@LuckyGarageUSA It might make a good short which might bring more eyes to the new style, which by the way looks sick. The c5 community has needed a good looking static headlight for far too long. Fantastic work.
I was sceptical, but this guy pulled it off! His lighting kit looks bitchin’. I’m 73, and old school, but I think they look great. Great idea from a really sharp mind
This is a good solution for C5’s that are tracked. Popups are worthless and frog eyes are ugly. While these may add some weight, I’m sure for the purpose of racing, some pods can be removed to decrease weight.
this is my first time seeing your content, and frankly I don't have a C5 now but I sure as hell wish I did. the lights look amazing. I hope you nail that number quick and can move forward with a better production time.

I did straight line as the original prototypes and it just didnt flow well, it looked off. It wasn't until 5 revisions later that I decided to add curvature to the line and it flowed so much better. Thank you for the kind words man, If you dont have any haters, youre not doing anything right!! am i right??

Bro the car gods sent me your way...great work keep doing what your doing and definitely patent your design / kit!
Thank you dude!! That was my exact thought process too😂 i hope you secure a kit then! The c5 is my favorite. It's much sleeker than the c6. It just doesn't look as aggressive which is a big reason why I designed this kit!
Dont get me wrong i love my KnightDriveTv headlights but if this was on the market at the same time a couple years back i would have picked these beautiful headlights in a heartbeat.
thank you! i love my knightdrives too and ran them for a while. I just have been wanting to make these for awhile! I still have my knightdrives, and may put them back every now then if i ever feel like im missing my pop ups!
I like em, good job, they look better than most of the aftermarket lighting solutions for that car. Keep the branding, you have obviously worked hard on this, get the credit.
I just found this channel and subscribed. I plan on getting a C5 soon. I subscribed because I see what you did to your car and you are making products yourself! I really like the lights too.
Liked and subbed. I'm an old guy (46 lmao) who has a plane jane C5 Z06 LE and would never add these to it. But, I would add these all day to any other C5 and smile. Hell of a good design and I really like your materials choices and finishes you mentioned. This is not cheap to make this all work. Congrats to you my Man!
@@LuckyGarageUSA I re-read my fist comment and it came out wrong. I meant to say that my Z is not modded in any form so I wouldn't do these lights. I haven't modded it because it is a Lemans edition and, well, I shouldn't have bought it. lol I want to mod the heck out of it and shouldn't. the logo will look a little nicer on the final product, ill admit, the logo on the prototype was kind of just pasted on there. itll have bezeled edges, itll look nicer
Just my damn luck, I read & viewed this page just as the pre-order closed this saturday weekend. Ive had a minor issue with my stock driver headlight staying up abit and not flush and i have to flip the switch a few times and/or adjust the knob., Ive done the re-assembly with the newer motor & metal wheel and all that but just want to move on to newer headlights that i dont need to be concerned with flipping up or down and closing all the way-driver side, passenger side always works as it should- this style of street reaper headlight is pretty sweet imo, hope i can oder in white in 2025 and it will be a simple & easy conversion process. I like to do upgrades and make the car stylish but dont enjoy any complex modification that will leave you scrating your head with new parts.
So, to answer my question on the pricing. Does the $729.00 include both driver side light and passenger side light. 1 Kit with both lights? Just let me know. Thanks
I'm intrigued! Couple questions... Any pictures with the finished product including the clear lens? How will it attach to the housing? Are the lights waterproof and require a clear lens? Can these be made without the clear lens maybe reducing cost and parts? Has there been any tests done to see how UV resistant the clear lens will be to fading/cracking? You mentioned the ability to adjust the housings within the hood/fender/bumper opening, but what is the method to aim the lights once the housing is positioned for best fit?
Hey smitty, if you check the website i have a render on the product page showing the plastic cover. You can run them with or with out the lens cover, its personal preference. the lights them selves are sealed and waterproof. I currenty make my clear tail light lenses from the same plastic and it hasnt yellowed in 4 years. As far as aiming lights go, i will provide a how to in the installation video. its pretty simple. you line up the cover, and then remove it, then adjust the lights to the markings you'll make on the wall, then put the cover back on, verify everything and youre done!
@@LuckyGarageUSA Good stuff. It's nice to know the lights are waterproof. I like the no lens look, almost McLaren 720S-ish styling. How would the lens attach to the lid? I see the two screws on the sides, but I didn't see any fasteners etc for the lens to stay on. What about incorporating a stud to the bottom of the lid that passes through the lower housing outer flange and use a nut/fastener on the bottom so you don't see those two screw heads? Also, if not running the lens then you could remove that recessed front edge for the lens to sit flush and maybe clean up the look. I like the no lens idea...simplifies things while also being different than anything on the market. My other observation would be that they would hold water due to the cupped design of the lower housing if not running a lens. Not a huge deal, could maybe add a drain hole if needed. Kudos on the design. I have run the 4eyeC5 setup and now the KnightdriveTV setup and I'm getting annoyed with the pop up jiggle. Liked the idea of a fixed headlight but the offering from SharpLight was pretty pricey and I wasn't sold on the look of a full lens headlight on a C5. I think this kit is a blend of both.
@ Hey Smitty. There will be lower anchors you can install should you decide you want to run a a lens cover. Its not mandatory so I didnt want to put more holes than necessary. You just run longer screws through it all to reach the anchors. And there will be rubber grommets to install as well. I appreciate your thoughtfulness and the insights! I'm glad you like the kit

