Steve Magnante needs help. Spread the word. His medical expenses seem to have put him in a bad spot. And he's talking about selling everything he owns. The automotive community needs to help out our friend. Whatever you can do.
Sorry for hijacking your comment section Kiwi. Just had to try to get the word out. Steve's been good to us. Just trying to return the favor
No problem bud. He is one of us!! Just pinned your comment!
I saw his video today. He has his A/FX Fairmont up for sale. I think he's asking $15k for it.
Steve is a great guy
Yeah, he's talking about selling his house, and other things even down to his magazine collection, after everything he's been through, that's just awful, I'm assuming it's because he has to. I hope we can all collectively solve his problem.
@@barrycuda3769 even his magazine collection!?!? There's a life lesson for all of us. He's alive but he'll lose everything 😭😭😭😭😭 and they starting over I just set the time you should be retiring.
My Grandfather owned and restored a number of Falcons and Rancheros, I love the simple clean design. I hope to own one someday.
Love how this Falcon just "fell into your lap."
Me too!!😁😎👍
You'll walk past about 10,000 Mustangs before you see another of those in _any_ condition. Pretty cool that it survived.
They are thin on ground!!👍😎
What a precious little jewel!
I did not know that the 260 was called the challenger V8. Thanks. It’s a beautiful car. Fantastic story of how it was dropped in your lap by a tow truck driver.
Sweet little Falcon
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
I've always loved these little Falcons. This looks like a nice, honest example.
I had a '62 Fairlane, 221, 2-speed. Anemic power but what a smooth engine! The first of dozens of Fords I've owned in 44 years.
What a great Time Capsule! Had a few of these, The only Bad thing was the Single Jelly Jar Master, lost a line doin 60 into a intersection, went Off Roadin...Cheers!
What a great little Falcon Kiwi, i always enjoy looking at a good honest original car and this is definitely one. You got yourself a keeper right there mate.
Very nice car Kiwi love the color, sort of a forerunner to the Mustang 👍👍
Yes they were!! Thanks for watching !!
Beautiful car, great story too 🎉
Lovely Falcon you have there Kiwi! My parents apparently drove Falcons in the early '60s when they were only a few years into their marriage, then dad got himself a '67 442 convertible 😁
AWESOME...love it, I miss my 62 hard top.....MOPAR 4 EVER.
Lucky find for sure. I'm not a Ford fan but like this car.
That is a very nice car. Well designed and put together.
My first car was a 1963 Falcon Convertible, with the 170 inline six and three speed. I'm sure it left the factory with a three-on-the-tree, but when I bought it (for $250...) it had a Western Auto Fenton floor shifter, and bucket seats out of a Fairlane. The steering box was so worn out it was a challenge to keep it between the mustard and the mayo; I called it Lurch, and got very good at anticipating its sudden sideways lunges. It broke a rod on the way to work, and I gave it to my nephew to play with. I still miss that car!
Cool story, thanks for sharing!😁
Beauty 😍!!!
Thanks man, we love her!!😎
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 rightly so!!!
Love it! I have it’s cousin, a late 63 mercury Comet custom convertible with the 260 2-speed as well. Wayyyyy more attention then when I drive my 66 Mustang🤓
I get it!!
Just tell everyone that the Falcon has a Sunbeam Tiger engine in it! Nice car, Kiwi, I can see why it's not for sale.
That's a good point!!😎👍
She's a beauty Kiwi, really nice.. and the vintage cragars 👍
Cheers mate !! Thanks for watching!!
Back in the early 70's,Eddie Ford in his restored cars mag did an article on Falcon Convertibles in Australia. As usual Ed placed quite a few pics from his own collection in the Article of convertibles he had run across. One bloke had three. They must have been a popular import into the country at one time, going by the number of convertibles Ed featured ,but I've only seen one or two at car shows here over the years.
That falcon is awesome
Kiwi
I am prejudice..
this was my first car in high school down to the colors....I had bucket seats and a console..I had l bent trans an pipes out each side in front of the rear wheels. Great little car❤
Good memories !!😁😎👍
My 2nd car was a 63 falcon futura convertible. Red with red interior and black top. It had the mighty 144 straight 6. Lol But, I could go all week on half a tank of gas. It was clean, no rust, and the paint compounded right up to a nice shine. That was before the oil embargo, I could fill the tank for about $4. Bought the car for $250, ahh the good ole days.
A true survivor.
Thanks for sharing Kiwi! Sure beats driving up and down the street until the garage is open!😎
Are you stalking me Mr Nickerson 😳. 😂😉
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 😆!! I'm 1500 miles away--I would need Google Earth!
There is a Futura sprint V8 convertible the same color and all in my town in central Victoria...love early Falcons ! cheers Kiwi.
Beautiful, being in the right place at the right time, well done Kiwi.
