It's men at arms, they make SWORDS. You have to remember that the Dragonslayer is too big to be called a sword. To massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it's more like a heap of raw iron.
That's the joke.
I want to like this... but if I do it won't be at 69 anymore.
Got to admit though they did make a pretty good one
As a sword, it's a good one, but you can only kill 100 guys at night with it.
BUT that is NOT a dragon slayer...That's the mercenarie sword, gradon slayer is bigger, larger is like a piece of steel not a sword.
Originally they were going to make the actual dragonslayer sword, but they couldn't find an entire train on such short notice
Ahahhaahah good one man
@Hayden Tenno thats not possible
Just try to build a sword with 3 trains
Ohh still like 3 trains
HAHA nice man!
Goal: making the dragonslayer
Obstacle: Not enough hate and not enough iron in this world
Lmao
Not enough pans too😂

This sword is called Danbira, the broad sword Guts used until getting betrayed by Griffith. A bit smaller than the Dragon Slayer.
thank you mister japanese man
Venandi When Guts fought Zodd in Golden Age arc, he referred his sword as “Danbira,” which simply means broad sword. In the game “Berserk Musou,” the sword was named Danbira. You can tell that Dragon Slayer is bigger than Danbira from the art, and how Guts was amazed by its size when he found it and used it
*A bit*
Nah he lost this sword during the battle for Doldrey he has a few different swords before the Eclipse

@Mina Scarlet Griffith gave in to his demons. let his friends die. raped casca and forced guts to watch. in what way did he do nothing wrong
Mina Scarlet You want to say that again?
Davidson no in the first place guts really did the wrong thing, that's choosing his own ambitions first than his own friends and even casca, at the golden arc 2 I guess? He leaves Griffith and the and of hawk behind leaving Griffith sad and confused that why he literally fucked the princess leading the band of hawk accused because of the doings of Griffith.
In short, it is guts decision that made Griffith like that. That's why i love berserk because they showed that the protagonist can do wrong and very dark things and it is willing to change to make those things right
Nah not this one. He's still buddy buddy with griffith when he had this sword.
Griffith did everything wong

@@gamu1651 Yup, the author of Berserk, Kentaro Miura, passed away.
This is not Dragonslayer. It's actually Guts first sword in the Golden Age Arc of the story.
This "huge blade" is actually small compared to the "real" Dragonslayer.
Maybe I should ad something: I'm just pointing this out. I'm not bitching or complaning. It's still an awesome build, so thank you guys :)
I second this
Thank you. Glad someone else noticed it.
I knew i wasn't crazy for thinking the Dragonslayer was different.
I wonder if anyone will ever make the big one. I mean bigger one.
Yep, I was so hyped they finally did it and they fucked up TT_TT
NEEEEEERRRRD!!!!
Just imagine archaeologists in the future finding these massive weapons from anime and being so confused.
Kyle Gullick They'd probably think they were prototype weapons for the greatest of warriors. Assuming digital information doesnt survive 1,000 or more years in the future. Since guns havent been around for very long ( compared to swords) they would think guns were a discontinuity in human civilization.
imagine how confused people on a medival battlefield would be to see those animi swords.
Kyle Gullick They’ll read/watch Anime and just imagine they’re Documentaries on warfare.
Lol
i'd totally steal all their stock and bury them at random places just for that
'It was too big to be called a sword. Massive, thick, heavy, and far too rough. Indeed, it was a heap of raw iron.' Fuck yeah, Beserk!
That's what she said 😁😁
Jordan Sansbury what was she trying to say??
that's what the horse said
Now if only that WAS the dragonslayer sword that they made. That is only his greatsword from the Band of the Hawk arc. Also known as "His little sword."
Xelzeno It would probably be impossible without factory grade equipment.
It truly sad that you weren't able to create the actual Dragonslayer sword. However, it makes sense... 'That thing was too big to be called a sword. Too big, too thick, too heavy, & too rough, it was more like a large hunk of iron.'
this guy made it though: ruclips.net/video/pfOAgKA7h7g/видео.html
@@eji eh that sword isn't accurate though, I expect it to have more width and more gradual pointy in the end (in the video it seems like a rectangular and slim sword). There is a reason why everyone calls it "heap of iron".
Raw heap of iron*
I’m not sure of the original description, but it was forged cast iron and wasn’t generally sharp because of the mass of it.
With enough speed you can cut someone in half with a telephone pole.

