail booms since the early 80's with no issues. Even my 1100 mm multirotors are all keyed. Heck, my weedeater is keyed... nothing complicated. It's just common sense.
Sawed off xclass is where it's at if you dont fly in competition. Just pointless weight and size made easier to break and less agile for no reason if a league is not what you use a quad that can swing a 24in prop with a 13in prop for.

one of the main problem of round arm is that they can twist in a crash and the mount are complicated

wouldn't it make sense to do a collective pitch design for one of these, because you have the space and weight freedom of the bigger props?
I think going collective pitch would complicate the design and when you crash it, it would be a lot more to go wrong which could get costly.
they are expensive anyways
and I think variable pitch propellers perform better at varible speeds

Any FC that we use in our 5" quads will also work for this frame. Its the PDB that is specifically made for X-Class and its 12s setup.
so if the drones Are this size I think Drone racing would be more interesting.

Why do you have a video of a 'bigger quad that can be seen' and then fly it FPV?
It's still FPV racing.. but you want Spectators to be able to see what is going on (otherwise there won't be spectators)