Huge favor, passenger door mirror! I would love a part number!
Is the number under the base?
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 yes sir!
That’s a beautiful car. Keep it as original as possible Kiwi. Wonderful piece of history and a great cruiser! 👍🏻
What a beauty ! Definitely a keeper for sure ! Take care 🍺🍺
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
Next subscriber. Channel came recommended by a long-term subscriber. Also that Car great especially for the originality aspect.
Nice original car!
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
Opening the hood and checking out the engine is my favorite part of the video. I like how it's kept original and see that it's not Ford blue engine paint. Is it originally a black block and heads with red rocker arm covers and air cleaner? I suppose the oil pan is red too. That's funny because my father and brother painted my '69 351W with Ford red engine paint whereas it originally was blue. Didn't know Ford even used red.
Beautiful Falcon Kiwi!
Gorgeous lil car.
Love the spear side trim.
Enjoy your day.
Very nice Kiwi, petroleum jelly or leather grease would keep the convertible top smooth and supple.
Thanks for the peek!
Great little car with an excellent story.
Have a near twin in my garage, original glacier blue paint with blue interior…a real Sprint convertible with 4 speed and bucket seat interior. Very similar condition, purchased from estate of second owner who bought it in 1965. Put Kelsey Hayes 15 steelies from a Galaxie on it and a couple modest mods as it’s a driver.
Kiwi nice car. You take that car out everyone will be looking at your car
Just the other day, I saw a beautifully restore, gold 1963 Pontiac Tempest convertible. Just like this, I'd pass every Firebird, GTO, Camaro or whatever else for another look at that one!
🥝✔️ My neighbours in New Zealand had two OEM 260 2bbl 63 Fairlane 4dr compacts, one black and one Sebring orange. That 63-1/2 Falcon is especially nice, and reminds me so much of the V8 cars I was around in 1975 as a kid. The five bolt 260s are such a cool 164 HP engine, with hardened pushrods, the big size exhaust port before the size downgrade. Kiwi and sometimes UK resident Des Hamill use's them in pre 65s, great information exists on them.
I would buy a car like that ahead of any mustang. It’s gorgeous. Thanks for sharing Kiwi.
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
Great great bird of prey. The falcon of course. Great story to go along with a car 🚨🚨🚨
Nice 😊
GREAT car Kiwi! Enjoy and have fun with it!
I think it's a noice car and very original, hard to find in this condition too.
The car is for you, it came to you. For those of us who grew up around Falcons (i had them in Argentina) this is the epitome of the model. But the younger set are from another time. Enjoy it
A friend has one of those in a Sprint. In Code 9 white. He bought it on pics out of the US and as usual it had bog,, but a lot better car than the ones he already had. He has fitted Aussie bumpers so the No plates fit properly and they were better than the ones on the car. Mechanically good. For a man who hates the sun an odd purchase but he wanted one. He also has a Vic Police van, an XP Fairmont, he has had for a long time and 302 XP ute plus several other restoreable XPs. And a 351 XY Fairmont wagon.
Another friend owns an XP Futura Couple with 289 and C4. Just like the ones Bill Warner did in Sydney as new cars.
Nice
Awesome car Kiwi.
They are rare, but a couple of years ago, a bloke who lived down the road from me had one, a 289 (I think it may have been a’64 and it WAS restored) and that was in the Adelaide Hills in South Australia..!!!
That’s a wonderful survivor Kiwi and unique as Falcon’s were family cars were typically driven hard, put away wet and crushed rather than restored. Although it’s chassis was the basis for the Mustang, I believe the shock towers, like the Comet, 10:37 are wider with supposedly 1.5 inches less clearance with the engine.
cool car all the best from n.z.
Cheers mate, thanks for watching!!
Nice little driver.😎👍
Freshen up the motor and that should do it. Nice little gem!
That's the plan!
Would love to hear your views re the panel fit on the Tesla Cybertruck . Hope you get to see one sometime . Cheers mate .
There's one I see around my area but I've only ever seen it driving
keep doing your vids mate, real interesting to this kiwi car nut.your stories on flipper cars are unreal, cheers pete in nz,
Mr. B. Here ! 🍩☕️👀😎👍. That is a sweet little car ! Most folks in our hobby dis-miss vehicles like this , the cost is so little and the fun factor is outstanding !
Kit the wrong key ! Very cool ride for what it is . Kiwi , Steve Mags are out to help anyway we can ! Go Mags 👀😎👍👀😎👍
IIRC, back in '63 the TV ads for the Falcon Futura called it "the compact cousin of the Thunderbird".
I would give my eye teeth for that car..❤❤❤❤
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
That’s a beaut. I had a 63 Futura ,blue ,bucket seats, hardtop. Great car. Sure wish I had kept that one.
