I have wanted to try something like this for ages but thought it would be too complicated. Thank you very much for explaining everything so clearly and using the Fast Forward view really helped me to understand what you were doing.I hope you don't mind my saying that I noticed on some of your other videos, the sound was a bit 'hollow'. This one is perfect and the camera angles really clear. Thank you for the link to the pattern.

love your video...will this foot work with the Husquvarna viking epic machine???? thanks...

Yes. Our feet have fit all sewing machines with a zigzag stitch since 1994 - one set fits all because we include adapters but I believe you'll slide it on just like you do with the feet that came with your machine :)

I am looking for a cute chicken quilt pattern made with appliques. I was looking for one by nancy barrett, and looked everywhere. If you know of any please let me know thank you.

Love the design, what was the stabilizer called? I couldn't quite catch the name of it. Thank you!

It is our Hold Light found at www.creativefeet.com under the stabilizers link. :)

Can you do this with a regular sewing machine I been learning to sew my mom passed away she had a fantasy sewing machine that was give to me, but I got to get the auto button feeder fixed, but I do have a regular singer with zigzag stitch i was wondering if I could use that machine.

If I understand you correctly, you're asking if the Creative Feet brand Satinedge presser foot will attach to your Singer machine and the answer is YES :) That said, the stitch that you see me use on this pattern is the Blanket Stitch also known as the buttonhole stitch. This pattern could be accomplished with a straight stitch, however, it won't launder well and will likely not withstand a lot of stretching or overfilling the bag. You could also substitute using a zigzag stitch as well. The pattern, and Satinedge foot, in addition to the two stabilizers, Fuse and Fuse & Hold Light can be found at www.creativefeet.com - please let me know if you have any other questions and thanks for watching!

Clair, I found the pattern link - is the bag lined? I am wondering about the strength of the bag as a finished project.

No the bag isn't lined, this is more for shopping - so it's lightweight and can be rolled up and placed inside your purse. The handles are strong - as I teach you how to stitch them inside of the binding. This part of the video should upload today or tomorrow. Be sure to subscribe to my channel if you haven't already - you'll be notified when it's up! And thank you for posting :)

Bought the satin edge foot. It's great for adding ribbons and hemming but fucking TERRIBLE for doing appliqué with a zig zag stitch. I refuse to do a blanket stitch, it looks ugly to me. So I am stuck using this foot for half the project. I regret buying this at such a steep price. It's only worth like $10.

CHERished626 Sorry you're feeling so frustrated. This video is showing blanket stitch applique and the same method isn't used for the Satin stitch applique version. I just spoke to a woman yesterday that said she could never do applique until she got the Satinedge foot. We do have an instructional video to help you learn how and you are welcome to call me for help 800-776-6938 it works great for it and helps you take your eye off the needle. I'll consider a satin stitch applique video for RUclips soon. (((HUG)))
