Apperentlally SEGA is issuing four sonic game styles Open Zone, Adenvture, Boost and 2D so I really hope the adventure games will take on this apperence!

Yanno I would love to see a game like that they should make a game that takes inspiration from the Dreamcast era such as Jet Set Radio with the shading look at HI-FI Rush that looks dreamcasty in a way.
As a guy who draws this style from time to time, I love this mod and how much detail it is but the one criticism I can give is that he only has one face expression and it doesn’t change in the cutscenes. If they fix that and do the rest of the characters (including sage) in that art style we would have a pretty stylish mod on our hands!
I imagine the current model doesn't actually have a fully modeled mouth, but a flat plane with a texture. Not very easy to remodel to animate depending on how mouth movement is done in frontiers.
The modders could do the easy fix, replace the cutscenes with hand drawn artwork, it would at least have more character than the original cutscenes

Also make his legs slightly longer and we’ll be good.

Someone NEEDS to make a Lego Sonic mod. Highly underappreciated version of the character, stuck in a universe that had a chance to be peak fiction. The least people could do is show some love to my blue blocky boi

like, ive seen this style attempted on a model many times before but never has it been done as accurately as this
my only problem is that his mouth literally NEVER moves or changes, but other than that, it's pretty much perfect
I’m a huge of uekawa’s art but I prefer his newer art compared to adventure era stuff also I wish the model had a spine length config for short spines other than that I love the model
In his latest art, the spines aren't really short like they are in Lost World - This game, though. They're about in the middle of short and long.
I like his sketchy style from the late 2000s/early 10s alot

I like how when Sonic’s in ball form, it’s just simple, no glowing effect or anything. It looks good.
This is the Greatest Sonic mod I’ve ever seen since I saw my favorite Movie Sonic mod video titled: The best movie sonic. I know that mod looked fittingly well animated in those Sonic 06 cutscenes, but to see a Cel Shaded Sonic mod to be designed just like how Yuji Uekawa used his coloring style for his modern sonic artwork back then, is absolutely phenomenal I tell ya' Sonic Fans what.

Esse mod do cel-shading do sonic é usado também no dbfighter z também por cima do gohan.
That little jolt forward that Sonic does while running at his base speed is honestly a really nice touch. Even though it doesn't necessarily mean he's going faster, it gives the illusion that he's picking up speed without needing to boost. The ball animation when he's jumping or doing the drop dash are also very well done. 👍

Alright, to SEGA: I know you guys have been struggling with the franchise's art direction and us fans haven't made it any easier too, but hear me out...
Make Sonic games a 3d Uekawa style, from now on.
Both videogames and cinema have proven time and time again that an unique art direction goes long ways to entertain your audience, nowadays especially. Look at a movie like Puss in Boots: The Last Wish or a game like HiFi Rush and notice how well received they were, their unique art style being a big reason for it. They push the boundaries of what this form of media should look like by embracing and owning different styles that make them pop instantly.
Now think of our boi Sonic. His whole THING is pushing forward; pushing the genesis's power to allow for fast-paced gameplay; pushing his own franchise from simple, cartoons tales to heavier, somewhat mature stories; pushing forward many gameplay styles that attract multiple people; pushing in cinema by making a truly good movie etc.
Sonic is all about kicking things up a notch; it is in this franchise's nature; so, why not? Make a fully Uekawa styled game, make some assets 2D, let the animators use different techniques, like smear frames, more extreme squash and stretch and models with more complex rigging for detailed, good looking expressions, poses and movements. Hell, y'all can even play with the FRAME RATE of the game's cutscenes to make them more impactful!
It'd be gorgeous...
Now we need someone remake the openzone with an artstyle that matches this mod.

With the right shaders and know-how (things post-Console Wars Sega lacks) a 2D look is possible. Nintendo did it (with Mr. Game and Watch) years ago, this guy did it, young passionate gamers studying game development can do it.