C0D3X - It’s not nearly as thick as the real dragon slayer though.
So they don't have the _Guts_ to make a Dragonslayer...
Look up the real life specs of the Dragon Slayer. Suffice to say it lives up to it's name.
+moonphase hd nearly 400 pounds of steel, impractical and impossible for any normal human to wield
They should at least make a hollow Dragonslayer, that way it'd weight way less. Or give it an aluminium core, like they did on season one with the Buster Sword from FFVII. That would work and be pretty badass.
isnt dragon slayer much larger than the buster sword?
You do know they'd actually like to use the blades they make right?
If they actually made the Dragonslayer sword, it would just be an unwieldable, 400 pound hunk of iron
Lmao Fr they'd need a freaking machine to swing that shit
Sebadass MotM The True Dragonslayer is too big to be called a sword...it's simply a sharpened slab of metal.
maxspecs hah true, Like how they always mention it in the manga
SpooklordNito The Dragonslayer is not meant to be wieldable. It is mentioned many times in the manga that human's aren't supposed to be able to wield it, which is why by-standers always look on in awe and shock when they see that Guts (the protagonist of Berserk) can wield the thing so well. It would be tremendously more valuable if Man-at-Arms made an authentic Dragonslayer that is to the exact specification of the sword in the manga as it could be seen as the genuine article, and not some cheap imitation that has no value at all.
WackySwacky I know about the sword dude. I love Berserk. I'm just saying it would be pointless to make it, which you supported by saying that really only Guts can wield it. They had to get two people for the Buster sword. Dragonslayer Sword? They'd need a crane to pick the thing up

Yes! Honestly the dragonslayer is near impossible. More than happy with this amazing sword!

+Dylan Jackson thank you
if you want to see the actual dragonslayer build check out michaelcthulhu
There is no way they could make the Dragon Slayer to scale. Not with the usual way they make stuff. That thing is far too big and heavy. The only models I have seen made are smaller, (much thinner) copies, like what michaelcthulhu did.
Even this blade is smaller than the one in the manga. It is thinner at its widest, and already it is the largest blade they ever did. They made it clear that making the pre-dragonslayer blade was to date one of the most dangerous processes they have ever done.
Be glad they even did this much.
That was a fantastic build and you guys deserve all the credit in the world. As a Berserk fan I give you all nothing but respect. (However, we still want to see THEE Dragonslayer in the future if possible.)

Let's be honest, if they were to try and make the ACTUAL Dragonslayer, it'd be pretty much impossible to lift or fit into any of these machines.

My Profile Picture is by Hatomame, will all you perverts stop asking
Like your image)
My Profile Picture is by Hatomame, will all you perverts stop asking Wouldn't that be the point though? Since in the manga, Dragonslayer was mocked for its size and how its impossible to use by anyone.... that is untill GUTS picked it up.
deadmanslastwish the thing is, Godo forged it as a joke. they told him it needed to be able to slay a dragon, they said nothing about the fact that a human needed to be able to wield it. so Dragonslayer itself is litterally there because Godo woke up with a case of the fuckarounds that morning. Dragonslayer weighs like 600 pounds. noone ever could wield it. the physics just aren't there. having said that, Berserk is my favorite manga of all time, so I dont give a shit.
Tristan Berke Well, he made it as much a criticism to fancy pancy blacksmiths as a joke.
Like, all these guys trying to make overly stylised nobleman blades, and then he drops a truthbomb.
Also, I don't think it could quite account for 600 pounds with its measurements. Still, with its length, it would definitely start swing guts around if he slashed with it at a decent speed
you guys should make dragonslayer, it would be so cool

