Their live sound is stupid good. That performance they put together during the lockdown of most of Sonder is amazingly mixed and performed. Better than the record.
Concealing the Fate changed my life back in 2010.

Sick!!!! This is one of my favorite songs & I saw them just 3 short nights ago (Mon. 10/23/23) at the Summit Music Hall in Denver, CO) & they killed it 2nd to the last song. What a show it was! I’m tellin you, they took my breath away. I’m still havin trouble breathing (j/k) but you sound like you know what I mean. ;) ❤
To this day Concealing Fate suite is still the emblem of TesseracT, this work keeps getting better and better. The sound, the groove, the voice, the feelings.

Sonder is my favorite album and sound of theirs but man, I'd love for them to bring back some of this in the next album.

Go listen to Acle's recent Hollow playthrough, I think it might be on the album judging from the fact that it's been played live twice for the first time in 10 years, plus in Acle's playthrough you can hear that it sounds like it's a new recording of the song. Dan's growls in that song are incredible!

The guy has a great work ethic and discipline for sure, having múltiple prokects aside Tesseract for years and mantaining or Even surpasong his level

I'm slowly getting into TesseracT and they are amazing! I still can't f**ing understand how the heck they manage to articulate a 4/4 tempo like that... Ridiculous job... Just astonished

@@johnnyl3843 You have to learn to accent on every three 8th notes. You have to wait until three bars for the accent to reach to 1 once again. That's why it feels kind of weird. You can do that with every 5 8th note (or 16th) or every 7 8th note (or 16th note). Anything beyond that is too long unless you go for 16ths or shorter notes.

Write a phrase that doesn't fit 4/4 and you'll get different accents as it cycles through the measures. You'll learn how it works before long, cause the construction is often times simple despite sounding complex.
Btw you should checkout Yogev Gabay's channel if you like this kinda thing, he breaks down a lot of songs from Tigran to Meshuggah. It helps a lot in understanding and getting the feel for these.

5:30 is my absolute favorite part of this song. I love it so much. And then that groove that kicks in at 6:11 always crushes! Ugghhhh it's so good.
For sure -- to me this is one of the most legendary sections in the genre. It'll always be a standout.

@@thetrendisdead1 Mike Malyan filled in as the drummer for this. Jay wasn't able to make it due to the fact he lives in Texas and it was during Covid lock down. Mike is even using Jay's drumset so they could get a consistent sound. Mike and Jay talk about it on Mike's youtube channel if you're curious about hearing more about it!

So I haven’t been following the band’s RUclips much, and when I saw Portals release on iTunes, I immediately downloaded it and played the fuck out of it. I assumed it well a new more natural take on older songs, very well mixed and mastered - kind of a rework album. Now that I know these are all live performances, I’m even MORE blown away. These guys are such a phenomenal group of musicians.
I’ve never loved a band so much in my life. I’m so thankful for the music you’ve graced our world with.

Portals was my first introduction to Concealing Fate. I remember watching this for the first time and having my jaw hang open for several minutes. The way they just turned it up to 11 was done so well.

Great idea but not very likely. Having them both on stage would make the Tesseract too powerful so the audience would probably just get warped into the 4th dimension hahah
Jokes aside, having heard how Ashe can sing One (including the screams on CFP1) and how Dan can sing Altered State, I would love to hear Ashe’s take on Polaris and Sonder.
My favourite TesseracT Album is One, but what Dan did to Altered State (especially adding the screams to Nocturne) brings these songs incredibly close too

I listened to One for about two years like constantly, almost everyday - went from Brazil to Sonisphere in UK to see them and was lucky enough to meet and take a pic with Amos - who was super extra patient with a then-very slow Android phone. Ten years ago, insane!

I do love Amos' vocals and I fully get why he does some of the parts while they're on tour, but it's very cool to get to hear just a whole lot of harsh from Dan here