I'll bet you do!!!
Very nice car I would love a 64 or 65 falcon sprint or futura
Thanks man, those are cool cars too!!
I like it
Real sweet. You don't see a lot of convertible Falcons.
You really don't and people really seem to love it!!
Sweet car, so nice to see an original survivor. Cheers.
Beautiful little ride
Shame steering wheels on the wrong side 😂
I was 16 once and had no problem driving these without power brakes, power steering,or any safety features. Time flies, now its all a faded memory. Nice little Falcon. Reminds me of one similar to this that I passed up for $1750 40 years ago simply because it was a convertible. Mustangs were my thing instead.
New Subscriber. You can blame Uncle Tony. Lol
Nice car. Im sure its mechanically sound if its your garage.
Welcome aboard!! 😁😎👍
Now you know we would love to have that here back home in New Zealand hay that's so kool mate
Oh come on kiwi I bet those pink dice are yours ha ha nice car love old fords
Beautiful Falcon
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
Good job Kiwi looks like an XM falcon which is still very cool here in Australia…..
I think if they put in high-power V8 motors, the chassis tends to twist and they have to box it up to make it more rigid ……
On second thoughts, maybe an XK / XL……??!!
What a sweet ride Kiwi! Thanks for sharing! Back in the early 70’s a friend of mine had a red 63 1/2 with 260 factory 4 speed. Really quick little car but the tin worm took it to the ground. I can see why it’s not for sale. Thanks for sharing
Where are the car posters on the wall of the garage? 😂👍🏻
Super nice little car- I'd still like to have a nice 63-1/2 V-8 Futura or Sprint hardtop with a 4 speed, but i think they are harder to find than the convertibles are nowadays. Thanks for sharing this.
NICE' ... A RARE RIDE
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!

Love it kiwi!! I've been in a few of the futura sedans but that's a lovely wee convertible!! Lucky you 🤩
😲Wow ! ....that is a Sweet little ride 👍👍
You warned me man.......
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 Warned you ???
@@justralphajerseyguystuckin3671 about some of the people I was aligning myself with. I got burned
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 Awww man, I'm sooo sorry to hear that 😞
@@justralphajerseyguystuckin3671 yeah when you promise the customer you won't publish the video of his car till he's had chance to speak/ negotiate with the dealer they purchased it from but the guy doing the video publishes it anyway it makes you look like and asshole.
That's just lovely. :)
I grew up in love with falcons.I have owned 5 64 and 65 v-8 4 speed cars. I still have a 65 buried in a damned barn.I want it out to see if it is worth fixing.I bought it with a fresh 302 factory rebulid and we hotted it up. The car cost 250.00 in 1976.
Wow, want to double your money??🤣😂👍
Im Valiant all day but i once saw 1 of those in a hardtop. V rare in OZ but one of the best looking 2door fards made imho
Nice!!! I wouldn't sell it either.
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
Oooh juicy garage peak ❤
LOL. It's tidy isn't it😬
@@kiwiclassicsandcustoms9160 yes indeed tis an awesome old car thanks for sharing 🍻
Forget about the car, I love your neighborhood.
Really nice car!
Watch those 260/289s of that period. The valve seals are prone to get hard and break into pieces and lock the oil pump. I had a 63 with the 260. With a set of Continental Blue Swinger glass packs it positively purred. This are a 5 bolt block so treat it right. You can fit a 302 crank in the 260 and bring the cubic inches up to a 275.
Nice tour Bro .
Cool ride 👌🏼⛽️
Cheers bud!!🥃
Thanks man and thanks for watching!!
superb ride
Hi Kiwi. Nice car and story! I got a 1964 Chevelle 6Cyl 3 spd 4 door for for my son to drive to school also. It makes kids appreciate the art of driving! Still have it, only has 28,00 miles on it but did get a base ,clear paint in original color, Almond Bisque. The int and bright work is mint, always garaged as far as I know from history. Are you doing a part 2 on that Streetside Classics Mustang Uncle Tony content stole from you the other day? Haha! Love your work, also a Ford guy.Still have my 68 Fastback Mustang since 1968.Take care .
Sounds like a nice car! I will be putting up a follow up video on that mustang. The first one wasn't supposed to be aired until the customer had a chance to speak/ negotiate with Streetside Classics but unfortunately clicks were placed above friendships
I’ve got a 63 mercury meteor S33 2 door hardtop only 4865 built very similar apart from the roof!😂
Nice clean falcon
Sweet ride mate . Always had a soft spot for falcons, mostly 6's. But I do like sound of a small block ford, from the flathead all the way up to the 289. Just something about them.
Nice 👍🤗
That's a cool car.
Thanks man, she's a permanent member of the family now !!
So Sweet ! great little car
Nice ride Kiwi.
