Thank you so much for this video!!! You saved my life and no more “tuning” for cold air every time I get on the car😂
Glad it helped!
I wish you worked for my local dealer.
"Pull the knob off" 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Good one!!!
So in the end, it was just a nut job. Giggity. 😜
Excellent, there is a video on the repair of the ribbon I have done my own and other customers as well. The repair as takes about 45 min to an hour and you do need a soldering gun.
I sent mine out about two years ago, ribbon needed new solder and couple of other fixes to board all set now.
Great video,thanks.
Just tried this "TRICK" and it worked. Thank you so much.
Wow, tips and tricks from Vince, awesome!
Sure enough it was loose. Great fix, thanks.
Good job!
Same thing happened my wife's sister's Highlander, good video!
I've resoldered those ribbons, it's no fun. The ribbon is so tiny and stubby. I think if you hold the potentiometer with pliers while snugging up the nut it won't break the ribbon connection. the potentiometer tends to want to rotate if not held steady and I think that's how it breaks, or the solder is already broken and the little bit of rotation that occurs when tightening the nut pulls the ribbon away from the circuit board.
It's pretty common with the HL, I ended up braiding some wires together and replaced the ribbon cable. 8 years later still working like a charm.
This vid just made me 0.6 lmao
I'm glad I can help with the daily grind.
There you go being honest again !
Do you have video for changing the control panel our and how to replace a new one? Thanks
Any merch yet? T-Shirts, anything?
notification squad!🔥🔥🔥
If it was completely opposite, I'd just paint new blue and red marks on whichever side corresponds to what it does.
Wish this was the problem with my Lexus counterpart :(
Lesson of the video: check your nuts
Don't pull your knob too hard.

Customer states...WTF...has that ever happened?
CSW doesn’t like loose nuts…. Who can blame him?
My nuts hang really low in this hot weather
Wow, no parts required!
2007 Highlander 280,000 miles and still going strong. Oh, what a feeling. Like I'm feeling this vehicle is going to outlast me.
That’ll be $500.00 please!
Amt due: $743.50
