It’s quite amazing that a mod like this is possible. This is just the tip of the iceberg of how insane Frontiers mods can be, and it’s by far my favorite mod for Frontiers! Also, love that it’s compatible with the Soap Shoes so you can have both Adventure Sonics in the game!

This Uekawa Sonic cel-shaded style fan mod is now my best favorite Sonic mode, I wish some of the other 3D Modern Sonic games were cel-shaded or want the upcoming new 3D Modern Sonic games to be cel-shaded which would both suited well and look more like anime-esque style for both the 3D Modern Sonic games and Sonic characters. (Sonic Unleashed) - Gawain and Perceval try to kill themselves, Sonic is literally beaten to death by Merlina and learns her she needs to live her life until the end (Sonic and the Black Knight) - an ancient alien civilization whose planet was destroyed by a faceless entity whose shape changes depending on everyone's point of view, forcing them to flee to Earth bringing them with them, creating a digital dimension to keep their memories and 4 giant robots to battle the faceless entity that followed them and this led to the death of 1 of the 4 pilots of the robots to seal the entity into cyberspace. This same entity pushed Sonic to agonize with a artificial energy to save his friends and finally kills him until his friends decide to return to their original places to save Sonic. And finally, Sage who tried to kill Sonic, finally sacrificed herself to save the entire universe. (Sonic Frontiers) Sorry, but a series with those kind of events is nothing but cartoony. it fulfills more criteria of shōnen/seinen than cartoony. In fact, it doesn't fill any of cartoony ones. Don't make me laugh. The only real cartoony version of Sonic is Sonic Boom which is an independent series, and the Meta Era which waw written by 2 guys unaware of Sonic's lore (only the Japanese versions of those games removed that). Sonic, cartoony? Not even close.
No need to change it, the original is good, the Hedgehog Engine 2 model has been improved in Frontiers and Sonic's expressions are way better worked. Also this mod looks like Telltale games which are ugly for the most. Incorporate drawn 2D in 3D is weird.
I'd love to see an unofficial (Or possibly official) Sonic game where all the characters have an outline similar to SA and SA2, Just like this!