Saden Thunderhawk :/ neat
it only weighs 400 pounds maximum, noob. you would know that if you payed attention.
*_Amazing._* They did not just make something of similar shape, they actually made a usable sword.
Imagine what the blacksmith in the manga had to go through without the advanced technology these guys had. Must have costed Guts a ton of money to convince the blacksmith to do it.
Godo literally did it for guts for free
ninjadog123
Guts must have offered some kind of support. That's insane to do such a thing for free.
+extragirth64 it was preforged before Guts had come along, it's actually how it got the name "Dragonslayer", its original purpose was to slay a Dragon, but due to how it was built, no soldier could actually wield, except for Guts, who was given it after saving the Blacksmith's adopted grand daughter from a demon, thus replacing the sword made here as Guts's Primary weapon
The Blacksmith actually reforged the sword because Guts fucket it up by using against demons.
k but THAT'S IS NOT DRAGON SLAYER is mercenarie great sword. from golden age
Wait, "Pre-Dragonslayer"? Why not make dragonslayer?
*Looks it up*
OH. RIGHT. I forgot about that. Christ, you guys did an amazing job with this monstrosity of a blade. I wish I could get my hands on something like this, though it'd be more useful for strength training than fighting.
Or to replace chopping wood with an ax given that you have the strength required.
If they wanted to make the dragonslayer, they would of had to take the whole railway track, and then some, gone to one of those industrial forge processors that make tank plating, then have to hand design the LARGEST angle grinder and quench tank made for sword forging ever. It would of been impossible, even for the most skilled smithing team.
Stephen Flint How can you mix up of and have?
How much ill pay so much for this lol
TheGreatYukon its not for fighting in the sense of slashing and dashing, its meant for smashing bone and literally bisecting opponents. this is a one-hit-wonder kind of weapon, meant to either kill or cripple your foe in one blow
That sword is very devastating if someone with enormous power that can swing that sword easily just like guts.
Even if that sword is cool I'm feel cheated, Dragonslayer when?
It is likely too big and heavy to even be made. I mean, it's a 400 lb sword!
I'm Glad someone else knew that wasnt the dragonslayer . They just made his over sized Great sword which is nuts to begin with cause they difference in Gutz great sword and a normal one is normally a great sword is larger and thin to cut the weight almost around 10 to 14 pounds . Gutz Great sword is made as if it was intended to be a sword of that size so there is no cutting of weight if he was a giant it would look normal.
+BDL30 yeah but that's because it's an inch thick michael cuthulu made one that you can lift and swing but it's a quarter inch thick

Lots of people are confused about what sword was forged. Guts actually has wielded 6 or 7 different swords throughout the manga. The design they based this build off of was Guts' sword he used during his time as a Commander for the Band of the Hawks. It was also the sword he used in the 100 man fight where it was damaged. It never really had an official name. He stopped using this one after it broke towards the end of the golden age. After that he switched a more regal looking greatsword (which was only ever shown to be used in the 2nd Griffith fight). This is not the blade he used before the eclipse and is not the Dragonslayer.
Drewsafox I was actually looking forward to Zodd's blade and nearly shat myself when I read the title, opened it and realized what it really was, than nearly cried...
They referenced Berserk in Dragon's Dogma by having Guts' and Griffith's armor and weapons available. There, they called this one Thousandlimbs, which sounds pretty cool.

absolutely, I wouldn't listen to the complainers, I was actually happy to see this weapon over the dragonslayer because that weapon is basically just a huge hunk of metal. Gutz first weapon, is a MUCH better weapon to see made. Kids will complain and have no idea how much work goes into this.
***** The video does elaborate on the work going into the sword. I'd rather see the dragonslayer just for the sheer stupidity of scale. Kids complain about everything from wanting new technology to better/cheaper chemotherapy drugs so they don't go bankrupt paying for the good stuff. I always pat their heads and tell them to wait, you can't rush science.
Despite the fact that this is NOT really the Dragonslayer sword, you guys did an AMAZING job!!! The real thing would not have been able to be forged in this type of realistic smithy. Dragonslayer is like 4 times the seize of that thing... and i dont think a normal person could even lift let alone swing that monster... nice sword tho nevertheless
EXACTLY! The clip shows maybe 2 scenes of the Dragonslayer and the rest is the sword broken in one of the battles (where Griffis fucks the King that fucked him some time in the past). Dragon slayer is the GIGANTIC SWORD. The guy above has one translation of the quote but the meaning was that it couldn't be called a sword, it was just massive chunk of metal, it didn't have to be sharp just the mass of the sword plus the velocity while Guts was swinging it mate it deadly. It just ripped apart the armor, crushed into shreds. This sword and later in the manga his armor are the definitions of the the Guts character, swordstyle. This sword was just beggening, he used it but it wasn't Dragonslayer.
i think that's why they made this one and not the other they did say the posses alone was dangerous think how much danger they would be making one 4 times bigger?
mars god o war yeah I understand why they didn't made this ridiculesly huge sword... But then they shouldn't call it dragonslayer when it just isn't dragonslayer

