- Today I wanted to make this Lemon Pound Cake that was requested several times by some of our RUclips family members.😊

INGREDIENTS I USED:
Bake in oven preheated to 325 degrees for 1 hour 10-15 mins.
3 Sticks of Butter (Room Temperature)
3 Cups Sugar
5 Eggs (Room Temperature)
3 Cups Cake Flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Powder
1/4 Tsp Salt
1 Cup Milk (Room Temperature)
2 dropper fulls of Lemon Oil (or more) Can use Lemon Extract
1 Tsp Creme Bouquet Flavoring (Not a must have ingredient)
Drop of yellow food coloring to tint the batter just a little bit.
FOR LEMON GLAZE I USED:
Powdered Sugar
Lemon Extract
Lemon Juice
Milk

Believe it or not, I started cooking and baking because it made me feel close to my mom who was an excellent cook!!!🥰 I have so many sweet childhood memories about her in the kitchen cooking, and she would fix breakfast every Saturday morning. She passed away unexpectedly in March of 2016. This has really become my therapy, and I'm so thankful for the support of all my wonderful subscribers and viewers such as you.🥰 So thank YOU from the bottom of my heart!🥰 Sending hugs from NC~💕

I agree with @Dori T, @BeautifulTooCreations keep moving at the pace you feel comfortable with. Your videos are super informative, happy and relaxing. So much so, that I am going to try my hand at making this lemon pound cake. Which is my husband's FAVORITE cake. My last two attempts at making the pound cakes were horrible. So much so our granddog wouldn't touch it. 😂

LEMON ZEST
This is the best lemon pound cake I’ve have ever eaten. Making it again for my husband. I used 1Tbsp of lemon extract.

I love y'all. My Grandma used to add yellow food color to her cake because the eggs no longer had those vibrant orange color yolks. You have inspired me to start making pound cakes again. Will make this one this weekend for the Hospitality Table. Be Blessed & Be Well.!!!

Watching you this cold morning, haven't been to work since I tried to stroke out in November, now waiting on surgery. Made my husband watch with me, he looked at me and said "I like Strawberry 🍓 or Lemon 🍋 cakes 🎂 " prayed with me and went to work. So thank you Mrs. Donna, making a Lemon cake today. I made this the other night! Delicious and super moist. Tasted even better the next day. I only had 2% milk on hand, so I added 2 Tbsp veg oil to make up for the missing fat content. This cake didn't rise as tall b/c of the oil, although it's not much, but I don't look for that anymore. It's just not a big deal to me. But baby----this is a keeper! Instead of the paddle attachment, I used my wire whisk instead to incorporate more air and followed the recipe exactly from there. I plan to use a paddle next time to see if that makes any difference in texture and height. Thank you Ms Donna! This was awesome!

Hello I already asked that question and unfortunately her mixer is not offered anymore. The mixer is by Paula Deen you can Google it I did find a couple of them on Ebay.

Honestly, you guys are delightful! 'Zest" is the word that you would have remembered had you not been so tired. I see that many, besides me love watching the videos multiple times. Pastor Minor, was being tricksy! He was right! He was not lying. He said , "Fix this cake and eat all you want, you won't ,"pick-up" a pound! He is right if you fix this delicious cake and you eat too much, even the whole cake--you won't "pick up" a pound, but you might "gain" a pound! LOL! He reminds me of my Pop-Pop(granddaddy)when I was growing up. He was getting the best of her with, semantics! Literally, you could technically eat three, four, five....entire cakes and never pick up a pound, but you'll gain quite a few! Hahahahaha!
I don't bake cakes (plus on WW) but i love watching you bake and yall talking. My mom said she tried to give me cake batter and i turned my nose up.. she said she loved it as a child too. When i do make one i believe I'll make this one or the sweet potatoe one...

I made this cake, and oooommmmgggg!! It was a hit with my family. My only problem was I did not grease the pan properly, and it stuck to the pan only a little. But the taste was delicious. I say was, because in two days it was gone. I will be doing another one soon. I didn't use the lemon oil, but it was perfect. Thanks for sharing. I will be doing another one soon. I'll try to get picture. Oh and yes, I left a good amount to spoon out the bowl. lol
