How is the a/c relay identified on the lid diagram? My 2009 looks a bit different and nothing says a/c.

Need advice. Fuse blew after Fan control knob began acting up for while. Did the swap like you said. All was well. 2 weeks later fuse blows again. What is causing fuse to blow?

Bro, I have a question. You have the same car here and I have ATM.
I’m not really wanting to check too much things.
But before I take it in, are both radiator fans supposed to be on when you have on the ac?

Very helpful video I actually do have a question My Highlander will blow warm air until I drive for a little bit after that it pumps out cold air even when stopped but if I shut down the unit and restart it it will blow warm air until driving again and it will continue to put cold air even at idle after the initial drive?

Hello heat isn't working on 02 Toyota highlander air kinda working but not as it should, have soldered the wires under know because of the common issue in this car, trying to find fuse for heating or is the heating and air the same fuse ,before I replace the blower motor and resistor!

Hello! I own a Toyota Highlander 2004 (basic 4 cyl. model, not digital AC controls). When it gets hot for being parked under the sun, for some reason the climate control unit does not turn on (the "Recirculate" button and the "A/C" button do not work). Only after it refreshes for some time with the windows down and under a shade, the power comes back to the AC controls and it works fine. My AC technician measured the gas levels and they are excellent. Do you think the AC relay could be the problem?

Yes. The heat is causing one of you contacts to loose contact. The wire may be pulling off the board or the contact may pull away from the wire. Heat is common problem with electrical systems in all types of vehicles. Did you fix your problem.

@@bitenmein Yes. I sent the unit to Auto Tech Rescue (Joplin, MO). They fixed it. It was not an easy job because it was a matter of the board (not the buttons or the connectors). I highly reccomend them. Thank you.

Hello. Thank you for this video. I have a 2006 Toyota highlander v6. The ac is on, the magnetic clutch spins, and fans are spinning but inside the suv I am getting no air blowing (hot or cold air blowing). I can hear the system turn on but nothing coming out of the vents. I touch the pipes and it's super cold. I switched fuses around but everything under the hood seems good. What am I missing? Thank you for your time.

If no air is blowing at all, it seems as though your blower motor is not coming on. I would tap on the blower motor, wiggle the connector and see if the motor is getting power and ground.

@@LehewTech I looked at the blower motor and did what u said and it worked. Thank you for saving the day! Instant subscribe.

Thanks for the video, very helpful. I have a little issue with my 2006 Highlander limited model. I am hoping you can help me to resolve the issues. During the heavy rains, I open the driver side and the rains got on the master power window switch, it works fine that same day, but the next day several things not working. 1) lock/unlock switch not working, 2) temperature gauge not working, 3) air bag light on, 4) tire pressure gauge is on, 5) climate control not working, it says check a/c connection, but navigation is working, 6) pressing the remote to lock/unlock lights does not come on but double click to unlock the entire doors the lights come on. I checked all the fuses under the hood and under the steering all fuses are good. Do you have know where I should look?

I have a 2005 and the AC sometimes wont turn on when you start up the car. If i guy and mess around in the fuse box pushing the AC fuse then it works fine until i have to repeat the process. Any ideas how to permanently fix? I figure just getting a new fuse may solve it but havent gone to get one yet

Everytime I turn on the car when the AC is in the on position it squeals loudly. I push the gas and it quiets down but that's getting worse. What is that?

I just saw your post. I have had my 2007 Highlander V6 for 17 years which I bought new. The alternator went bad about 2 years ago & I replaced the belts also. A couple of months later it started squealing when I started it. Seems it a glitch between the alternator & computer. Before starting your car turn the key forward to let the seatbelt indicator chime but don't start the car right away. Wait a few seconds & then start the car. This may also happen after you first start driving & turn on the air. As you drive a little the annoying sound should go away. My grandson found a video on RUclips about this for me. Too bad he moved 1,300 miles away to attend an Academy for his university because he was my tech support.

I have an 02'. It has the lowest temp. setting at 65. When i turn the temp dial to 66 it turns from room temp. to full blast heat. Odd. Additionally, when i press the AC button, it lights on for about 5 seconds, Solid Green. The AC clutch engages for about 5 seconds when i do this and then stops engaging. When it stops the AC light blinks. Any help would be highly appreciated! Thanks!