Havel's Dragon Tooth is too op.
I would love to see them make a kirkhammer, that's my personal favorite weapon from Bloodborne, but it is very unlikely that they could make that with how heavy it would probably be and for it to actually work with attaching/detaching the sword, but if they could pull that off I would very happy, I would love it it they made the black iron Tarkus armor and shield from Dark Souls

The sheath to that may be a little tricky considering it has a modified gun attached to it for quick draw! XD but good choice all the same
MALICEM12
That's kinda why I want to see it done. I want to see a sword launched at things.
If it's made, it would easily be one of the coolest weapons ever made.
41solstice25 I doubt they would do what it actually does in the game, plus I'm not too sure bullets work that way, but they could make it pneumatic and use like a small air compressor in the sheathe. As for the blade itself, it's just a katana with a red blade
Chris Mckain
I'm sure projectileless canisters that fire and shortly eject from the side isn't that complicated of a mechanic. In fact, the difficult part would be making sure that it will launch the sword without blowing anything else out of proportion which would take some form of engineering of either internal suppression or a reliably safe ventilation of excess heat and force to assure nothing comes apart and nothing comes to any form of harm other than where the barrel of the sheath points.
The issue to the idea of the quick draw worth is deploying the ready blade without injuring the hand using it. Either the blade itself will have to catch projected heat and force of the deployment with minor flaps along the back of the sword for reasons of cutting potential or the hand simply needs to be protected enough with the deployment launching by intense force upon the top of the hand guard. (As well as make the hand guard more durable.)
41solstice25 I'm not saying it's complex mechanic, I simply don't think a bullet has enough strength to propel a full sized sword that's locked in place, since a katana in the sheathe can be turned upside down and not fall out. A very high caliber round might be able to but I seriously doubt it. How heavy do you think a Barret .50 bolt is? 2 pounds? 3 maybe? And the round has enough force to gently push that back enough to cycle another round when fired. Could the recoil from that throw a possibly 10-15 blade back without exploding the sheathe? Probably now. Go pneumatic, it'll take the possible burning part from firing a bullet, as well as the possibility of turning your sheathe into a hand grenade should the sword not move or if the dust cover fails to open out of the equation. This is coming from someone who fires the M4/M16 on a regular basis.
RIP Miura! A legend
That's not the DragonSlayer....*facepalm*
Yea, but if they actually made the Dragon Slayer, it would just be a chunk of steel with a wide edge on a grip that'd weigh 200 pounds. Should of left the "Dragon Slayer" out of the title and said Guts' "war" sword.
They wouldn't be able to lift the DragonSlayer.
Yeah dude I was thinking the same thing. I haven't read berserk in ages but I'm pretty sure the Dragon Slayer has the huge fuckoff ebony blade like 5 times wider than that.
Yeah the dragonslayer is huge like it would need to be hallow.
Im sure the guy who plays the mountain in game of thrones could at least get a swing out of it.
R.I.P Kentaro Miura
Thanks guys, amazing job!!!