@LuckyGarageUSA I'm 6'6" 😬 I fit in more sport compact imports than American sports cars. I read a reddit post where a 6'6" guy fit in one. I'll start shopping around.
@@LuckyGarageUSA nice! was hopin you were local to me lol. Used to live in Houston (Missouri City). Ordered a C5 badge today and looking forward to the headlights next year!
So, can the covers not be paint-matched from the order? We'll have to paint them ourselves or have a third party do it, right? On a side note, what rear spoiler is that? I need it!
Sick lights! But as a fellow Texan I have to mention another Texas company that has been around the Corvette world for a very long time: LG Motorsports. They might have issues with your branding.
@ you do understand that knightdrives replace only the light in a stock c5 housing right? Whereas this kit is an entirely new head light assembly top to bottom. New housing (from two pieces), new mounts, new bracket system, new hardware, new plugs, new etc. it doesnt use anything from the old headlights to work. The kdtv kit replaces 1 thing. So yes, this is very cheap. If you wanted to go buy new pop up head lights if you had nothing, the covers, motors, wiring, brackets, bolts, etc you'd spend 1200+ for stock stuff, much less including the kdtv parts.
WOW, I really like these and I actually prefer them over the Knightdrive pop-ups. Less moving parts means less likely to break. There is one thing I would recommend. I would find a way of hiding the two top mounted screws. Can they be countersunk with a plug insert to cover the screw heads? Aesthetically it would look nicer and reduce corrosion potential. I assume there are instructions with the kit, but I would suggest making an install video at some point. Lastly, for now I think the pricing is fair, but you will be able to get it down further as you refine your production and sourcing material and parts.
That's only because it's a pre production model..he stated that in the video. He also said final version will be injected molded and look a lot nicer. The black grooves in the light will be removed also.
These look so sick! Wish I could give up the pop-up headlights, it's so tempting. If you ever do a sleepy eye pop-up with these pods, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat; the beam looks so bright with a clean cutoff.
Just go back to driving rice, and leave the c5 alone. This is the answer to a problem that never existed.

I need it!
@@Ulfrborn correct! I can't offer these paint matched, there's just no way they'd match a car with 25 year old paint brother! And it's an EOS spoiler
I’m going to order.
sweet! let me know if you have any questions!
Wicked looking ride!!!
Thanks bro!!
Measure lumens? Would like to see low beam high beam patterns on a wall before ordering.
@@firstlast-yn4qg If you message me on Instagram, i can get that to you! @luckygarageusa
Sick lights!
But as a fellow Texan I have to mention another Texas company that has been around the Corvette world for a very long time: LG Motorsports. They might have issues with your branding.
im not sure. Lucky Garage is Lucky Garage. LG is also an electronics company brand. I don't think it would be any kind of real issue
the second you teased theses lights, i knew i had to get them! thank you for goin through the effort to produce theses for a reasonable price bro
haha awesome to hear that! so glad you like them! and thank you man, its been a trip for sure. Glad to hear your happy with everything
Double the cost of knightdrive is reasonable lmao
I absolutely love your c5 build. Definitely gonna use it as inspo when I buy another c5 in the future.
Appreciate the support man! Hope you get your hands on one too!
KD don't pop up they are fixed 1/2 open.
@@firstlast-yn4qg they are NOT fixed open
Dope ass intro. Love it. Thank you for the time you took to make these. I will definitely be getting them due to my pop ups not working
i appreciate the kind words man, thank you! really tried hard on this
These look so sick! Wish I could give up the pop-up headlights, it's so tempting. If you ever do a sleepy eye pop-up with these pods, I'd jump on it in a heartbeat; the beam looks so bright with a clean cutoff.
I appreciate that! I hear you on the pop-ups though, they are cool.
Great lookin kit 🤙
thank you!!! i really tried hard
