- Jessy Kurczewski is accused of killing her friend Lynn Hernan with a lethal dose of eye drops to take control of her money. The defense says Hernan took her own life. On the stand, a family friend and a beneficiary of Hernan testified about the "red flags" surrounding Kurczewski after the death. Anthony Pozza says there were concerns about Kurczewski's handling of the estate like how a lockbox of Hernan's money was discovered empty after her death.

It’s pretty rare when a younger person visits an older person that often. What a compassionate young man.
I work in a retirement home and sometimes when I help the nurses hand out lunch I’ll have convos with some of the folks here and it’s always tough when one of them says they haven’t had a real conversation in weeks or months. Love who ya got.

@@alexanderdumas-I worked in a nursing home many years ago and would go home crying because most of the residents never had visitors. This one particular gentleman loved Bologna sandwiches mixed with mayo and mustard. He would only eat it if the condiments were mixed so we made a special jar of mayo and mustard together just for him. To this day that is how I eat Bologna sandwiches and think of him. Of course i would never cry in front of him yet it broke my heart to see him always eating alone never having family especially on holidays.

I worked in admin doing the schedules for nurses but I couldn’t help but pass out food trays or change sheets if I saw a nurse struggling since I’m a bigger guy I didn’t mind but it usually brought me into proximity with people like the gentlemen you met. Here’s hoping we find similar souls when we are on that side of the mountain

He was also asked why he was here . He said, justice for Lynn.
He was also cool with taking half of the earnings from that gold bracelet, knowing Lynn wanted his uncle to have it.

Yep and did you notice Jessy stole that line from him too, as she used it in her 2 hour sentencing rant and tried to claim that’s how SHE felt. Sorry Jessy, being a genuine human like Tony is another thing you just can’t fake.
What a lovely caring young man. He genuinely loved his aunt. Jessy is absolutely guilty in my opinion.

Makes me wonder how many of our elderly have been victims for their money. I have a feeling this happens way more than we realize. A person works hard their whole life just to end up a victim of some greedy lazy bastard. Disgusting!
I used to work at a bank, and I handled A LOT of elderly abuse incidents. It's horrific how often it happens by people who are trusted by the victims. It made me question everybody. Money truly brings out the worst in people

Great point. I can imagine predatory people becoming care givers specifically for this heinous purpose. Taking advantage of the vulnerable. I'm so afraid to get old.
what’s even more disgusting is when the state preys on the elderly. If you don’t have any family or or anyone in your will, without remorse the state takes everything including your money. All in all, we’re all criminals to a degree.

There's no proof Lynn left him anything either. His family latched onto her too knowing she had no one. They should all get their own jobs and this young man should stop acting like he cared about "Aunt Lynnie" being dead until he learned money was gone. All a bunch of parasites around her.
She not only murdered her but stole almost all of her assets and definitely all the cash.

You just feel how candid and sincere he is. He's the embodiment of a credible witness.
What an absolutely wonderful and genuinely loving young man. He is the real deal. His parents must be so proud of him. Jessie should be ashamed of herself for her greed and selfishness at a minimum. She should go to jail for life for the murder of Lynne and the destruction of her reputation.

I really feel like I know Lynn. Maybe it's because my best friend and cousin who was murdered in 2004 has her middle name, or maybe it's because our old best friend's mother Brenda reminds me so much of her, both an appearance, and in lifestyle. Brenda is so frugal, she's not into technology, she's from the same generation, and would have absolutely loved swimming in the lakes with Lynn while jamming out to classic rock and 80s hits... l it's just so tragic that this woman did that. She wasn't sick before this evil woman came along and began poisoning her. Lynn really just seems like the type of person that would be easy to call Auntie or even mom for those who arent blessed wth one in theor lives. Such a horroble and evil deed that Jessy committed.😢

Wow, this just goes to show the night and day difference in the humanity of one person versus another. The witness declined an old lady's offer of $50 gas money. The defendant (allegedly) poisoned to death the same old lady and took everything she had.

I have never seen a defendant use the attorney's computer mouse. I have seen this defendant do it twice in this trial. I saw her attorney asking her to put the mouse down. Especially if the defendant is incarcerated. Just something I noticed that seemed inappropriate.