If you remember the lore, Godo was commissioned to make a sword that could slay a dragon. However, he didn't believe dragons were real, so he made a weapon that couldn't be used to fight things that didn't exist. The mercenary great sword was actually a sword.
black knight haldberg from dark souls
*halberd...
+Jail Bait * Hamburg
*Undead Hamburg
+OfficerMarmalade *Undead Hamburgalar
+Prog47 that sword in the bonefire should be done, it's the symbol of DS
Wait a sec that's not the dragonslayer...that's gut's first sword
yeah, i thought the same thing. I think it would be impossible to move the dragonslayer out of the workplace without too much work, so they made this sword instead.
SpArTaN13ism Yeah I guess so, but the could have at least got the name right :/
I agree, that was disappointing.
PRE DRAGONSLAYER PRE PRE PRE
do you even read bra?
Make Lu Bu's spear from Dynasty Warriors
U mean halberd and yes do dat
This has to happen.
Yes
Lu bu's Sky Piercing Halberd -has- to happen!
Please make this happen, this is gonna be sick :D
OF COURSE THEY CAN'T R-E-A-L-L-Y DO THE ACTUAL DRAGONSLAYER; IT'S TOO BIG AND TOO HEAVY; IT'S LIKE A GIANT SLAB OF IRON; THE BIGGEST SWORD EVER USED IN COMBAT WAS ONLY 16 pounds!!
New3DSLUIGI364 Actually it was 14 😂
Btw sorry for being late
False, a claymore of 10kg was used in battle by a certain clan but historical accounts. But still that’s nowhere near the size of this or dragon slayer.
New3DSLUIGI364 hey I know im really late but these guys made the buster sword that's bout the same size
Rem kanji no where as heavy though dragonslayer is 400 plus pounds and is about 7 ft
MLG Batman the buster sword was supposed to be around the same size and weight but they still made it
> Make Guts' dragonslayer
> Guts Dragonslayer any1
> Please make guts dragonsword
> Making Golden Age Arc sword
> "We're making this huge Berserk sword happen"
okay
That is a 400+ lb sword. It would literally require inhuman strength to use
sure, it's understandable, but still the screens were rather wrong
"The Mountain"
+Jamie Iain Genovese The Mountain would still have trouble trying to lift the darn thing off the ground. He would only lift it up a few inches til he gives up.
+Chippy Ahoy_! My bad, he'd only do a few reps til he gives up.
Rip Maestro Miura
Not enough *clang*
Your dedication is frightening
Durandal from Highschool DxD!!!!
Shaka kuchiki that would be sick. hell a lot of swords from that series would be awesome to see.
Durandal plss
Shaka kuchiki Pls!!!
Mugens's sword from Samurai Champloo.
I agree! I bet they could make a beautiful Typhoon Swell. They'd just need to include the hidden tanto and use something that mimics the grip's white sharkskin cover.
I would suggest that too but they've already done enough katana style blades. It would be the same process during the video as all the others.
"so no clang?"
* smashes phone *
Power up the bass cannon!1!
@@danolix What rings u got?
this was so wicked i must have that sword
Now you have to make Guts' second sword "The Dragon Slayer"
Too big to be called a sword
Yeah its just a heap of raw iron
sound like every person guts has killed lol
Ivy's Whip Sword from Soul Calibur... impress me !
Oh hai Benzaie. Good to see you from somewhere other than Channel Awesome.
That would be dangerous to swing around.
yes whip sword of ivy or nightmare's sword...
Retracted=freaking cool.
Extended=watch your back
I've been requesting this build since the first few episodes of the Tony days. Glad to see it getting some upvotes!

