Thank you for posting this! My wife and I are American fans of All Creatures Great and Small (new and old). I'm reading the books now and enjoying every page!
Thank you so much for your kind words. We love All Creatures too. It is such good old fashioned family entertainment with a big dollop of humour added. Visiting the filming locations really was magical. Enjoy reading the books. Rachel & David
So delighted to see this wonderful video! Thank you so much. I’ve loved the books for years, as well as the original and new television series. Many thanks from Connecticut, USA❤
You are so welcome! Thank you for your kind words. We love All Creatures - it is such good wholesome entertainment 💕 I enjoyed researching the locations and following in the footsteps too xx I hope the weather is better in Connecticut than the UK - it’s dreadful here 🌧️ Rachel & David 💕
@@LeisureBit Hello Rachel and David, The weather in Connecticut has been grey skies and rain! Dreary. So, your bright and happy All Creatures tour was especially welcome!
What a lovely little video on a fantastic part of the country. TBH i never really watched All creatures, saw a few episodes though, either way its a beautiful place to visit
Awwwww a trip down memory lane there Rachel. I loved the antics Tristan got up to & loved seeing life on a North Yorkshire farm. Great music too. Thanks for making this ❤
Thank you for your kind feedback. We really enjoyed going and visiting all the locations - just a pity we missed filming by a day - could of been Hollywood next 🤣🤣 Rachel, David & Roxy
Well done Rachel, word perfect in one take? Not something I watched as a child but great places to visit if it brings back memories. We were not that far away in Skipton on Saturday wishing the van had arrived so we could stay out. Cheers K.
Karlos I have the memory of a fish finger so about 2 million takes 😂 we really enjoyed the tour and remind of childhood memories and better weather! Any news on the van? Merry Christmas to you guys x
@@LeisureBit No news on the van yet Rachel and we are trapped now due to the price increases, so we just have to wait, in any other circumstance, I would have cancelled and gone elsewhere.
@@LeisureBit April or May 2023 but they said that for 2022 last year when we ordered, our order was a cancelation from July 21 which we jumped on in November 21.
Great video Rachel I am also a fan of all creatures great and small and many years ago my wife went with her family to see many of those places and I would like to do this tour myself and next time I visit my brother in saltburn I am going to make time to do this! Happy Christmas to you David and Roxy and all the best for the new year 🎉🎉 🎅
Hi Daniel thank you so much for your lovely feedback and comments. We really enjoyed touring round the different locations - just such a shame we missed the filming by a day! The museum was great too - the kitchen reminds me of my grans! 😂 Ohhh put it on your list, if you enjoy All Creatures you should enjoy it. A very merry Christmas to you and your family too x Rachel, David & Roxy
I remember watching the original series as a kid, it’s nice to use the van to do tv shows stuff, we’ve done Detectorists, Heartbeat, Doc Martin, and coming soon Hot Fuzz. Nice to see Rachel taking the lead on this one.
Thanks guys - we really enjoyed exploring all tho different locations & I loved the museum. I’m quite happy handing the baton back to David mind 🤣🤣 I had to Google Hot Fuzz (thought it sounded dodgy 😳) but I remember it now - it was hilarious Rachel, David & Roxy
I used to love it Gill… every Sunday night cuddled round the TV (with no remote control) I was just gutted we missed filming by a day! We hope you have a lovely Christmas and New Year and I hope Santa is kind to you xxx Rachel, David & Roxy ❤
I was a huge fan of the original series. I don't like the new one at all. It isn't true to the books and the characters aren't well developed. I love all the books. I read them about 40 years ago. A year and a half ago my hubby and I visited the UK and stayed in York. We took the train to Thirsk and visited the museum. What an amazing experience that was. I hope to go back in about five years. We want to go to the UK for three months.
I loved the museum it really took you back in time. And I loved going round all the areas of interest used in filming - so nostalgic. It would be amazing if you come to the UK for 3 months - let me know if you want an ideas on where to visit! I quite like the new series (not as much as the original) I love Rachel Shenton she has a typical UK’ness (making up words) about her!
@@LeisureBit When my cat leaves this mortal coil my current plan is to sell our house and use some of the $ to visit the UK & France for three months. I can't leave my cat for three months. Our house is currently worth just over $700G and when my sis sells our parents' old house I'll get about another $200G for it. I just don't find the writing or character development in the new show as good as the original. Plus they added all these side stories that weren't in the books or the original series. The stuff about Mrs. Hall and her son really irked me. It's just a bit too formulaic. I think I have plenty of ideas where I want to see. I definitely want to spend a week in Cornwall.
