You are one of the good honest dealers, there are some that don't touch a car after buying it from auction, they get it, wash it, and stick a grand or two on top, and people will buy them, you have pretty high standards and I would buy a car from you with my eyes closed, ❤
We bought a 12 plate Vauxhall Corsa from Prees a few week ago, same principle, a couple of issues, both sorted for less than £10 ourselves, but would have put others off. Its since done 1,500 miles and has not missed a beat. We live 10 mins from the auction if you ever get into bother with anything.
Whenever you've been to the auction when your leaving give the gate man a box of biscuits .....there'll be know more problems .......grease the wheels 😉
The Gate man was brilliant 👏 really funny 😂😂😂and made this video. I reckon he deserves commission in the form of a Cuppa and a Bacon n Egg Barm, Just remember to get a Barm for the Barmy man 😂😂😂😂.
There will be enough dodgy garages doing that. I'm looking for a car atm the amount of sheds I've seen from dealers. I was going to buy a car the other day and the guy turned round about said there's no warranty after I said I'd have it and wrote across the invoice engine and gearbox requires attention he said that's to cover ourselves so you can't use the 6 month consumer law warranty against us. I walked out of there fast. What a way to grenade a sale and tell the customer what you think of them.
I got sold a Fiat 500 by a dealer and he never told me the gearbox bearings and clutch were bad £800 bill i faced but i will tell you a tip , Get the Motoring Ombudsman involved they wrote to the Dealer and he paid £400 towards the repairs , that was the best i could get as otherwise id have had to go through small claims court , lesson learnt never buy from dealers , buy privately as at least that way you know most normal people will not be selling you a lemon also bring a mobile mechanic with you only £50 they charge for inspection and it will save alot of headaches
@@Cayres9 £50 for every car though will still mount up because people are liers the amount of cars I've been to see described as excellent condition bodywork and they've been dogs. One had orange peel on most panels and yet they'd described it as in very good condition for the age of the vehicle. How is orange peel good condition, the only way to make that car look better is a full respray or go mad max and paint it with bed liner lol.
@@davidrmcmahon This garage wanted me to pay part cash and the were only putting the price of the car on the invoice the amount that was going on card. You know for a fact the tax man isn't finding out about the cash part.

meaby the Jag would be good for retaling to show how to sell a sort of neglected low spec (non Sport) Jag and it has til 3 liter diesel going for it that can be good content and that's the kind of content that brings in subscribers and remember to tell people to like, subscribe and "ring the bell" at the start of the video
Really good at busting myths on this channel, good video. Look forward to the Jag video. Maybe make Sunshine the gate-man a recurring character on here.
My i10 clutch has gone twice in the last 10.000 miles. I love it had it since new. 12 years. Lacquer went on mine as it’s the special wax I had when brought and it’s last about 8-10 years. Apart from servicing its cost me just on the clutch 80.000 happy miles
Peugeot diesels (and Citroens) are great, very economical and reliable. I purchased a couple of vans for my company, pretty reliable, a Partner and an Expert, no trouble with either of them. Both had done over 120K miles when sold on, once I'd ceased trading and sold them on.
I'd like to believe all traders are as diligent as your good self when it comes to prepping cars.....but I doubt it. Love watching your content for your extensive knowledge. Im probably after a " get me to work and back " car in December. My 2008 kia proceed ( 2.0 crdi ) has lost its electric power steering and kia want £2300 for the whole steering column as you cannot buy the power steering motor separate. I've tried everything else. So your channel is giving me s good and educated insight towards my next buy. Probably an aygo/c1/107. I now know what to be looking for and if your forecourt was closer ( im in Pontefract) id certainly be looking at your website. many thanks for these videos. I've subscribed
You`ve probably answered this before , but can you explain how we often get told that cars " lose 50% in their first 3 years " , but when you come to buy one they are MUCH closer to the original retail price ? We are looking for a Seat Ibiza for our daughter and a 2017/18 plate is still £9k for a car with average mileage that was only £13k when brand new , 7 years ago. ie it`s only lost a third in 7 years , not half in 3 years. Thanks.
3 nice purchases there Lee....I can see that Pug making a nice car, actually liked the interior and the sunshine roof. I had an 08 Fiesta with the 1.6 TDCI engine which I believe was the same engine. Much better to drive than the 1.4. i10 looked cheap too, especially with the miles. Not managed to bag an i10 yet. All the best pal 👍
Hi Lee..My 2012 Honda Civic failed MOT on both suspension arms.. Mechanic i use has bought a few arms from various parts dealers but is struggling to fit due to new ball joint which is attached to new arm not fitting..ball joint srm seems to be smaller..Any suggestions or advice? Thanks
Whomever thought diamond cut wheels were a good idea?! My wife's car was only 18 months old (toyota) and they started to oxidise under the lacquer, I've never seen any that are perfect - unless they're new.. Right pain
Guys why are auto trader valuations massively less than what’s actually on auto trader? I’m struggling to see how this makes these cap clean prices at auction viable?
