Motorola Solutions Unveils Next Step in TETRA Systems and Radios

- If you think TETRA radio communications technology is outdated and that broadband technology will solve all of your critical communications issues, I am afraid you are wrong. Many organisations around the world are using TETRA technology for their mission critical voice communications since early 2000 and today, manufacturers like Motorola Solutions are still continuing to invest in this reliable, secure and safe communications technology.
In this Vlog I'd like to take you with me visiting MotorolaSolutions during TCCA Critical Communications World 2024 Dubai, where the company introduced the next step in TETRA communications by launching a new TETRA radio and brand new infrastructure.
The highlights in this video include the new DIMETRA™ Connect solution (presented by Katrin Reitsma) and MXP660 TETRA device (presented by Stuart Longley) that allow front-line responders to automatically switch between land mobile radio ( LMR) and broadband infrastructure. FYI... Dual-mode radio are there since a while in the market. DMR/PoC.
We are using Dimetra R8.2 and need to be upgraded with the latest radio.... suggest please
It's very interesting to see Motorola presenting the Tetra, whose advantages are extraordinary, and how they are incorporating LTE technology. I liked seeing many women presenting, including Motorola's director. However, I believe they should focus on competing with ideas and leave behind the politics of awakening, which does so much damage to brands. They should try to stay as far away as possible from cases like Bud Light.
Living in the United States, it is funny to hear Motorola say they are committed to Tetra.
I can imagine that. Note that TETRA is the go-to technology for public safety communications in the rest of the world (Outside the U.S)