"Unable to use this item effectively with present attributes"
Nevertheless, this was cool and the process of making it was interesting
They should have contacted a powerlifter or strongman to swing it, would have been cool
Dawg is a time traveler 💀

This is not the dragon slayer, But It's Still Badass. I Love It
it's because it isn't, read the word "pre-"
I think it would be great if you guys could forge Mihawk's sword, the "Yoru," from One Piece.
Insert Typical Username Here or zoros three swords(i wanna see how they do the patterns)
Eh, it could work, but Mihawk's sword is kinda cooler.
This, or Youmu's Roukanken from Touhou.
commander frostwolf
Like, making the patterns of different types of steel, rather than "painting" them... Would be so AWEsome ;)
i was thinking the same thing about mihawk's sword
I think so
the dragonslayer weighs 400lb and you guys want them to make it? 😂😂😂
gunnerliam1 yes
pretty sure its heavier then that
Its the pre dragonslayer sword
@Sanguine Regis No it's not, realistically it should weigh approximately 20 kilos, and if you dont know, even the bigger swords used in medieval times were 4 kilos at max.
@New Shadez He said that maybe the dragon slayer weighs more than 400 pounds, where in the manga it is stated that the sword weighs approximately 400 pounds.
Then i added the information that if someone was to make a dragonslayer sword it will weigh approximately 20 kilos.
I wasnt talking about the sword in this video either.
Guys. Thank you so much for making this sword.
It is truly a testament to your craftsmanship.
When the Dragon Slayer is just too absurd that even Man at Arms can't replicate it.
To be honest, I prefer the Golden Age Arc sword to the Dragon Slayer. So I really liked this build. Also, I've seen other build videos where they machined the whole thing, no disrespect to those other guys, but it was awesome to see an actual full tang *forged* blade. Kudos!
Roronoa Zoro's 3 katanas from One Piece
Yes Zorros Katanas!
Zorro! One piece!
Yes do that
I'd way rather see them try to make Hawkeye Mihawk's black sword that sliced the mountain of ice
Troy Teague That's better idea!
The way he grunts when swinging the sword sounds like Guts already
Yea i want to see Soul Reaver from Legacy of Kain too :)
BarbaricPanda191
Patience is a virtue 8) I also requested it few episodes ago 8)
I want it too Is the best sword !!!!
I asked for this one back when it was Tony. I still need to see this made!
SOUL REAVER!
ive asked for this on the past 7 videos
now asking again. Do The Soul Reaver
I applaud you guys for this build, even if the weeaboos say that this is not the real dragon slayer (because the real one will be a giant slab of steel with no possible way to wield it) making it from a train rail was sick and amazing, you never stop to impress me. You really make fantasy become reality
Want a real challenge?? How about either A "Charge Blade" or "Switch Axe" from Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate game.
That is unfair AUHHUAEHUAE
Can't wield cause of the size,
Engineering level: asian hunters
But the Jinouga GS would be funny :v
MDalboni You misspelled "Zinogre".
What about the gore magala insect glave?
pentangle 5 jinouga is the original name from p3rd.
that'd be cool, but also impossible to use effectively.
Godo, wich amount of iron will you need to make the Dragonslayer?
Godo: yes
I feel bad that these guys think they're forging the dragonslayer during the build, I wonder how they felt when they saw the real dragonslayer afterwards..
I think they were aware this wasn't acctual dragonslayer. I think they just didn't make it as it would be impossible to forge and impossible to wield. The sword they made was pretty damn painful to make as it was.
Pre-Dragonslayer
if its impossible to build and weild how did mikecthulu make and weild it
Tony Miller he made a downsized version
they probably felt smaller when they saw it.
It's too bad they didn't do a little more research before doing this. I'm guessing they just picked up the anime and watched a few episodes and assumed the sword people were talking about was the one primarily shown there.
Either that or they just said "fuck that, lets just do the smaller one" lol.
nah, there were no "lol fuck it" nor "lol didn't read" it was more of a "ok which one is physically possible to forge considering we don't have infinite money & time like the viewers on youtube think we do", but yeah let's pretend they're a bunch of incompetent idiots if that makes you happy
artistafrustrado1 To be honest it can't be "ok which one is physically possible to forge considering we don't have infinite money & time like the viewers on youtube think we do". It has been said many times that the original title was without "pre-" so it would make more sense that they actually thought this was the real Dragonslayer until they read replies that stated that this was the wrong weapon and made them to change the title.
artistafrustrado1
Except that before they read the comments they genuinely thought this WAS the dragon slayer. Not saying they wouldn't have ended up doing this one anyway but in the past when they ran into a situation where a sword was just physically impossible they scaled it down (FF7 buster sword).
