I'm actually happy that Sage survived in this version of Sonic Frontiers I do hope we get to see more of Sage in future Sonic Games.
But she survived in the original ending tho in the credits scene.

In my opinion, I prefer this alternate DLC version better because Eggman gets has a happy ending, Sonic gets a new and enhanced version of his super form which looks so awesome and incredible btw, Sonic's friends help as well, and this new version of the final boss: Supreme/The End is incredible

Eggman finally gets a daughter
So glad Eggman and Sage got a happy ending. Seeing them holding hands on that hillside as the stars fall is such a beautiful parallel to the version of that scene from the bad ending, where Eggman is heartbroken at losing Sage.
Him calling her his dear daughter to her face was also so sweet.
All I can say, is I'm beyond amazed. This is incredible. I swear my jaw dropped twice during that final boss fight. The sight of Sonic being battered and covered in stuff.... especially in super form is something you'd only see in fan stuff. But I'm speechless. To be fair I am a bit disappointed that it's so short, but this is now what I am accepting as the canon ending. Seeing Tails, Amy and Knuckles flying into help is the best thing I've seen all year. Seeing Sonic completely corrupted and still fighting is crazy amazing cool. I couldn't be happier and prouder. Here's what I say to Sonic...

Immediately what I thought as soon as the gun comes out. It was actually such an obvious route to take I’m surprised that in the original ending Sage didn’t shoot Super Sonic out of it instead of throwing him like a baseball.
They executed this scene much better than Sonic X still. Like when the rifle was charging up with enough energy to bust a Galaxy, the vocals were going ham on it

(At 2:54) I just noticed something: before Amy, Tails, and Knuckles were intangible Sonic was phase through them. This time, all these leaning *on* Amy and Knuckles… and he's not falling over.
The true ending that they wanted to have many moons ago is now finally here. So happy they fixed the ending to make this game fully complete

We finally get to play as Sonic's friends again. They felt very fun and powerful to play as. I also loved the interactions with the characters.
For this ending, it really emphasized how much of threat the end was, as well as everything it must take to truly defeat it (instead of just throwing super sonic through it). It took both the cyber corruption and the chaos emeralds to defeat this powerful foe, not to mention everyone working together and bringing about true inginuity given their current states. This dlc really did The End justice and gave this game an ending that will be remembered for a long time.

I was gonna say that! Dude! Sega didn´t cooked a DLC, they literally remake the final and now the game has become a good piece of art in my gallery of games. Bro, the new Super Sonic showed absolute dominance and really got like Super Saiyan vibes, the whole fight was like og Goku vs Freezer.
Thanks for saving some of us the time to beat the DLC. I tried it and the difficulty SPIKE UP is unbearable (2nd tower climbing and i imagine more than that)

Lives to pollute entire forests, burned down a portion of angel island, left half of mushroom hill dead. Fed chaos the emeralds, got a city tsunami'd. Blew up a chunk of the moon as a threat, ripped the earth apart. There is nothing to say that could justify these actions

So wait, that's it? There's no sign or mention of Tails' shadow self tormenting him until he has to face it down himself? What even was the point of saying about it in the main story if they weren't actually going to do anything with it. Especially when it could have been used as the final obstacle to overcome to save Sonic during his cyber corruption. Because I doubt one peptalk from Sonic would have it be, "well butter my biscuits! I guess that's me licked..." Plus the lack of screen time for the other characters doing things by themselves is also quite disappointing.

This update is the true ending, but to play the old ending just play the normal game from Ouranus Island, and to access this ending you enter a Portal Ring at the beginning of the island

This ending kind of just deletes the characterization of The End. No monologue or taunting? This is just what the supreme fight should have been. This is hardly even a fight with The End, just like the normal mode version of the original ending where Sonic simply flies through the moon.
There has to be some kind of hidden 100% completion fight or something. Hell, this boss is even WEAKER than the moon. Why does Sonic need a new power-up for it when he was able to beat The End without it?
The End taunted Sonic during the final boss fight, saying that even if Sonic defeats that vessel, it will never be beaten. So where is the true form? Where the hell is the final boss?
I'm not satisfied here. The fight is cooler, but the ending is somehow WORSE.
I'm holding out for a 100% completion final fight. Sonic got a new form there at the end so I hope there's some kind of fight inside the moon or something.

You can also tell that the story of this one was badly rushed and that it was kinda just thrown together. The evidence of this is Sage being spared from dying in the original ending. It shows that none of this was actually planned and was all just a response to complaints.

I had to rewatch the final cuts scenes because I feel like this DLC was so fundamentally busted and unfun in so many ways that I made it hard to actually enjoy the ending or even bring myself to care