devilmikey00 How do you know what they genially thought before they read the comments? Did I miss them say in the video that they're doing the Dragonslayer?
The actual dragonslayer sword would probably be around 400 pounds if it were made in steel. Less if it was like the buster sword tony made. I'm happy they made a sword that they can actually physically wield. You're probably right, they probably didn't too too much research, it's fairly obvious some of them actually watch anime, but they aren't exactly no-lifers who've seen hundreds of series. That being said, i doubt they would have chosen the real dragonslayer sword becuase just look at it, it's a fucking buster sword, but thicker, heavier, and slightly shorter.
3:58 thanks for the reminder. We all have the same equipments you use to make swords at home
The title is wrong. This isnt the dragonsplayer this is the first sword Guts uses that gets broken during the eclipse
Aye but this was still so bad ass to see-- they got the first sword great I dont think they could do the real dragon slayer sword. I did get excited though and clicked because I thought they had.
Yeah it looks amazing as his first sword. But people came thinking they would see the almighty dragonslayer
Baz Rowland Guts' Pre-Dragonslayer Sword.
I came here expecting to see the Golden Arc sword. I wasn't disappointed at all.
***** they fucking changed the title xD Making us look like cunts :P
I've seen actually versions of the dragonslayer but probably not weapons quality real deal kind
Thank you guys for trying to stump us. We figured out a way to make it happen. By not actually making the sword.
Was so amazed to see this on my subscriptions...
...just to notice it was wrong sword...
...good work I guess but I feel too let down to properly appreciate it.
This is indeed his golden age sword, not the iconic Dragonslayer everyone has been requesting. You guys should've at very least tried to google it. What kind of research resulted in this? I'm really curious.
yeah
Jose Salazar They most likely saw the dragonslayer and thought it would be impossible to make. They might have assumed that all the swords he wielded were called a dragonslayer. So they just went with the one they could actually do, but who knows maybe they just did get it wrong and might do the real one.
Dragonslayer is ugly lump of iron anyway..
TenshiCZ But I would argue it's at least impressive lump of iron. Granted, there's nothing special in it's design, but same can be said from this one, too.
But apart from that, they really should take this video down and reupload it with appropriate title.
EDIT: The title seems to have been corrected.
Except actual dragonslayer would be kinda impossible to build.
I love how all of the comments asked for Dragonslayer and you specifically made the sword he had before the dragonslayer.
Dark Souls Artorias Greatsword (not the cursed one) please!
That things looks epic.
Funny you mention Artorias. Berserk was a big inspiration for Dark Souls, and Artorias himself took nods from Guts. darksoulswiki.wikispaces.com/file/view/Artorias%20and%20Guts.jpg/378095310/800x528/Artorias%20and%20Guts.jpg
its not actually
Azima Khan Have you seen the Greatsword from Dark Souls? Notice how it's a *lot* like the black swordsman sword (the original Guts sword) darksouls.wdfiles.com/local--files/ultra-greatswords/greatsword-onhand-large.jpg
Yes this is a good idea.
I've asked them like 4 times to make it, lol. Love you man =*
I wouldn't mind seeing an interpretation of some legendary swords like Gram or Durandal. Depending on the result it could be extremely impressive.
that is probably the best idea I have seen here among those comments. nice. Or maybe an accurate recreation of an Ulfberth.
Excalibur anyone?
I would like to see Egeking.
Tyrfing would be nice to see too.
Behemothokun what about fragarach?
RIP Miura
Make the SWORD OF CROTA from destiny, I think that would be awesome
Yessss
yes!yes!yes!
Yeeeeeees!
Yes he's yes yes yes!!!1!111!11!!!
Yesssssssssssss
All the comments they showed at the beginning of the vid asked for the Dragonslayer, but they made the "Pre-Dragonslayer Sword" instead. Why?
The Dragonslayer is probably more than a little bit out of their ability range
Seeing how hard this was, the dragonslayer sword is at least three times as big
But didn't they make the Buster Sword from FF?
Mallory Phillipastine sort of, the blade portion of the buster sword was riveted on to a larger piece of metal rather than one whole forged sword piece.
Mallory Phillipastine That was a slab of aluminum with a thin piece of steel riveted to it, and it couldn't even be carried out by one person, the dragonslayer is longer, wider, and it's just not possible to forge it due to the thickness of the metal.
This is just as good. My love of the Dragonslayer is unrealistic, but even this one (which I think was unofficially named Thousand Limbs? Could be wrong on that) is immense for a human to wield with the precision of our man, Guts. Thank you so much for finally doing this. You guys just made the shitty day of this Berserk fan a whole lot better.
Rest In Peace Kentaro Miura (1966-2021)
